Two smaller locking drawers are aligned over four larged drawers. Providing ample storage space. All the drawers are made with high quality dovetail construction. The entire piece is raised off of the ground by short tapered square legs sitting on brass and wood casters. Overall. This piece is in very good condition. There are some drip marks along the top edge of the mirror(from glue or wood finish, see picture) but no cracks or other damage. The wood has some wear associated with age, including chips and minor breakage to the veneers or inlay. See pictures. There is also a chip out of the left side finial and the right top drawer is missing its lock. The wood is cracked around the lock hole on the inside of the drawer. The wheels of the casters do no turn easily and probably need to be oiled. No other breaks or repairs. The dresser stands 70 1/4" tall and is 40" wide and 21" deep. Used. Measures about 48" x 19" 43" There is a stamp on the back of the piece in black- see pic. I cannot make it out. I can read what I believe is Lawrenceburg Warranted Manufactured. The other words. Especially the top and what appears to be state initials I am unable to read. This piece is very heavy. The wood appears to be walnut. It has been refinished- that I can tell. I believe it's a gorgeous piece! But that is my perception. I believe it is is from around the turn of the century. Someone told me 1850- 1860. But I do not believe so because of the black stamping on the back. There are 2 holes on the back of the piece on each side toward the top. My guess is for a mirror. But I could be wrong. Possibly the felt was put into it later after someone decided to use it for jewelery? The felt does not appear to be very old. The handle is hard plastic. 9.5" Deep along the sides. 17" wide across. 12" Tall. It has some water stains on top and a wood stain run down the back. No key ever owned by our family. It has a few light surface scuffs. Southern Chest Drawers Knox County Tennessee c 1810 Furniture Antique Hand Made
Selling a real piece of Southern folk art furniture from Knox County. Tennessee, c around 1800/ 1820. This is an example of the early rural cabinet maker's art. There are two small drawers side by side across the top above three larger single wide drawers. There is a handsome Chippendale style tall bracket base. The hand carved trim up and down the two sides is very Sheraton looking and executed by a man without a lathe in his cabinet shop. It has such PRESENCE! It also has the distinction of having THE WORST EVER PHOTOS WE HAVE USED IN AN EBAY LISTING IN 13 YEARS! If you are interested we will clear this off and take some better pictures. Antique English bow front regency chest of drawers with matched cross cut mahogany front. Pencil molding with turned mahogany pulls centered with etched mother of pearl inlay. The two over three dovetailed drawers rests on turned legs and a scalloped skirt. Dimensions are 47" in width, 20 1/4" in depth and 45" tall. This piece has a beautiful wood grain. An antique Chest of Drawers made from Flame Mahogany. Circa 1900. We are pleased to present this unusual circa 1900 American Chest of Drawers for your consideration. Made of gorgeous Flame Mahogany. The chest has one full width drawer at the top. Two half-width drawers on the left are paired with a large compartment on the right, possibly originally intended for a chamber pot. The drawer pulls appear to be replacements, although the pull for the compartment, plus lock and escutcheon appear to be original. The Chest of Drawers measures 30 inches high. 40-3/4 inches wide, and 20 inches deep. There is a piece of thick glass that has been added, covering the top of the Chest. Wheels have been added to the feet, making the Chest a bit easier to move around. Dovetail joints are found on the Drawers. Antique or Vintage Map Chest- 6 Drawers
This old map chest was left to me by a man I took care of for awhile before he passed away. I am scaling down and am selling some of my older pieces. The chest is wood- not sure what kind- maybe oak. It has six drawers. I do NOT know its age. But I do know many people can tell age of older furniture by looking at how it is constructed. I tried to use pictures that will show this. It is well made, I do know that. It has round feet that are flat on top and bottom- see picture. It is in super condition for its age and could be re-stained or varnished. I used it as it is because I don't mind the older look. Measures 24" wide by 17.5" deep and about 27" tall. I know the old map chests are extremely collectible so I thought perhaps someone might like this one. Being handmade there are a few slight gaps in the wood so the drawers are slightly loose, there is a slight gap between the top drawer and the top of the chest. This is a handmade carpenters tool chest. It would be an amazing coffee table, porch item, foot of the bed chest, side table etc. Oh the possibilities are as big as it is huge! Unfortunately I don't have an exact age on this chest. However I can tell you it was found in a peg& beam barn in Knox County Ohio that was on its last leg. The heft makes me think of Empire or Gothic furniture, and the look and the knobs seem American to me. So my guess would be mid 1800s, maybe 1840-1870-but what do I know? You decide for yourself, and ignore my misleading guesses. All the drawer pulls match and there is a key for the biggest drawer. Condition: You will see normal wear and tear-light scratches and stains-and there is a small crack on the top. I see nothing major or unexpected for a piece this size and age. You'll love it! This nicely made 1860s-80s ash wood chest of drawers measures 12 ¼” tall x 13 1/8” x 7 ¼” deep and appears to have original. Untouched varnished surface overall. The top and each drawer are framed by red striping with sprays of flowers hand painted in the middle. Each drawer has sweet turned walnut knobs and all appear to be original. The sides have extra nice cuts and the back is of thin sawn pine. Construction overall is butt wire nail with glue and there are scattered old nail and glue repairs. This is an original blanket chest from the Amish country of Berks County Pennsylvania. I got it from an old man who was breaking up his home and down sizing. He said it belonged to his grandmother and he was in his 70's. It is in great condition with crackle paint. Quarter round around the lid. The lid hinges are perfect, the drawers tight and clean. It is 41 inches tall. 20 inches wide, 43 inches long. The drawers are 6 3/4" tall and 8" tall by 17" wide by 39" long. The blanket space is 15" deep, 17" wide and 39" long.

Measurements: height 11 inches. Depth is 7 inches and side to side 12 1/2 inches Has 5 drawers including the two smaller on top. Has a neat patina from age. Some spotting. Which adds to the cool patina. Small piece missing from a drawer and handle is missing on bottom drawer. Some scratching, etc. Has a great look for decorating. The surface of this fine commode is a vivid display of flowers and foliage on intermingling vines over a parquetry background. The mounts on either corner are heavily acanthus in nature, rather bold and conforming appropriately with the Rococo naturalism of the pulls and central apron motif. The sabots are typical for the style, very nicely cast and of appropriate substance for the size of the case. The castings are of medium fine detail, ranking above most peers of it's period in terms of chasing and filing of details. In my opinion a fine example of late 19thc hand painted Oriental. Black lacquer ware over wood, Chinese, table cabinet, chest of drawers. The item is in good general order; age associated wear and tear. Few scuffs and minor loss to the lacquer, as shown, missing one handle: see picture. Combined postage offered. Height at 6.5 inches. Width is at 6.5 inches, with a depth of 3 inches. Part of my own miniature and silhouette collections. I will happily ship to China but only with the tracked air shipping option quoted.
