Scientific, and Statistical. By Professor Henry F. Walling and O.W. Gray, Civil& Top'l. Engineer. Published in 1872 by Stedman, Brown& Lyton, Philadelphia. The map has fantastic coloring to it and is a great period county map. With towns, cities, railroads, roads, etc. of the time. Excellent, detailed and interesting period map of these counties. The map is generally in Very Good condition. There is some wear and browning along the edges. There are some small tears and chips along the edges. There is a crease down the middle where it was originally bound. The bottom of the crease has a tear that extends just to the border line of the map. Other dings here and there. As well. This map is a great piece of US history! It will look very nice when framed. Please note that while I have included pictures of the front board of the Atlas and the Title Page from the Atlas this map was taken from. Nice Fillmore County. MN atlas from 1956 with a 1954 State Atlas. The Atlas was made by Thomas O. Nelson Company from Fergus Falls, MN. The first part of this atlas is the Fillmore County Township Maps. The second half of this atlas features all of the counties in Minnesota. The very first page of the state part is loose and has been damaged over the years on the outside edge. There is also pen tracing the border and some other scribbles on this page. Please see photos. I did see a couple other spots with the writing/scribbling. See photo 11. Other than the one page and a couple scribbles. This is a nice atlas! Enclosed are several copies of the 1960 Jevne Township plat map and a road map of Big Sandy Lake. Good. Not very good, condition. There's a light brown foxing/oxidation stain on the front cover, and in the bottom inner corner and edge of several pages inside, not interfering with legibility. This beautiful map was printed in the O.W. Gray National Atlas. It was drawn by Frank A. Gray who did many of the outstanding maps for the Gray Atlases of the period. Accurate to about 1876 in the post Civil War/Reconstruction era as the railroads were beginning to expand again and the great Cattle Trails were still in progress. This fine map is full of detail. The Comanche's and Kiowa's were still a threat. Most of the Counties had been organized and were on the map but many were still not functional in the Panhandle, the LLano Estacado area and in the far west. In Indian Territory. Greer County is notated as claimed ... moreby Texas in that famous border dispute. Several maps of this period show Galveston which was the major portal into Texas. But in addition this map shows the Galveston Harbor sounding chart(Lower right) as well as very early images of the city of Austin(Lower left) a small map of the the River System's of Texas(Upper right) and an elevation map of Texas and Indian Territory at the Upper Left. There are many long lost place names and there are fantasy projections of proposed railroads that were either located elsewhere or never built. This is one of the few major post-Civil War maps that shows most of the entire state of Texas without chopping off either the Panhandle or the western sections which adds greatly to the visual appeal. Barnstable County 1880 George Walker atlas
The first atlas of Cape Cod published by George H. Walker in 1880. Depicting 70 individual maps of every town and village, with the name and location of each property owner. The original atlas production run of about 400 copies was out of print by 1881 and never went to a second printing. Barnstable county one of the last existing of the atlas that have not been pulled apart for map by map sales. This atlas is in good condition for its age. Atlas spine is loose but all maps are intact, it needs to be rebound and restored. The insides of the boards(covers) have a mottled look. While loosely bound, it is not tight but the maps, lithos, and other pages are in overall good condition with some creases, folds, minor edge tears, dirtiness, age toning. The last map of the atlas is a two page map of the Village of Provincetown that has two tears in ... morethe lower center of the map near the center fold. One approximately four inches, the other three inches, archival mending tape will remedy it. First created. In 1685, of Plymouth Colony. County seat: Barnstable. For sale is 1929 Standard Atlas of Champaign County IL plat map. It is in good condition considering its age. The cover has some wear to the edges and mildew stains. The gold embossing on the cover is intact! There is a decorative embossing on the linen covering that is still very prominent. The spine is still complete. But is separating from the binding. The binding and staples holding the pages together is still strong. The paper is lightly yellowed and there is some moisture stains and foxing. It is 118 pages including the supplements. This is a beautiful. Rare, 1915 Color Atlas of Wright County. Minnesota. It is in very good condition. With some fraying around the edges of the cover and back, and a somewhat loose spine. All pages are present and intact. Some very nice collectible features include a color world map. A photo page of world leaders of the time, and a list of all towns in the United States with a population of over 2,000. 1929 Atlas & Farmers Directory of LAC QUI PARLE County Minnesota Plot Plats Maps
Atlas and Farmers' Directory of Lac Qui Parle County. Minnesota, Containing Plats of all Townships with Owner's Names, also an Outline Map of the County and Outline Map of the State of Minnesota. Published in 1929 by The Farmer, The Northwest's Only Weekly Farm Paper, and Webb Publishing Co. St. Paul. This folio-sized(11.5 X 16 in. 52 page, red cloth hardcover contains colored maps of each township and a map of Minnesota in the very back. The maps are very detailed, showing the property owners, and their names on the facing pages. This is a worn. But acceptable copy. The spine was very tattered and reconstructed with some glue. The boards have scattered stains(front pretty much the same as the back) and board corners are rubbed through. The edges of both endpapers are moth-eaten. Inside, there are ink circles around several township ... morenames on the county map(shown in pic#2 above) and light brown foxing stains throughout. Pages are complete, otherwise tightly bound together, and all text is legible. This was previously stored in a basement, so it had a musty smell, which is rapidly diminishing though(at this point, I don't smell anything malodorous) Enclosed are an old Corn Hog Contract and Tax Receipt for 1937.
