The humidity from key west has lent itself to corroding the nails that hold the interior fabric and have bled into the fabric as well. There is some waving to the LV logo decor on the outside left This beautiful piece has castors/ wheels on the underside. I do NOT have a key for the trunk This piece would be awesome as a coffee table or by itself. This is such a big trunk you could store most anything in it.old linens. Comforters, pillows, books, etc. A great statement piece. This would be great as it sits or a beauty restored. The trunk opens/closes well and the latches latch as well. The lock hasn't been tested as I don't have a key. It may have had a monogram on each"handle" side. see yellow faded squares) or maybe this is residue from old travel stickers? Buttons. Latches, hinges and leather straps are marked. The lock doesn't look to be original hence not marked. The leather security strap is too short to latch to the buckle. The leather handles on sides has since broken off. The interior is original but has been soiled.see photos I am NOT an expert on Louis Vuitton.
