1958 Vintage MATTEL MODERN Furniture WARDROBE #809 HANGERS DANISH Barbie Eames
From the Mattel pamphlet: Collapsible wardrobe will hold dresses for 8" and 10.5" dolls. Two drawers for shoes and accessories. Also includes 6 plastic clothes hangers. Size: 4.5" by 10" by 7" This open wardrobe is from the Mattel Modern line manufactured in 1958. Its overall appearance is very nice. It does have a slight bit of separation to the bottom right corner. Where time has dried the wood and caused it to open at the seam slightly. See picture) You may be able to glue and clamp this back into perfect condition. The wood on the wardrobe is in great condition, no major scratches or scrapes. It actually came with what I believe to be the original plastic bag that fit over the top, and 6 clear plastic hangers. It appears to have been played with very little, and it was stored nicely. Description: This auction is for a vintage Betsy McCall wooden wardrobe and 2 matching chairs made by Strombecker. These were made in the 1950's. They are in very good preowned condition. The wardrobe has a decal of Betsy McCall and one of birds on the front. The wardrobe has its knobs on the doors. A removable shelf and a clothes hanging rod inside. The white paint of the wardrobe has a few small dings– primarily on the bottom and an off color spot on the top, but it is in great shape for its age. Stamped on the wardrobe bottom is a copyright mark that is a little faded and the words, MCCALL'S, Made by STROMBECKER" The chairs have decals of flowers. Stamped on the bottoms of both chairs you can very faintly see the words. STROMBECKER/Moline, Ill. U.S.A. one chair is clearer than the other. It appears that the manufacturer painted ... morewhite over the stamped marks on the undersides. The chairs have a couple of minor dings. Vintage ART DECO Wooden Dollhouse Doll House Dresser Wardrobe Cabinet 1930s-40s
If your dolls are like Nick and Nora in The Thin Man. You need this dresser! A piece of high-style ART DECO doll dollhouse furniture with the obligatory streamlined architectural features on each side. Straight from the 1930's or 40's. This dresser or wardrobe has an opening drawer with a wide dowel drawer pull, and two opening doors beneath with a metal bar sized perfectly for hanging doll-sized hangers. On a raised base in keeping with the design. Mostly of wood- likely pine or fir- with the drawer front and doors veneered on their fronts and backs. The back of the cabinet and the back and bottom of the drawer are vintage cardboard. Door hinges are brass as well. The entire piece is assembled with brass escutcheon pins(nails) Typical for the period. Top corners are radiused, as are the side pieces. Overall, this shows thoughtful ... moreand careful design and construction, suggesting it was not an inexpensively made piece when new. Since then. It has seen some extensive play. The finish is worn in several places, and the veneer is chipped off on the top corners of both doors. The right door also has a nibble of veneer missing from the bottom. The front left edge of the drawer is missing along with a bit of veneer. There are small scratches and nicks along the edges and on the toe kick on the bottom. The cardboard back also shows wear. Hinges on the left door have been replaced with non matching ones. And the nails are steel rather than brass. Where the right door has the pins neatly clenched over, the clenching of the new nails on the repaired door is definitely a clumsier job. It is not noticeable from the outside. Despite the wear and tear. It is a visually pleasing piece of furniture. 12 1/2" high x 11 1/4" wide x 4 1/2" deep The piece has a definite presence of its own. It would work well with 18-22" dolls. Or equally well as a decorative accent in a non-dollhouse setting. An unusual and interesting addition to any collection.

This is a vintage 1950's yellow wooden doll furniture ARMOIRE/WARDROBE in very used condition. It has one pull out drawer at the bottom. It is missing the dowel to hang the clothing. It is painted yellow and has decals of flower baskets on each door/drawer front. Appears structurally sound but original paint is discolored. Scuffed and well worn. The decals are aged. There is some tape residue and the hinges have rusting. There has been no attempt at restoration. The chest measures approx. 12" W x 13" High x 5 1/4" Deep. Antique Vintage Steamer Wardrobe Trunk THE ULTIMATE STEAMPUNK Trunk
THIS IS MY VINTAGE STEAMER TRUNK FOR SALE Let me tell you about it. Its HUGE! 3 feet 5 inches tall. And 2 foot square. Made by"EVERWARE" Trunks. Newark NJ. And made With"Guaranteed Hard Vulcanized Fibre" Its is a dark green. The pulls in side are steel the locks and hardware on the out side are brass, the brass is alittle rusted and very tarnished. There are some traveling stickers on it but are all modern. I do have a Key for the large outside lock. And the not pictured bar lock that keep the drawers from falling out. I did add some small plastic ledges under the drawers, to make them able to pull out. One of the 15 hangers are original the rest are reproductions. The bars the cloths hangers hang out pulls out, this extends the bars to a full foot, and the top flips open. The Other side of the trunk has 4 drawers. First ... moreon top is 10" X 4" has a 1/3 divider. The Second Drawer. Is 9 inches deep 10 inches from front to back The 3rd Drawer. Is is 9 inches deep 10 inches front to back The 4th Drawer is 15 inches deep and 10 inches front to back has 1/3 divider. Again the condition is not great but at this point its 100 years old smells alittle musty rusty around the edges. But this is a one of a kind trunk. i used it for many years and kept everything i ever needed inside it, as i dragged this 150 + pound thing across the USA, you should do the same. Vintage Barbie Susy Goose furniture open wardrobe for SKIPPER & 3 hangers (1965)
Susy Goose Skipper furniture. 1965 I'm not sure what to call this piece of Susy Goose furniture but it is like an open wardrobe without doors. It has a bar at the top for hanging clothes with 3 Susy Goose hangers and it has two drawers at the bottom. I would say it is in fair condition. It has several issues. But maybe someone will find it useful. It has some scuff marks, a couple of minor melt marks, and it is missing most of the gold color on the trim. The drawers slide in and out easily, but some of the pink covering on the drawers is peeling up around the edges. The corner of the base on the front is chipped off on one corner, photo 6) but it does not affect the stability of the piece. It can still stand upright and it is not wobbly. It has a purple"jewel" decoration on the top. VINTAGE Wardrobe Steamer Truck - 14 PLYWOOD Hangers, 4 Drawers ALL ORIGINAL
For PICK UP ONLY. I have a VINTAGE wardrobe STEAMER TRUNK. As far as I can tell, everything is ORIGINAL, including the 14 PLYWOOD hangers. When closed, standing up, it is 48 inches tall, 23 inches wide and 21 inches deep. The exterior has wood bands down the sides, leather on the corners and edges and metal reinforcement bands, hinges and latches. The black material appears to be vinyl. The interior is lined with olive drab canvas. I think the drawers are thin wood with leather pulls. There is a partial travel sticker on the bottom that looks like it says, DE DOUANE. Judging from the tears in the black covering, it probably had a few more stickers that were, unfortunately, removed. Again. Everything looks original, so it’s probably a good candidate for restoration. Of course, there’s basic wear and tear, plus: On the outside, the hardware ... moreis dark and oxidized but functional. The leather is cracking with some chunks missing. The vinyl is torn away in small places and there’s a few old paint drips and spatter. There’s also a gouge in the wood from a hardware joint at the center, top of the case. On the inside, the canvas is soiled and water stained in places. The canvas separator is especially stained. The drawers are all structurally intact and the leather pulls are not cracked. The canvas that is more of a khaki color is faded olive drab. One of the hangers is warped and another has a split on the end. The interior leather straps have some cracks and one of the loops that holds them in place is broken. There are no bad odors, but when I opened it up for the first time in a few years, I re-Lysoled it just in case there was any lingering mildew. Some flash photography was used.
