Vintage Antique Victorian Brown Bird Cage Heart Design Wire and Wood
For auction is a vintage/antique brown bird cage with a working door that latches. I do not know it's exact age. It is made of wire that is shaped in the design of hearts; the rest is wood or wood composite and the base is wood composite. It is app. 25 in. in height and a little over 37 in. in diameter for the top round wire part of the cage. Condition: The bird cage is weathered from its age with some chips on the wood composite that can be seen in the pics. and it's a bit dusty. I would be happy to email/post more pictures.

I have for sale this lovely old painted brass vertical letterbox cover- probably Victorian/ Arts and Crafts/ Edwardian. It is currently painted black. But the paint will come off with paint stripper. It still has fixing screws attached. The metal spring which keeps it closed has unfortuately snapped. But looks easy to replace/ repair. As is typical of the age. It is quite small- the opening measures 6.5 inches x 1 inch. The overall measurements are 7.5 inches x 2.5 inches. The fixing bolts are 2 inches long. A lovely decorative piece. Own a piece of Minnesota History! This is a Clay Brick that was made in New Ulm. South Central) Minnesota. This brick was made at the only brick yard that was in New Ulm in 1880. This brickyard was located southeast of the city above the Cottonwood River. On the Minnesota Brick website, there is good documentation of the 11 Brickmakers of this town in the 1880's. This brick is in Excellent shape for its age. One of the bricks sides is a square 90 degrees, and the other is a bit angled. This brick measures 8 1/4" x 3 3/8" x 2 1/4" high and weights almost 3 1/2 pounds. As seen in the Photo's made into the brick mold was the towns name of New Ulm. What a special piece! You'll likely never see another! This is a commercial coal chute manhole type cover and ring. I bought this year's ago from a gentleman who demolished many old buildings downtown to make way for the failed Autoworld amusement park. This is a nice large heavy piece. The ring on the cover lid is damaged but it's not distracting to the piece at all. One small hole in lid see pic is not damage. But just natural casting porosity. This thing is beautiful! I wanted to build a brick ring and top it with this for display in my yard, but unfortunately living in Flint, it wouldn't be long before some dink stole it for a couple of dollars in scrap metal. These are very rare and not often available.

Chimney 100 ft. antique vintage red brick architectural salvage 1 million bricks
Want to own a 100 foot tall red brick chimney from the 1860's? Built during the civil war for the increased production at this New England Thread Mill. The Gardiner Hall Jr. Company Thread Manufacturing Co. Was built so high because the entire mill was originally wood fired for the steam processing and they needed good draft to keep the wood burning. Water power from the lake above provided the mechanical power to turn the looms,etc. I don't really know but guess there are close to 1.000,000 bricks in it. It is about 14' wide at the base where the walls are 2' thick and tapers to 6' at the top where it is about 16" thick. There is also a trash burning area at the bottom that you can somewhat see in the photos which has a steel door access which goes with the chimney. There is a copper cabled lighting rod protection ... moresystem in place that goes with it as well. Take it away and rebuild it at your place or sell the bricks or buy the whole thread mill building from me. You're responsible for all labor. Material, etc. required to dismantle this chimney and must a have a liability insurance policy naming me additional insured before work can begin. $10.000 for it all comes out to one penny per brick! We have just acquired another group of antique iron window gates to list on eBay. Our previous buyers have used them for garden art. Wall art, headboards, pot racks, and of course, window gates. We are pleased to offer the gates to use wherever your imagination takes you. You are invited to make a reasonable offer on an old wrought iron window gate. MEASUREMENTS: 24" Wide 22" High Overall This gate was used to protect the cellar window on an early 1900's home in Philadelphia. There is a scrollwork crest across the top with a ball topped finial in the center. There are 5 vertical bars. There is plain scrollwork throughout. There is a hasp at one end. The window gate is in very good condition overall. There is chippy paint. Surface rust, dings commensurate with age and use. Really unique antique wrought iron bars for mounting on the wall. There are holes in the appropriate places. Could be used as towel bars or pot racks if used with hooks in the kitchen. I was going to be using them outside in the garden as planter hangers but alas I am selling a lot of my treasures. The two larger ones are the same size and measure 25 inches long by 8 inches high by 3 1/4 in. Deep. Smaller one measures the same but shorter in length at 21 in.
