It measures 36 inches long by 24 in ches tall with the lid closed by 20 inches deep. It features a remova ble storage tray and more linens. Beddings. And clothing can be placed underne ath for conv enient additional hu ge storage. It is a wood structure trunk and frame with smooth me tal(black) and woven pattern metal riveted overlays with beautiful beading to ta ck in metals and curved and straight gorg eousl y grained wood slat s. Here's what I stated about it s condition: Metal overlay surfaces have been repainted and restored. Some scratches and scuffs marks on beautifully grained wood slats. Leather handle missing on left side. Flip up side locking latches both flip up into locking position. But only one catches to keep it lock closed and the other is missing its catch. Center locking latching closes in position but does not lock and there is no key. Interior lining shows foxing and staining and has some t ares due to great age. But smells clean with nice scent like cedar inside. Truly a rare beauty of extra large size that has great looks and craftsmanship on evident in these earlier era pieces of exceptional beauty. So you may want to grab it quick, before it is gone! Note: Not shipping overseas nor to Alaska on this one. Only to domestic United States. The trunk features a"cushion top" with a fold out hanger system with original hangers. The drawers are all there. As well as a piece that sits in the bottom drawer(see pictured photo) There is also a piece thats used to secure the hangers farther back that is pictured. The hinges are all working however need to be cleaned. The locks appear in very good condition. No keys. These trunks were the very best. Right at the top with Louis Vuitton, Goyard, M. M. Secor, etc. This trunk was one of Hartmann's top models of the time, costing close to $200.that's over $2500 in today's market. Only a well-to-do gentleman or lady would have owned something this expensive and of this quality. This particular trunk is a cushion-top model, and is also gibraltarized, patentened process in order to make the trunk frame very strong. This is all steel-frame construction. The trunk features a velvet cushioned top to protect clothing during travel. All original"unbreakable hangers" a garment bag for clothing worn, all hand riveted, and featered a patented locking mechanism that actually hooks so your trunk would never open in travel. From the hangers to the cloth lining, and cloth ties, this was made for an entire wardrobe to moved about without putting a wrinkle in any of your items. Vintage Travel Wardrobe Steamer Trunk Nice and Clean
Up for auction is this very nice Vintage Steamer Trunk it is in good condition considering it's age. It does not have any name on it that I can see. It has on the leather handle some indentions of words but all I can make out is R-407. The lock has Everlasting lock D63 but the lock is broke which could be replaced. I guess it wasn't everlasting. There is a little water damage on the inside please look at photo's 3&4. This is a great way to store your special things you want to keep.Thank you and happy bidding. Vintage or Antique Hartmann Tourobe Wardrobe Travel Steamer Trunk Suitcase
This is an antique or vintage Hartmann Tourobe made in Racine WI travel wardrobe trunk. Trunk measures about 35" x 20" x 12" This has been used. There are surface scratch/rub marks on the outside of the trunk, the leather handle is broken off, the closures work but there is not a key to lock them. Trunk is has markings on the end that say Lt. Comdr. Johnstone MCVS U.S.N.R. on the end and a sticker that says Gibalterized. The Hartmann Tourobe Racine Wi sticker is intact. There are travel stickers attached to the outside and a tag that says Railway Express, Inc. War Won't Wait, if that helps to date it. This outside is black with metal, and not sure what the main material is, maybe a pressed wood. The inside is blue with 3 compartments on the fold down side, 2 of the compartments have cloth ties, the top cloth part folds ... moreover and snaps at the end, snap pieces are intact. The other side has 2 wood hangers and the metal pieces that hold the hangers fold in to hold the hangers and can be folded out when the trunk is opened. There are some water marks on the cloth cover of the fold out part and a musty smell to the inside of the trunk. The red stripes on the outside of the trunk do have rub marks.

Vintage 1940 Louis Vuitton Wardrobe Steamer Trunk
This old trunk is a beautiful example of the Louis Vuitton monogram pattern trunks made since 1896 in Paris. A real classic! This is a wardrobe style trunk that was designed to hold hanging clothes. When stood upright and opened in the center this would be like a personal closet and the clothes rod pulls out to allow easy access to the hanging clothes. This trunk has the original marked wood hangers. The exterior LV monogrammed covering is in excellent condition with only minimal signs of wear.Even the large leather handle is in good condition. This was a high-grade trunk with all brass hardware. Including many brass rivets all marked with the Louis Vuitton name. The demensions of the trunk are 36 x 22 x 12.

1920-1930 wardrobe steaner trunk. It is a druck egg blue.With parts of it had fabric/ silver interior. All the drawers are in tact and the hinges are in tact. The vintage handles are all in tact. center lock has been scratched, some one has used a tool to get open. Length 41 standing up. 22 inches long 14 inches closed botton to top. We are 40 miles east of Dallas Texas, I will ship, however it has to be local shipper that I can get it to easily, This trunk is gorgeous in color, I don't know if it is the original colors, It has been exposed to some moisture at some time as the fabric inside looks like it. It definantly needs work.

Vintage camelback steamer trunk with decorative stamped tin on top. Front and sides. This is a small trunk as the dimensions show below. More manageable size than some of the very large ones I've seen. As you can see from the pictures the tin has developed a beautiful greenish patina. All natural and from what I can tell untouched as far as being refinished. It takes a long time to get that type of patina in the metalwork. It looks really awesome. Some original paper still remains on inside. Has built-in casters. Handles are rotted away as most are on the trucks 100 years old. It measures 30"Long x 16"Deep x 19"Tall. This auction is for a beautiful antique wardrobe steamer trunk made by the National Vulcanized Fibre Company. The construction of these trunks bearing the indian-head label date back to the late 1800s into the early 1900s. This particular piece has been stored in my moms attic since she and my dad purchased their house in 1965 from an old couple who had lived in the home since i was built in 1924. I'm estimating the age of this trunk to be anywhere between 90 and 100 years old. As seen in the pictures the trunk had been only slightly used and does not show any signs of travel use. It shows signs of oxidation on the metal parts and slightly on the vulcanized material. The leather handle has not worn out and is still in good condition bearing the number 524-22.
