There is enameling of a Horse Drawn Cart with a Male Figure inside the Cart. Probably Nobility. Following the Cart it appears to be a Servant with some type of warrior with a Spear and a Flag attached to the Spear. Behind the Warrior is an Elephant with its Trunk up for Good Luck with a similar Servant and Warrior behind him. The Enamel is well executed and very colorful. There are two Oriental Styled Buttressed Handles on each side of the tall cylindrical neck that rises up off the body of the Vessel. This kind of gives this an Arts and Crafts Flare with an Oriental touch! There is enameling at the Base, waist and Neck of this Cylindrical form. It is a decorated Asian Influenced Border with colors of Deep Teal Green with Brown and Raspberry accents. The Vase is considered to be in excellent condition as there are no cracks. Nicks, chips or dings. There is crazing throughout the Vessel and was purposely made this way. The piece is signed with Blue/Green enameling on the bottom side. I was told by a renowned Pottery expert that this is a Japanese Signature or Cypher and was made Circa 1920-1930. This is a quality piece of Art Pottery.
