These lantern are heavy weight 950 Sterling Silver. The craftsman ship is excellent. They have been stored for years in the original wood box and I do not believe they were ever used. Each stands 3 3/4" in height on a three footed base. They are marked Sterling 950. The top unscrews as pictured for filling. There is still a label attached to the box that reads OKUBO BROTHERS Tokyo. Japan. I believe these were probably brought back from Japan i after World War II. The pair weighs between 59 and 60 grams. They are both in excellent condition. I did not polish and will leave that to the new owner. They will polish up beautifully. Safely packed delivery will be FREE. This dog is cute if you are familiar with these item you know most appear to be cracked under the coating. this one looks that way there is a small chip on the front of the hind left leg that is brought to the front. The lady that sold it to me stated she belived it was pre 1950'ish so I will leave that one up to you. I know people love this kind of stuff on ebay so I decited to try to sell it. I will start off cheap with this one since it is a bit chipped not even bad at all. it does need to be cleaned. me and the hubbly decited it may be a beagle. Antique/vintage european salt or pepper shaker of a little girl wearing a golden suit wearing pants. Hat and pointy shoes holding a floral basket a very rare shaker. I was told it was made somewhere by the Alps mountains in Europe its from the 1940's by a antique dealer not sure but it definetly does have age. Shaker has a plastic plug on back. Its made of a weird material im not sure its plastic or thin wood. Its hand painted. In good condition has some wear, little color fading on red lips on face, little tiny scratches not much, needs cleaning but still in good shape for being this old. If your looking for a rare shaker this is the one for you very collectible.
