Greetings. This chair was an estate sale find by my father. Who believes that it is French in design. I sent images to an auctioneer who estimated the age to be late 18th century or early 19th century. One of the feet(back leg, visible in second photo) is slightly damaged, missing its"claw" Other than that, the piece appears in good condition. Please ask any questions prior to bidding. This Beautiful Rare French Sedan Chair is covered inside and out in the original lovely silk and velvet brocade fabric with gilt metallic borders. It has three bevel edge glass windows and the door has the original brass working handle. Inside there are two removable glass shelves. The wood bearer poles are 13 inches long. Removable and covered in silk brocade.
