Old Vintage Glass Door Knobs This is a set of 2- or 4 doorknobs together. They're in good. Vintage condition. They are both on their"stems" One set has the door plates attatched. They are both glass. But in different patterns. The first is smooth round glass. With an inside pattern. One doorknob has silver colored hardware and a little locking lever, and the other has brass colored hardware. This is a pretty design and in good shape. The second set is in a 12 point star type of pattern. These don't have the door plates. Just the"stem" These have some paint on them- a little on the glass, but mostly on the hardware. These pieces are about 5" long. And each doorknob is about 2" in diameter. The metal knob has a nice design on it, lots of swirls. There is paint on the underside of this knob, and also on the hardware of the white knob. The other set is pretty rusty metal. The 2" diameter glass knobs are very good with no chips or cracks. The brass on the knobs have the old patina and will need polished if you want them shiny. The locks are in good working condition and have a dead bolt. 4 lock sets have the square shank key with 1 3/8" diameter key hole covers. 1 lock set has the key hole cover. But no key, and 1 lock set doesn't have a key hole cover or a key. The 2 1/4" diameter fibre rosettes that fit behind the knobs are in good condition with no breaks. But a couple of the rosettes do have a few chips where the knob seats. The plate on the lock measures 7/8" by 3 3/4" and 3/1/8" between screw holes. This auction features a group of 3 different scale weights. There is a large set. Ohaus, consisting of 14 different brass weights, the largest being 2000grams. There is a smaller set, unmarked, with 13 brass weights and the largest is 20grams. There are a total of 13 brass weights, and about the same number of much lighter silver colored weights. Finally, there is a set by Fisher that has a total of 9 weights, with the heaviest being 100 grams. None of these sets are entirely complete so we are selling all three together.

Three different antique mortar and pestles. These beautiful brass antiques were purchased in an estate sale from a collector of antique medical and scientific equipment- please see my other items for other antique scientific and medical equipment from the estate. These three mortar and pestles are medium-to-large. The tallest is 4 inches tall by about 4 inches wide and comes with a wooden pestle. The next size down is about 3.5 inches by 3.5 inches and comes with a wooden pestle. The last is also a little under 3 inches by 3 inches and has a brass pestle. The items are great antiques and a nice lot for any collector. I could not find any marks that identify a specific age or country of origin. This auction is for a Lovely Pair of Antique Flow Blue Porcelain Cup and Saucer Sets made by STW& Co. of England in 1889. They are Beautifully designed with Classic London Shaped Victorian handles and decorated in a Flow Blue Chinoiserie Floral motif. They have backstamps with the British Registration Number 135869. Which dates the pieces to 1889. They are in good condition. Especially for that age. There are no chips in any of the pieces. One cup has a faint hairline that is hard to spot near the base(see last photo) The other cup is slightly toned. Both cups and the one saucer have age appropriate loss of gold accents to the edge. The other saucer shows no signs of gold accents at all so I am not certain if it ever had any. However. The patterns are clearly the same on all four pieces. 6 Full Sets Antique Arabic Pattern Door Knobs & Back Plates Mallory & Wheeler MW
Up for auction is a large collection of Mallory and Wheeler doorknobs and backplates in the Arabic pattern. There are enough sets for six doors! Backplates measure about 6 3/4" x 1 3/4"and are marked M.W. Co on back. The knobs measure about 2 1/8" in diameter. With domed.or raised front. Not sure if these are brass or bronze, but they all have patina and some oxidation. There are six spindles for the knobs, but you'll need to get 11 set screws, as there is only one there. These can be found through many hardware sources; the one left will allow you to verify length, diameter and screw thread count. There is one knob, seen in fourth photo, that has a shorter part attached to back where the spindle goes in. Looking closely, this appears like it may have come from the factory that way, I'm not sure- remember, factories ... moreweren't all computer perfect back in the 1800s. But this part is hidden within the backplate's protruding circular part. There is one extra backplate missing that protruding part that I'm including with this set, which you can find some fun innovative use for in the home. So there are"twelve plus" backplates. ANTIQUE / VINTAGE c.1912 7 SETS PASSAGE DOOR KNOBS, SHAFTS and BACKPLATES
Here we have a very nice lot of seven complete sets of antique c.1912. Door knobs, shaft and back plates including one with a privacy thumb turn mechanism. I believe these are called"Copper and Smoke" design. They are steel with copper plating. The back plates are rectangle, approx. 2" by 6 1/2" with the copper and smoke finish through out. One of the back plates is slightly smaller and one does not have the copper finish, I think these were in closets. One of the plates has the privacy thumb turn mechanism installed in the key hole, this came out of the bathroom. The inner portion of the knobs is cast steel while the outer part is pressed. The knobs are approx. 2 1/4" in diameter and 1 1/8" deep. The face of the knobs match the design on the back plates. The shaft is approx. 4" long and 7/32" square ... morewith threaded adjustment holes on each end. All parts are original, including the set screws. It is an attractive set. Now. You may be thinking, how does he know these are c.1912? If you notice the last pic of the group. This is our house and it is documented to have been built in 1912. This hardware has come from our house. Due to the restorations we are doing to upgrade the home, unfortunately we are not able to re-use some of the original hardware. We are hoping that it will find its way to another heritage home and again be useful for another 100 years. As for condition. This set has been used on a daily basis for many years and are just as they have come off the doors. They have come from the upper floor bedrooms and bathroom of our house. The set has no dents, bends, or repairs. They are unpainted, clean and smooth with no surface rust tarnish or corrosion. The copper and smoke finish is in very good condition, however some do show a little more ware than others, especially on some of the knobs but this is to be expected on a set that has been used daily. ANTIQUE ART DECO DAMASK PINCH PLEAT LINED DRAPERY PANELS 4 SETS BLUE 75.5"x22.5"
This auction is for a total of four(4) sets = 8 panels of antique Art Deco silken damask pinch-pleated drapery panels. It is for eight separate panels. I have had these for at least thirty years myself. In which I never even used them. They were acquired at an old flea market and have just been folded and stored away. Each panel has three pinch pleats, however, rather than use hooks, it has a backing strip attached to the lining so that it can be placed onto a rod. These have been hand-stitched. In measuring one of the panels at the very end, it is smaller in width than the remaining strip, hence, it would have an opening of about 1 1/4" The majority of the strips are about 1.5" in width;some areas about 1/4" more. If one inserts a cyclindrical-shaped rod, this would not be a problem. There are also some areas of the strip ... morewhich may have to be re-stitched due to the threads becoming undone. This is not a major issue. Of course, one can actually hang these as they wish and use whatever size strip/type of rod. One can even remove the entire piece and use pleat hooks. These are in wonderful condition and are lined with an ivory cotton sateen. The fabric has a lovely shimmering quality, is of rayon fiber content and is very striking in appearance. Its shade is much richer than photos depict. In my opinion, it is in a rich shade of teal blue. Its ground texture has a slight ribbing in its weave and the shimmering silken threaded pattern throughout gives it dimension. The fabric is not chintzy or flimsy;it is of substantial weight and is a quality textile. It is not too often that one can find this many sets as well as being in wonderful condition. They are literally like new. There are no rips. Tears, stains, discoloration marks, pulls, brittleness or deterioration. It should just be noted that the major difference is that they are not wide width panels and pretty much hang straight down due to the pinch pleats already in place, i.e. you cannot stretch them out or rearrange them;they are as is because o

Offered are 7 thumb latch door handles. I have had these for about 40 years thinking I would use them. I know this is a man's thing& I don't know a whole lot about them other than I've always liked them. I was going to list them separately but I couldn't remember what latch went to what handle. One latch is not here. There is light surface rust but I know they will clean up nicely. 3 of the handles are the same. I'm not positive but I think their Norfolk style. Wrought iron, American latch circa 1800-1820. 8 3/4" high, 1 1/2" wide. The one with the pewter handle is Norfolk style, 7 3/4" high, 1 1/4" wide, early 19th century, a piece of the pewter is gone, it looks like it happened long ago. One is Norfolk style from 2nd quarter of 19th century with unusual feathered decorative feature in center ... moreof handle, 7 1/4" high, 1 3/4" wide. I have seen this one sell for $110.00. this is a lot of 3 antique/vintage german drafting tool sets. All owned by a maine navel officer. The first set with the violet interior is by Dietzgen, Germany and the case says Dietzgen construction. This set is complete. I did note some rust on 3 of the tools as indicated in the photo but I believe these will polish up beautifully. The 5th photo shows the case closed. These belonged to an interior designer based in San Francisco and I believe the sheets were her mother's. These were found very carefully folded and stored in plastic bags. So they were highly prized. Some of the most elaborate monogramming I have ever seen. Unique hand embroidered monogram. Great quality and extermely soft to the touch. Edges are hand embroidered. Heavy weighted pink cotton or linen. Possibly French? These show browning from storage. But this should all come out with a gentle soak. There is one spot on one sheet that appears to have a slight clorox stain. The sheets appears to have been used very little due to the condition. The plates and the cups are beautifully hand-painted all throughout using blue. Red, and gold. Underneath they are marked with blue calligraphy: DAMING CHENGHUA. The cups of these 3set are all perfect. But all the plates have a little chip on the edge(picture 11, yellow narrow point) They are thin and carefully made. If you put it on a lamp. You will see the view just like in picture Notice that the border decoration close to the edge includes mountains. Buildings, and clouds. The arabesque of the back border is accentuated by three birds, which replace more standard plum flowers; this is somewhat unusual. The six-character seika mark is carefully drawn.
