A very rare early victorian castle top heavily chase and repousee decorated vinaigrette in the shape of a fishing bag. The vinaigrette is hallmarked for 1848-49 and was assayed in Birmingham by C.WC. The overall condition is great although when the top is opened it catches the grill also to be noted pohot 6 there is a minute split on the edge also the grill hinge end has a minute split. This piece is extremely rare and the and the minor splits can be repaired. The diamentions and weight are Hieght 2.5cm. Width of the castle top 3.5cm, depth of the castle top 1.5cm. Here is a vintage The Islands of Bermuda souvenir plate. It is 4 3/4" in diameter and is marked"Lord Nelson Pottery England" on the back along with"9-66" which I assume means it was made in 1966. It is in excellent condition with no visible signs of chips or cracks and little. If any, signs of paint missing or crazing. It features a detailed map of the Bermuda Islands with each parish or state marked along with harbours, sounds, and some points of interest in the center. Each side is handpainted with a different array of beautiful Billingsley roses and flowers. Measures 8" Has spaces for inkwell and pen holders. Sadly. The piece has been damaged badly. Someone tried to restore the piece and failed to fix it or finish it. Lots of chip painted over and broken finials. A hairline down one painting and yellowing from the repair. It needs tlc.
