AN ANTIQUE/VINTAGE FRENCH BRASS SHOWER COLLAR OR WAND
A rather interesting and unusual antique/vintage French shower collar or wand. Marked: Le Collier-Douche Mantelet& Fils Paris' Circa 1900. It's oval in shape and has perforations on one side only. It passes easily over the head and was/is designed to be placed around the shoulders to keep the hair dry. Quite fun and I think it would be hard to find another one. This is the sort of thing you never thought you'd need or want until you see it. And beats wearing a shower cap! It measures approx; The collar or wand is 11.5 x 9.5 inches- 29 x 24 cms. The length of the straight bit is 3 inches- 7.5 cms. The total length( including the fitting) is 5.5 inches- 14.4 cms The circumference of the collar is 1.5 inches- 4 cms. Old Antique Vintage Farm Grain Silo Conveyer Belt with 3 Scoop Metal Buckets
This is from an 100+ year old farm near where I live in Oregon. The last picture shows the 2 large wooden pulleys that were used to move these conveyor belt mounted"scoops" from the floor of the barn to a feed silo. The scoops would fill at the bottom and when they reached the top pulley they would flip for the ride down. Emptying the grain into the silo. The farm has fallen into disrepair, the equipment has sat idle for decades. I aquired the pulleys and the belt. But not before someone cut the belt into pieces, 3 scoops each. I plan on recreating the belt system here in my home, as decor. I am not going to use all the pieces, so I am offering a few here on Ebay. I do see another seller offering them as well. I will ask a considerably lower opening bid on mine. Your welcome. This conveyor was fabricated by the farmer. The scoops ... moredo not all match. May differ in sizes slightly, and may not be perfectly spaced. It was meant for work, not decoration. So, that aside, the piece being offered here is about 29 inches long, just shy of 8 inches wide. ANTIQUE VINTAGE RARE COPPER LAWN SPRINKLER ROTATES AND SHOOTS UPWARD
Antique Vintage rare copper lawn sprinkler. Has copper circle with fish design and marbles inlaid on fish, water shoots from the top and also side to spin sprinkler in a clockwise direction. No makers mark can be found but due to the cast iron base i figure its an antiques. The base has flower design in the cast iron. Measures 20" tall and the copper circle is 11" diameter, the base is 9" in diameter. I have never seen any like this one except hand made and they never have a base like this one. 7 Sections of ANTIQUE WROUGHT IRON FENCE each 5 feet long with FINIALS Vintage
I have for auction a beautiful section of antique wrought iron fence. This fence came from a cemetery the person I purchased it from also said it is approx 120 years old. It has 7 sections of fencing that are each approx 5 ft long by 3 ft 4 1/2 inches tall from the ground to the top of the finial. We looked at the fence and there are enough brackets to connect this section of fence together with it ending with one section having an extra bracket and the other end will not. You will need to add your own bolts and nuts to connect them. They are topped off with neat old finials each measures approx 4" I have numbered each section so I can describe each one individually and I will try my best to describe it so you know exactly what you are buying. 1= has 8 top and bottom finials and every thing looks straight#2= has 8 top and bottom finials ... moreand it looks straight it has the one end piece is loose and has the top bolt but the bottom 2 are missing#3= has 8 top and bottom finials and the 2nd top finial has a bend to it approx 1/2" off center. This one is a little rustier than the other ones. 4= has 8 top and bottom finials and the 3rd finial on the bottom has the top part broken off/ missing#5= has 9 top and 8 bottom finials and there are 2 finials with their tops broken off/ missing on this section#6= has 7 tops and 8 bottom finials and everything looks straight#7= has 9 top and 8 bottom finials there is 1 finial bent on the top row(next to the sticker) it is bent approx 3/4- 1" and the one bottom leg is bent some as well This is for local pick up only. Twenty-Eight 28 Antique Advertising Paving Brick 1900 Vintage 4 Different Rare
Here is a grouping of very old commerical street paving bricks that date from around 1900. There are twenty-eight(28) bricks in all. The bricks were all made in Northeast Ohio by 4 different extinct brickyards doing business from the 1800's to about 1930. This type of paving brick. All featuring advertising, date from the 1900-1920 era. The brick companies represented are: Bula Block Company. Ashtabula, Ohio; Bessemer Youngstown Block, Youngstown, Ohio; Collinwood Block Company, Cleveland, Ohio; and, Metropolitan Block Company, Canton, Ohio. There are two types of blocks from Metropolitan. Of the 28 bricks. 13 are Bessemer, 6 from Metropolitan. 8 from Ashtabula. And 1 Collinwood. Laying brick to brick. They cover an area of 27" x 20" Or approximately 5.435 square feet. These bricks were all made from fired red Ohio clay. They ... moreare not the paving brick you see today! Today's bricks are often made of concrete. Not clay, and they are"wimps" compared to early 20th Century Bricks. Each brick is the standard paving brick size of their time: 9" x 3 1/2" x 4" thick. Or 126 cubic inches. They weigh 12 1/2" each! also the standard for the time. All together. This lot of bricks weighs 350 pounds! They give you a work-out when manipulating them on a project. But when installed, they reward you with the best looking patio, drive, or sidewalk you will find. These bricks are also very collectible. The brickyards represented made millions of such bricks that once lined the streets of Northeast Ohio. But today are difficult to find, even here, especially in this conditon. Advertising bricks of this era are also very collectible today, selling for $5.00-$10.00 or more each on ebay all the time. About half of these bricks were never installed, the others may have been used on streets, but are in good shape for what they've been through. Some have spots of tar on them. Very rare and completely intact 1920's Novalux floodlighting projector/spotlight salvaged from roaring 20's Memorial Auditorium.This exterior fixture retains the deeply textured glass convex lens free from damage.The interior reflector is cracked but is original and still functional.Lamp socket is also original. There is some rust on the base but no attempts to clean or restore have been made in an effort to retain its value.
