This Crams Antique Globe is in excellent condition. Stands roughly 17 inches high with the Copper Plate base and sidearm. The globe features raised mountains. A local time mechanism on top to show times around the world compared to your local time and also shows the USSR as it originally was. It's a very neat globe in perfect condition and offers Sun Declination for every day of the year.

CRAMS Political Map of Europe- Superior Series Engraved. Printed and published by the George Cram Company, Indianapolis, IN The map is not dated. I believe this may be from the 1920's. It is an old school pull down map although the top rod"brackets" may need to be wound to tighten it to be able to roll it up or pull down. I did not want to try it. Right now it just hangs down. In the upper right hand corner is a label that says"Crams Markable-washable surface has been applied to this map. Mark on the surface with our special map crayon or water colors. Remove crayon with art gum and water colors with a moist cloth" The map is 50" wide and 44" L. Add another 6" if it is hung from the top rod. There is a tear in the middle and the sides are worn. Glass globes in this period are fairly rare due to their fragile nature and many have not withstood the rigors of time. Creating a glass world involved crafting a hand blown glass orb with each map gore precisely applied by hand. A time inclusive and skilled craft. This illuminated globe is from the Unrivaled Series of Cram globes. A series that included some of Crams finest globes, including the Serpent Crams, the Silver ocean Crams, and the Rockefeller Crams. It measures 13" tall. The stand is 16" wide at the widest part. The bottom of the stand is 10 1/4" wide. The color of the oceans on the globe is light blue(it looks green in some of the pictures but it is not green. It is blue) The globe sits on felt so that it can be turned/positioned on the stand. The globe does have wear. Scratches, scuffs, stains. There are 2 noticeable tears in the paper on the globe: one is 5/8" x 1" and the other is 1/4" x 1" please see photos) Otherwise, the globe and stand are in good vintage condition and will look great on display! Very rare and fantastic. Original 1894 hand colored Folding Pocket Map of the State of South Dakota by George F. Cram titled"Cram's Township and Railroad Map/ South Dakota" on the printed paper cover. Published by George F. Cram, of 415-417 Dearborn Street, Chicago. This outstanding. Hand colored, separately bound and issued, Folding Pocket Map measures approx. 24" by 18" and is titled in the cartouche simply“South Dakota/ 1894” There is also a Legend reading“Explanation. South Dakota. with the key explaining the different line types and colors on the map. The Map features exceptionally attractive, bright and vibrant, hand applied colors and the Map is exceptionally well preserved. Although it is dated 1894, the Map has the look of on early to mid 19th century folding Pocket Map. The Map is folded into printed paper ... morecovers that measure 4" by 6" with text on the back cover listing all of the other“Cram” maps available. Inside the paper covers is an index to the site map. As well as listings of all of the railroads. This fantastic. 1894 Washington State Folding Pocket Map is printed on rather delicate paper stock and yet has survived in excellent condition with one very small separation at in the margin along one of its folds, and a slight amount of light discoloration at a few fold areas(see the scans below) There are a few EXTREMELY small areas of separation at some of the fold areas, which are only visible on VERY close inspection. The blue paper covers are in good condition, and the interior of the booklet is in very good condition with some age toning and a very small amount of chipping to the edges. The interior book pages are detached at one of the spine staples, but the spine is still sound. Overall the Map displays absolutely beautifully. The 1888 Crams atlas has a worn binder. Both books have worm edges on covers. Both have some spots on pages. But in all around good condition for their age. Also added is a very old a Best known works of Nathaniel Hawthorne book 379 pages. Book is worn on outside cover, pages are a little tinted, but no tears on pages or cover.
