Vintage Progress, Louisville Metal Chest / Cooler advertising 7-UP Soda Pop
Up for auction is a terrific old. ALL ORIGINAL, 7-Up metal cooler made by Progress Refrigeration of Louisville, Kentucky back in the 1950's. This cooler was purchased new by my parents and is the one that my mom used to pack for our summer fishing trips to my grandpa's place on the Meramec River. I remember she always made sure that there were plenty of sandwiches in the galvanized tray and plenty of ice and sodas(and maybe a couple of Falstaffs) in the bottom. Oh. and a tin of red wigglers. The cooler has some dents. Rust spots, etc. the kind of wear one would expect on an over 60-year-old cooler. The cooler measures approximately 19"L x 13.5"W x 18.5"H and weighs 23 lbs(with packing material almost 26 lbs) The original galvanized tray is still present, and is in good condition. The original bottle opener is still ... moresecurely mounted to the side, should you need it. JAPANESE VINTAGE 80 YEAR OLD SHOWA ERA DOORED PAULOWNIA CHADANSU TANSU CHEST
Known as a chadansu. This chest was made and used about 80 years ago in the early Showa period(c. 1930) The chadansu or tea chest often had open areas for display of one's prized tea bowls or vases(see first picture) This tansu chest is made of solid dove tailed kiri(paulownia) wood and hardened hinoki wood peg construction(see next to last picture) Both doors as well as the drawer move easily without binding. Stylized fan cutouts act as hand holds to more easily carry this small chest(see pictures 5.6, 7) This chest has a 80+ year old warm aged patina. And, with the exception of some very minor signs of loving use is in very fine condition and should serve one well for another century of use. Vintage Wood Storage Treasure Dome Chest Trunk with Brass Inlay and Trim Inside Tray Here is a beautiful wood storage chest trunk for your buying consideration. Recently picked it up at an auction. Not sure whom the maker of this great piece is. My guess is that this chest was made in Asia. But again just a guess. Not sure what the wood type is. It does have some great graining in it. What is really eye catching with this chest is the brass inlay and the designs they make on all sides of the chest with the exception of the bottom. Neat design to hold the lid in place. You open the chest and there is a wood plate on the back of the trunk that holds the lid up instead of just a chain or strap. There is a nice wooden tray with a carrying handle that sits snugly in the top of the chest. I see no major cracks. Splits, or repairs to the wood to ... morereport to you. The latch on the front of the chest and the hinges appear to be made of brass as well. For that little pirate in you or a loved one. This chest just has a great look to it. Vintage Medicine Cabinet Chest WOOD Double Door PORCELAIN KNOBS 26"x16 3/8"
This is a vintage double door wooden wall hung cabinet/chest. It measures aprox. 26"x16 3/8" With a depth of 4 1/2" when the doors are closed. It has 2 small porcelain knobs; all hinges are present, but some are in need of new hinge rods, so you may want to replace, or just get new rods(see photos) There are no mirrors(they were broken when I got it) so the front is open. It's in need of a detailed cleaning due to a long storage period, but it's great for re-purposing, refinishing, or just polishing up. Please use photos as part of the description. This is a vintage. 1989 or whereabouts, Marine Corps official dress blazer or coat or jacket, amazingly crisp and smart, pitch black, with gold buttons that laser-beam-shining gold metal buttons, shoulder patches and ribbons. Vintage COLEMAN SNOWLITE METAL COOLER Ice Chest Diamond 1951 + Original Box
This cooler is in great shape for it's age. I think it was made in 1951 because it has the number"51" on the bottom. It does have a few minor scratches/scuffs etc. But. Overall it's in great shape. The original box is included(see photos) It is somewhat beat up. The measurements of the cooler are approximately 22" x 15 1/2" x 13" Please email me with any questions. Up for auction is a Vintage Lane Salesman Sampler Cedar Chest. The chest is hinged with lock. The interior lid is stamped: Lane. Presented by, Carson Furniture, Inc. 1809 N. Carson St, Carson City" and that is in Nevada. This is a Salesman Sample Chest. This was a small compact chest that either the salesman or the store would have to show the potential customer or store owner what the full size chest would look like. This chest measures 9" long x 3 1/4" tall x 4 3/4" wide. It comes with a key, but I was not able to lock it. Some minor scratches and could use a good polishing from age, otherwise in excellent condition. Great as a trinket or jewelry box, or whatever use you may have. Buy more than one item and I will combined items to save on shipping charges! If you don't like the shipping quotes, I also use FedEx ... moreand usually cheaper for heavier items.
