Leather and metal Steampunk Goggles w/ interchangeable lenses & wood trunk
Up for your consideration is a hand made set of steampunk goggles with interchangeable lenses. They are made with leather and brass and will accent your steampunk garb nicely. Included is a nice wood and leather pillowed trunk to store them in for protection. I kept them red lenses in for the shows I attended but this set does come with mirrored lenses as well. As you can see in the last photo. The mirrored lenses have some of the mirror finished missing. This is supposed to make them look aged. The strap is adjustable to fit many sized heads and/or hats. I am only selling these because my current life situation does not allow me any time to attend shows and festivals where they would be appreciated. I hope someone else can give them some more use. Leather covered Louis Vuitton Vintage Antique Travel Trunk circa 1900's
Trunk Description: Approximate measurements: 30” wide. 15” tall, 15” deep. A travel trunk manufactured and labeled by Louis Vuitton of Paris. France, circa early 1900's. A leather covered trunk with leather corner bindings and brass latches, lock, and rivets. The trunk serial number is 181974, stamped on the inside lining next to the label as typical. The Louis Vuitton signature style label, showing the Paris and London retail addresses, is in very good condition. The trunk was made sometime between about 1910 to 1930 based on the serial number, but only the Louis Vuitton company has the records which can identify the actual age of the trunk. The brown leather covering shows typical signs of aging and wear, and there is a small piece missing on the front of the lid. The leather corner binding is in good condition with some rubbed spots. ... moreThe center leather tie-down strap is missing, but the leather strap holders are present except the one over the lock. The two side handles are missing and the rivcts for the handles holders are present. There are several partial paper travel stickers on the trunk which do not add any specific history for the trunk. The interior lift out trays are missing as well as the lower divider pieces which are removable. The lining is in fair to good condition with some small stains and small tears. The leather on the bottom of the trunk is aged and cracked, but present and the three wood slats are all marked with the name and have the original iron rollers. This trunk was advertised by Louis Vuitton as a flat top“Boot and Shoe Trunk” according to descriptions from early Louis Vuitton catalogs. Sizes of these trunks varied a little over the years. But this style and size indicate it was a Ladies Boot and Shoe Trunk. The boot and shoe trunks were made in various sizes for men and women, with several sizes to hold different numbers of pairs of shoes and boots. This is a wonderful original leather covered document box or small trunk from around 1840. It has five leather bands and is covered with 76 large brass button head nails! There are an additional 15 on the bottom) The interior is original as well and has rare patterned paper with a small covered compartment inside. The trunk also has its original leather valance. Winship is an early company established in the 1700's and that manufactured trunks. They joined forces in 1776 with the London Harness Company. I am not sure about the exact age of this trunk. I believe this is a trunk designed to be used in a wagon/coach or an early car. It has leather bindings which appear to be for strapping it into a vehicle. the straps would slip thru the bindings) There are wooden boards on the bottom to protect the trunk so I would say it is well constructed. It has what I believe is a linen lining which is very securely ... moreattached to the leather. It has a nice lock on the front but there is no key. There are 2 leather handles on each end of the trunk for carrying and these are in very nice condition. On the front is the brass plague/label for W.W. Winship of Boston. Mass. Please refer to photo# 5. The trunk measures about 29 1/2 inches side to side across the outside edges and it is 15 1/2 inches front to back. It measures 12 1/2 inches top to bottom. It is in good condition but not perfect. It does have some wear to the surface as can be seen in the photos and also to the edges/corners of the lid from use. As mentioned there is no key to the lock. The leather is somewhat stiff from age as might be expected. It has been lightly cleaned with saddle soap but could probably use more and a leather conditioner would help to soften the leather. Overall. Considering the age it is in very nice condition. As nice trunk to use for storage and display in your home. Please refer to the photos which can be enlarged to see all the details and determine the condition. Up for auction is an original antique hard leather trunk. Circa 1835- 1840, made by BURR& SHAW of Providence, Rhode Island. This stagecoach trunk measures approximately 16" x 10" x 7" high. And has brass tacks all around it. They also used the brass studs for the owners initials. D. A. The trunk was acquired among many items from the Buffalo Bill Wild West Show. The 101 Ranch and just a vast array of old western antiques. Without any additional provenance though, it's hard to say who the trunk belonged to. The original label inside the box. Shows Edward Burr and Bradford C. Shaw were in the business of making hard leather, boot top and hide trunks as well as valises(suitcases) carpet bags, riding saddles, gig and team harnesses. Burr and Shaw were also in the Fire Fighting business and manufactured leading and suction ... moreengine hose. Fire buckets, military caps and equipment generally. ANTIQUE 1920's ROUND CASE LUGGAGE HAT BOX TRUNK LEATHER TRIM TRAVEL STICKERS
An antique 1920's round black case/ luggage/ hat box/ trunk with leather trim and quite a few old travel stickers. It measures approximately 20" in diameter with one flat side so it can sit up without a problem X 9 3/4" high. There are 2 small brass hinges on the lid that hold it to the base of the case and there are 2 ribbons that serve as stays when the case is opened so the lid won't flop backwards when it's opened. It would seem that the lady who owned this hat case was a woman of'means' when you look at all the places it has been. And she most likely owned several others as well as the one you see here. One of the stickers on the case indicate the woman's name was Amelia Gebhard traveled in Cabin#11 on the Norddeutscher Lloyd(North German Lloyd) shipping line from Bremen to New York on 8-24-1926. Some ... moreof the stickers are the Hotel Post Reichspost in Heidelberg. Germany- the Carlton Hotel Tivoli in Lucerne, Switzerland- and the Hotel Milan in Stresa, Italy. That's pretty much all I was able to identify but you may be more successful. This elegant leather trunk was made in the early 1900's for well-to-do travelers, and serves as an excellent early example of the adornments that would later be copied and standardized after the second world war. Nailhead studs line the stretched leather frame, and the brass hardware stands out against the rich brown backing. The hardware is all hand done. It is European because of the style of the hardware and design. I have not been able find any makers marks. It has hand-painted#4 on each side of the trunk. Antique Trunk Wood Covered In Leather 1800's Metal Bands Beautiful Piece
Beautiful antique trunk. I had someone online look at pictures and he estimated it was from about 1890. The research I have done myself leads me to believe it was made between 1870-1890. It is made of wood and covered in leather. I believe that it's pine but I could be wrong. There are metal bands across the top and around the edges. Please see pictures this truck is old and has plenty of bumps and bruises. The leather handle straps are missing and there are several patches of leather missing on the top and front. There is also a crack in the lid. It definitely needs some TLC but is still beautiful and has tons of rustic charm. There is paper lining the inside that is torn and has some spots. This would be a great trunk to restore exactly how you want or to leave as is and embrace its natural charm! It measures 28" long 17" ... moretall and 16" wide. Feel free to ask any questions. This leather trunk belonged to my husband's great grandfather. His initials were WMM. Which you can see on the end of each side of the trunk. His first name was Willis. He used the trunk in the Spanish American war and WWI. My husband does not want the trunk anymore so I am selling it. It the interior is lined with olive green canvas or linen. Which I imagine is 100% cotton or linen. As you can see, we still have the key. It measures 33" long. 13'wide and 8.5"tall. I will only sell items within the rules of eBay. Nice antique cowhide leather suitcase measuring 26" X 13" X 7.5" This piece is in pretty decent shape for its age with a great patina on the leather. Perfect designer piece. Or use it yourself as it is still completely functional. Leather is imprinted with some numbers and"Authentic Cowhide Guaranteed" pictured) All of the brass latches work great. And you can snap the lock in the middle shut and open it without a key(no key is included) Handle is in nice shape as well as the hinges for opening and closing. You are bidding on a Nice Antique Leather Bound/ Covered 1800's Travel Chest. This chest does need a little tender loving care. It retains an amazing paper label that reads(E.A.G. Roulstone- Manufacturer of Military& Fire Caps. Equipments, Trunks, Valises, Bags, c. No 7 Tremont St. Boston) This travel chest is a wooden box covered with leather and has metal band around the bottom of the top lid. The leather is embossed with a straight line and x design. There are what look like copper rivets along the steel band. There is a silver colored name plate on the top of this chest that reads Shillaber. The locking mechanism is quite unique and definitely antique and does come with the key. This little gem has had much use but is in very nice condition for its antique aging but is not perfect. So please don’t expect perfection or anywhere ... morenear that. The trunk measures 10 ¼ inches long x 6 ½ inches wide x 5 inches deep not counting the leather strap handle. It is in need of restoration but is a very old and unique item that would make a great antique display. Comes from an old estate barn. This antique leather stage coach trunk is believed to have made in the late 1800's. It is approximately 34.5'long 22' tall 19.5' deep. There are two packable'drawers' for lack of a better word that fit in the top of the trunk. These drawers are not attached and are removable. One of the side leather handles is missing as are the belts that secure the trunk lid. It has a lock on the front and the key is included. There are four wooden casters on the bottom that are operational. The seams and hardware are secured by metal rivets. The manufacturer is D.S. MARTIN& CO. S.F. The bottom of this truck is marked"Made in Italy" but I didn't find a maker's name on it. It's a 16.5" cube made of solid wood. The inside is nicely finished. Clean, and free of musty odors. The outside is covered with black leather, which is secured with brass studs. As shown in the pictures, the leather has several large tears. The edges are framed in brass. It is heavy, weighing approximately 30 pounds.

Rare Victorian Leather Covered Jenny Lind "Loaf-of-Bread" Doll Trunk
We came across this Rare Jenny Lind Loaf-of-Bread Doll Trunk a short while ago. Dates probably from 1850-1860. It is 11 1/2" long. 7 1/2" deep and 7 1/2" tall. Covered, except for the bottom in red leather with white painted embellishments, and of course the very obvious brass studding which is characteristic of Jenny Lind trunks. It still has the original lock, but unfortunately is missing the key. Inside there once was a tray/drawer insert. The compartment in the upper part of the trunk retains a small early lithograph of what appears to be a Chalet beside a lake. Possibly indicating a European origin, but not necessarily so since Jenny Lind, the Swedish Nightengale, would have toys such as this reflective of her home no matter where they were made. This trunk is relatively rare in that it retains its original leather covering. ... moreMost of those that come on the market have been stripped and refinished. Overall condition: The leather has darkened in many places. Possibly from some prior owners attempt to treat it with something it didn't like. The brass studs are all present, another unusual circumstance. The leather covering the rear hinges and the fold along that crease is cracked, and missing over one of the hinges. Internally, there is a stain of some kind oin the upper compartment. We believe the hpotos present an accurate picture.

Antique primitive 1800's black leather steamship trunk made by Hammond Short at his Saddle and Harness Maker Shop in Homer Village. New York. This traveling chest is adorned with patterned brass tacks. The interior maintains some of the original fabric on the top and sides. The train luggage trunk features a compartment in the lid accessible by removing a wooden peg. The leather on this carriage trunk has cracking but remains intact. The hinge. Lock, and lift flap are all in good working condition. Please see pictures. The stagecoach trunk measures 22 1/2" long x 15 1/2" wide x 14" high. Background: The first saddle and harness business in Homer(Village) NY was probably carried on by Andrew Burr, who began the enterprise prior to 1816, while he was yet engaged in the tannery business. For many years thereafter, he followed ... morethis trade very successfully. Eight or ten years later Mr. Burr formed a partnership with Hammond Short; they continued together for several years. Short continued the business several years after the dissolution of the firm, then moved his business into the newly erected Mechanics' Hall in 1833. 2 Tyming Threads Superbly made travel case by Frazni. Made in Italy. It is constructed from heavy weight leather, thick yet soft suede and accented with genuine brass hardware. Fully lined with interior pockets. It closes by way of a front flap and side"belt" straps with a twist lock closure Measurements: 17.5 x 13" x 10" Condition: It is pre-owned and in vintage condition.
