Vintage Asian Oriental Bronze Bearded Merchant Man w/ Sack & Chest
This is an Oriental bronze figure that belonged to a late friend. There was no information with this piece but to me it looks Japanese probably 20th century. The figure measures 6" tall with base width of almost 2 3/4" The stern looking bearded gentleman is wearing a robe. Cap and slippers. He is using a shoulder stick with full sack on one end and large hat tied to the other end. In one hand under arm looks like box or chest of some type, possibly a merchant of some sort? I see no signs of damage or repairs anywhere on the figure, and the patina looks original and untouched. It is hollow but still a bit hefty. An unusual and interesting piece from private collection. UNUSUAL VINTAGE FOOTED PINE JEWELRY BOX or TRINKET CHEST
This is a very cute jewelry or trinket box. I think the wood is pine but you be the judge. The oblong octagon/rectangle shape sits on two"table leg" type feet. The inside is lined in a feather-print velveteen and a mirror is inside the lid. This box was probably hand made. I picked it up at an estate sale and do not know how old it might be. The inside drawer measurment is 28-3/8" X 25" This chest has some deep scratches across the top& the RH side panel is an added piece of particle board because it had been mounted against something else at one time. The left side still has its original side panel. I do not have any pics of that side because its sitting against the wall& I cant move it right now to get the pics. The chest could stand to be refinished primarily because of the deep scratches on the top& discoloration on the legs. Outside of the deep scratched in the top& the added side& normal wear. I have up for auction an antique/vintage 7 piece bedroom set. The seet consits of a double bedd. With a headboard, footboard, and two 7" side rails, does not include, matress, box spring or bedding. I have used this with a double bed metal frame that fits inside this perfectly. There is a regular dresser that has two small drawers, and two large drawers, the large mirror, that swivels and is held on with decorative pieces, this dresser measures 44" wide, 36 1/2" tall and 21 1/2" deep, the mirror is 44" wide and 31 1/2" tall. The tall chest that has two lower large drawers and the doors open for three more drawers. This measures 36" wide, 47" tall and 20 1/2" deep. These have all the original hardware and the dressers have the original caster feet. The bed has a tall 48" headbboard, a 38" ... morefootboard and two nice side rails that are 7" each. Inside the one there is a rotating necklace hanger, 2 compartments and mirrored back. The other one has 9 long ring slots. One pull out drawer for storage. Pink velvet lining. Lovely Vintage King Edward VIII Coronation OXO Tin Money Box 1937 Treasure Chest
You are invited to bid on this lovely decorative tin money box. Made to commemorate the Coronation of King Edward VIII on 12th May 1937. Of course, because of Edward's abdication, this never took place and was instead replaced by the Coronation of King George VI& Queen Elizabeth on the same date. The tin was made by OXO to hold their OXO cubes and is a nice piece of vintage OXO advertising material. The tin is coloured postbox red with gold and black decoration. On one side it says"OXO Coronation Treasure Chest" and the edges and corners of the box are decorated with faux metal banding to simulate a treasure chest. On the lid is a gold coin featuring the King's head flanked by an English rose and a Scottish thistle. Vintage Chinese Wood Brass Jewelry Box Cabinet Chest Bats Double Happiness
Vintage solid wood and brass jewelry cabinet. Made in China. Dovetail construction. Detailed with what I believe to be the double happiness and bat symbols. The doors have the double happiness symbol with bat pulls. While the sides and top have the double symbol surrounded by four bats. I believe the brass hinges are also bat symbols. Double front doors and four inner drawers. All the drawers are lined with red satin. I believe the drawer pulls are also bats. The symbols on the door have protrusions with holes that looks as though they may have had a string or cord that went through them at one time. Like something that may have tied together to secure the doors shut. I am not certain about this. But wanted to make sure I brought it to your attention. The top 2 drawers are one single box. While the 2 lower also have ring holders. 9 ¾” ... morehigh. 7” wide. 4 ¾” deep. Very solid and heavy. The cabinet weighs 6 lbs. The brass is showing some patina. A good sign of age. I am not very familiar with this type of thing and have described this cabinet to the best of my knowledge. Please refer to the pictures for more detailed description. If you have any questions. It features gorgeous double sliding tambour doors that open to reveal a spacious open interior with 2 full width pull out drawers. Both with green felt lined bottoms. Solid teak door handles have a really cool triangular shape and the piece is finished off with solid teak turned wood legs. This is very well made and nice and solid and the legs will remove for shipping. measurements Overall 33 3/4" wide by 15 3/4" deep by 30" high. Interior is overall 28 3/4" wide by 14 3/4" deep by 18 3/8" high. ITEM DESCRIPTION You are bidding on a vintage Original Trav.L.Bar(travel bar) by Ever-Wear. It comes complete(without the liquor bottles) in a black case that measures 13 x 11 x 5 1/4. The case is in pretty darn good shape for it's age. Just some very minor surface scratching and a few small ware spots. The case has a locking latch(do not have the key) The inside of the case is in excellent condition with all the leather straps to hold the liquor bottles as well as all of the bar utensils and bar accessories. There is a stain spot in the center section where the liquor bottles would be stored. It comes with the 4 drink cups. The shot glass, a serving tray, a mixing spoon and a bottle/can opener with a bake-lite type handle. The cups and shot glass are all embossed with the Crest of a Knight on them.
