I'm surprised the logos have stayed in such good shape with the condition of the trunk both metal tags in great shape and the gold medallions inside also insides a little dirty needs a good cleaning but I was afraid to do anything to this valuable old trunk. Its 15 inches long. 10 1/2 inches wide not including the handle, its 5 1/2 inches tall, and there are 2 bottles& 2 Jars inside with Enameled Stainless Caps, a Stainless Toothbrush Holder, a Bakelite Hair Comb, and a Bakelite Handle Nail File& Tweezers- all held in their places with Dark Green Leather straps- all but the 2 on the bottom have snaps to allow for ease in removing the pieces, there is the 6 sided shaped mirror attached to the inside lid, the 2 elastic edged pockets on each ... moreside, and the 2 leather straps that hold the lid up straight when it is open. There is wear& small tears to the edges& corner tips on the outside of the case& to the leather handle, the leather across the back is cracked along the break line as happens with age& use on these older leather pieces, and there are some faint spots on the fabric lining inside, but overall its in pretty good shape for its age and complete with all its 7 Accessories which are also in great shape with no chips, cracks, or stains, and I found the 2 original keys inside one of the jars after I took all my pictures so you will be able to lock it up. Scarce and not your usual auto touring case. This one is very special with a very attractive lining and pockets. Clean, no odors, has been kept in a private home and has not been stored in an attic, garage or basement. Shipping shown is an estimate, and shipping will be less if you live on the West Coast. Click to view supersized image A very attractive and handsome antique automobile touring case. Sturdy embossed leather, with a fabulous lining. This is referred to as an automobile touring case or automobile touring trunk or luggage, and this one is one of the nicest I have seen. I have never seen one with a fancy lining, as even the Louis Vuitton touring cases have plain canvas liners or paper liners. The lining is a muted dusky lavender purple-gray cotton jacquard with a woven in pattern of floral bouquets! The case is wood, very sturdy ... moreyet not too heavy in weight, and is covered in an embossed leather made to resemble some exotic animal such as elephant, etc. The leather is very soft and smooth feeling, very attractive. Brass hardware works great, and the trunk closes tight and secure and has the original key. Brass feet on the back side(bottom) as this case was used standing on the side and placed on the automobile's running boards or side boards, or placed on the back of the car. Dates from circa 1910, give or take a few years. Possibly made by Cross leather company, as the leather exactly matches a Cross suitcase I have with a green silk moire lining, although this case has no makers marks I could find. The lining on this luggage is in great shape, and on the bottom of the case there are two working leather straps with brass buckles, to hold your items securely in place while traveling. The top of the case has two deep and full pockets. Measures 34" long and 15 1/2" wide and is 5 7/8" deep. all measurements taken on the outside of the case. This is a Louis Vuitton key marked 068751 London and Paris. From the early 1900s. My great-grandfather owned a moving and storage business in New York City. This is an item from his shop that has been sitting in my mother's house for over 30 years. I believe this key is to eight trunk but I'm not completely sure. Antique Brass Cast Iron Train Pullman Railroad Luggage Hat Rack
This Antique brass and cast iron train luggage rack is ready to mount and use. It is all complete and free of damage. the mesh and the 3 cross pieces are brass ant the 2 ends are cast iron and finished off with a copper flashing. Notice that the ends have the letters NSWR which stands for New South Wales Railway. Measures about 30" long and extend 14" out from the wall and weighs 9 pounds. I would date it to the 1890's. Great for storing hats, towels or for your Pullman blanlets.

The metal closures are all oxidized but working fine. The two clasps have a crown logo on them. The 4 base corner protectors are all metal. These burgundy red nesting suitcases will make wonderful additions to your Travel or Shipwreck Decor! Also. They would make a nice display with your antique books, dolls and toys. Only for display though. Lots of character, these art deco suitcases are very fragile. The insides are lined in old burgundy colored felt in pretty good shape. The outsides are severely moisture damaged, looking like they've been through a shipwreck. The brass rivets are rusty and may break off if bumped. The leather straps are very stiff but could be made more supple with oil. They do nest inside one another for storage. Antique Vintage Cowhide Doctor's Bag Sachel Plaid Lining Leather Suitcase Luggage This is a fabulous antique leather bag! Complete with a plaid fabric lining! The handles are leather as well and the tag on the pocket states that it is top grain cowhide with the Tanners Council of America Seal. This bag measures 18' X 9½' X 10' high. When opening you can adjust the bag to keep the top open while you are putting in or removing items. Great so that it doesn't keep partially closing. It has four brass feet and a large metal zipper which works easily. Great design in the leather. I've shown a close up. Very thick leather, not flimsy, could be why this bag has lasted so long. The inside is a plaid fabric lining in a lovely coffee with cream coloring. No holes or damage other than a few small spots of something which ... moreI have not attempted to remove. One ample pocket in the back. The handles are leather and function as they should. There is one spot that I have shown which could use gluing although still attached and holding. Not loose from the brass piece. Some small amount of wear to the edges as expected due to it's age. The latch does lock although no key was found with it. Vintage MADLER KOFFER Steamer Trunk German. Circa 1914 DESCRIPTION: A World War I era steamer trunk manufactured by a company that is considered to be the German Louis Vuitton when it comes to quality of workmanship. Moritz Madler Co. of Leipzig. Germany was the largest trunk maker in Germany and patented this trunk style with the narrow wood slats and canvas covered wood body. 39" x 22" x 18. Has the owner's initials, H.B.G. printed on the top. Exterior is varnished canvas with a great patina. Interior is white canvas, all intact. Four canvas straps have MADLER embroidered on them. Corners have brackets for an interior shelf(not present) CONDITION: Please see photographs. I actually salvaged this one last week from the side of the road. It had been rained on the night before. So there is some water staining of the interior ... morecanvas, and it has a slightly musty smell that has improved as it's aired out. It's completely dry now. Overall in sturdy shape, r etaining original varnished and painted surface. Framed with original bentwood supports. One leather handle is missing, the other is broken. Slight warp to front and a couple of tears to canvas that don't really take away from the appearance. Looks like someone tried to break into it at some point; the locks are not functional, but may be restorable. Looks like someone must have put on an additional lock(it doesn't show up on the original ads) and that's missing the bottom latch(I would just remove it, but that's up to the winning bidder. I have up for sale a beautiful Antique Railroad Luggage Cart. It is rusty but solid and can easily be sand blasted and painted. The planks are original hardwood. Are weathered and two are missing. They can easily be replaced. This is a fantastic restoration piece and would certainly make a beautiful industrial coffee table. Media console or Kitchen Island.
