I am pleased to offer a beautiful set of six antique salts. Salt dishes made by O& E.G. Royal Austria. These salts are absolutely stunning with the interior finish being a pearlized iridescent and a white outside with gold around the scalloped rim of the salts. Based upon the marking on the back of these salts. They were made between 1898 and 1918. The marking on the back of the salts was used by Oscar& Edgar futherz of Altrolau, Bohemia(now Czech Republic) from 1898 to 1918. The company made some of the finest porcelain and exported both decorated& undecorated pieces. In 1918, the company became part of OEPIAG, the Austrian Porcelain Industry and used a different marking. All of these salts are in excellent condition. Lot of silver plated and silver dishes,butter and serving dishes,salt and pepper
Lot of silver plated and silver dishes. Butter dish, serving trays, bowls, salt and pepper shaker and more. I found these in a box. I have removed some of the tarnish as you can see from the photos. These pieces will clean up very nice. I do not know how much real silver is here verses silver plated. I see the name Rogers on the bottom of one and silver plated on the bottom of 2 pieces. I did try a magnet as I was told that real silver would not attach to a magnet and found that only one piece, the butter dish attached to the magnet. Also the salt and pepper shakers have 552 on the bottom of both pieces.

Shell-form bowls and each stands on three dolphin feet(1 to the front and 2 to the back) They have been made from a very high gauge of sterling silver and are lightly gilded(gold washed) Both pieces are clearly hallmarked for 1876 and have the maker’s mark of D.J& C. Houle(partly visible) These pieces are in excellent condition with no dents or dints that I can find. Because the gilding is so light. Pattern is Fenton"Mille Fleurs" Chintz that has an all over floral design with a cream background and gold trim, and beautiful detailed ruffled scalloped edges. The shine, or glaze, is very sweet and really brings out the flower pattern. These are part of an estate. So they cannot be returned. We do not know the exact year of manufacture or purchase and it was tough to research to say for sure. These had only one owner who was married in 1941, so we think the items can be dated to the 1940s. Measurements: The Round Dish measures 8 inches across. And about 2 inches deep. Antique Covered Salt or Sauce Dishes, Rare China? Japan?
This is a pair of unusual covered tiny bowls; presumably either salt dishes or sauce dishes. Each is 1 1/2 inches wide and 3/4 inch tall. Each is entirely hand-painted. But without signatures. The condition of each bowl and lid is excellent. There are no chips, cracks, repairs or losses of paint. The gold accent around the lid has worn away a bit due to being handled in a normal fashion over the years. We believe they are from the early to mid-19th century, but cannot be certain if they are from China or Japan.

These have no makers names or marks. They are very well made and have the bottom ground and polished. They are in good condition with no chips or cracks but they do have wear on the gold. They are 2 1/2 inches tall and 2 1/4 inches across. They are guaranteed to be old and are not reproductions. Dresden produced a range of wares from plates and vases to figurines. But they all display the same Rococo influence. The effect is fussy. Pretty, delicate and feminine, with molded or painted decoration involving flowers, shells and scrolls. Salt Dishes" is one of those charming self-published books from that first Golden Era of American glass collecting, the 1930s. Whether they collected salts or goblets, the era's collectors were omnivorous completists, as must anyone be who would amass 1359 salts, and then take photographs of every single one of them. Two Vintage Belleek Shell Salt Dishes 5th mark aka 2nd Green Mark
These open salt dishes use 6 scallop shells with coral branches at the base: three shells on each side with squared ends and subtle dip between end shells. The base is an elongated hexagon. Both the interior of the dishes and the coral accents have the often sought iridescent yellow Cobb glaze(now discontinued) Both are in excellent condition. So close in shape that they nest within each other. They are each 3 1/8" long, 2 1/8" 2 1/4" across(one is 1/8" broader) 1" tall at top of shells. Versatile enough to use with Limpet, Neptune, New Shell, or Tridacna patterns. I am only asking for what I paid to purchase them and recoup my costs.
