Absolutely beautiful. This little chair is beautifully carved. Hand tacked, beautiful upholstery, just gorgeous! 17.5" tall. The seat is 9" wide in front, 7" wide in back. 10" high to the seat. It is in pristine original condition. I believe the wood is mahogany. This is a nice decorative piece. I wouldn't actually use it for children to sit on. Antique Vintage Wooden Rocking Chair Childs Childrens Sewing Needlepoint bent
The auction is for an antique rocking chair. It has great patina to it. The seat is a blue needlepoint and it has a nice woven backrest. In terms of age I would say somewhere around the turn of the century but I am not certain on that. It looks as though the needlepoint cover may have been added at a later date. It looks to be either a child's chair or a sewing chair. The dimensions are tallest point approx. 29 inches. Seat height 10 inches, seat itself 12.5 inches by 13.5. The chair is not perfect but it is in very nice shape for its age. There is a couple of screws that appear to have been replaced over the year and the seat needlepoint shows a little browning from age. Check out the photos and feel free to ask any questions. Up for sale today. I am offering a gorgeous antique wood carved chair. This is a very unique piece. Not only does it have beautiful ornate carvings throughout, there is a carving of a small girl on the top center of the chair. Her eyes have been outlined in gold, she is very haunting. Right not the back and seat are upholstered in red fabric, but one may desire to re-do the upholstery because it is not even. This chair was repainted a few years ago with a very dark brown finish. If you look closely you can see gold undertones. This chair is very old, it's been in my family for as long as I can remember. Antique Thumb Back Plank Bottom Chair. This sturdy chair is a warm colored wood. I am not sure what kind of wood it might be. It doesn't look like pine nor does it look like our southern oak. It could possibly be cherry or chestnut. It appears to be hand made and mortise and tenon construction. The tapered spindles were expertly fashioned. It is 33-1/2"tall. The seat is 15"wide and 15" deep. It would be great as a decorative piece but is sturdy enough for use.

The chair seat swivels and the chair rolls around on casters. 16" wide x 19" deep x 35-1/2" high overall with a 19" seat height as you see it in the pictures. Looking underneath I can see that you can lower it down about 1-1/2" and you have about 6" total screw extending down below the spinning disk. You should be able to raise it 2 or 3 inches anyway. Seat height would then range between about 17-1/2 and maybe 22" You merely turn the disk to change the seat height. I lowered the seat to the minimum for shipment. The seat back has a black material tacked into place on the sides. I think it's old leather. But for all I know, it could be something else. Please look at the pictures and judge for yourself. Beautiful. I found a few issues which I think are not very noticable. There was a crack in the top of the upright back support timber that I had to glue(the crack extending below the slot was not glued) One nut securing that support was replaced with a more modern one at some point, there is a split in the wood surface on the back of the

2 Antique Vintage Seats From French Cinema 1940s Theater Chairs Auditorium Red These 1940/50s cinema seats were in a cinema in Issoire(in France) until 1970 when they were used in a non-smoking meeting hall until recently. They have been very well preserved and maintained. There are only this row of 2 seats still available. Which consists of 3 side panels( arm rests) 2 backs, and 2 seats. They easily dismantle for transport. Then easily re-assemble: Stand up two side panels and between them fix a seat slotting it into the slots for the seat on each panel. Fix a back in the same way. Slotting it into the slots for the back. Stand up the third side panel. And between it and the second side panel fix in a seat and back exactly the same as you did for the first seat. In this way the second side panel has a seat and back attached to it on both ... moresides. For stability the 3 side panels now need to be attached to the floor. The seats and the backs are made from wood and foam and covered in leather look material. And the side panels are made from steel. They are very comfortable. And in excellent condition- perfect for a home cinema! Antique Cane Back Cloth Seat Rocking Chair
Very interesting old rocking chair. The octagon pattern woven back is in great shape and the cloth seat really gives it character. It appears to be made of cherry wood but I can't be 100% sure but a beautiful dark wood regardless. Pressed into the top is a beautiful rose and leaf pattern. The cloth seat is in good condition and held in place by a pretty ribbon material that is also in good shape. The seats on the chairs are stuffed and typically have some shifting or rolling of the padding but this one is well rounded and has held its original shape. Some of the thin material on the bottom has come loose but could easily be tacked into place. There is some splintering on the bottom of the front edge of the seat but not enough to compromise the integrity of the seat. A beautiful addition to a country decor. Antique Eastlake Style Platform Rocker Rocking Chair
Charles Eastlake furniture was the brainchild of Charles Eastlake(1836-1906) A British furniture designer and architect. Eastlake style' as it is referred, is the common name for his style of furniture, which became widespread throughout the last half of the nineteenth century. This is an absolutely gorgeous platform rocker! Made of oak it also has burl oak inserts incorporated into the top of the back. The cloth seat and back are a tapestry style gold, green and pink oval design that really captures the era in which it was made. The seat and seat back have no balling of the cushions which you normally see on furniture of this age. The carvings on the back, arms, support and platform are exquisite. ANTIQUE VICTORIAN GOTHIC REVIVAL THRONE PARLOR NEEDLEPOINT ASIAN INFLUENCE CHAIR
VICTORIAN GOTHIC REVIVAL ANTIQUE LADIES CHAIR HAND CARVED GORGEOUS! Hand made nails used Golden colored with floral needlepoint Thick padded back& seat Oriental/gothic influenced hand carved wood Front casters are original This is a very unique style and I haven't been able to find anything like it. All of the nails(including the very large one with the square nut pictured in photo#9) have all handmade heads. Has a black finish which appears to be the original finish. Has these unique finger hooks on the top in the back(see photo#4) Your fingers fit perfectly under them so that you can lift the back and roll it on the front casters. This piece is in really good shape for its age. The wood has finish rubbed off in spots throughout and the chair may need some slight tightening. But tight for the most part and certainly sturdy enough ... moreto use. In photo#3, you can see a small, round, clear spot on the seat. Please see the photos for more details as the photos act as part of the description as well. In photo#9, there is a large bolt head showing in the back of the chair by the seat and the end& nut show on the bottom.it's not like that on the other side. It appears to be hand planed and DEFINITELY hand carved. The black fabric on the bottom is newer and without removing it. I'm not sure what's underneath, but in pulling the sides back a bit, all of the nails are hand made& old. Other than the staples holding on that back fabric, all of the hardware is 19th century. I believe that it had been reupholstered at some point due to original nail holes around the current edges of the fabric. It sounds like it is filled with some straw and under the black bottom fabric, there is what looks like a potato sack type of material. So, I'm thinking that if it were reupholstered, it was done a long time ago. There are nicks and paint missing throughout from use. The overall presence of this piece in the room is just awesome. I can certainly imagine see this in a fine ladies parlor. The casters are brass

The seat is just sitting on the frame. It is not attached. You can very easily see that the this piece is hand carved. Hand made nails are used. However. We are not furniture experts, so I'm not sure if this is a very well done Chippendale reproduction or not.
