This form is variously known as a"rummer" or Rhine Wine Glass. This particular example is in unusual and brilliant Vaseline color. Neither green nor yellow but a little of both. With pleasure we are offering two Beautiful Stunning Antique Georgian Rummer/Wine Crystal Goblets. Hand assembled stunning quality. Each goblet has a drape pattern with detailed flowers finely cut along the wider top area of the bowl. The stems are a baluster style with a single knop and a single ring. The amazing quality of these goblets is the sound which they make, and how long the sound rings for, just handling them brings out a long resounding ring, truly unusual they sing to you. There is no damage on the glasses. American cut glass is generally divided into 3 periods. Early(1771 to 1830) Middle(1830 to 1880) And the Brilliant(1880 to 1910) or even to 1917) In that the glasses phosphorus lime green, they may be from the Early American Brilliant Period or as referenced by Swan"Circa 1740, manganese was used” The use of manganese ... morethat which was the first step in verifying a possible date. The first american cutters such as Hawks& Dofrflenger& Gillilanz& Niland were all had English Anglo Irish backgrounds and so there first(original) designs were all anglo Irish styling. Hawks& Dorflinger cut numerous stem patterns that were based upon or even exactly the same as the stems that flourished during the English Georgian period. Then we further researched the articles at Laurie Leigh Antiques whom shows numerous Georgian articles of which these glasses are similar in design and style. The two glass we have listed stand apart from our other American Brilliant period glass. The ring when pinged resounds for 10 to 15 seconds. Longer then our other pieces. Perhaps these are old Waterford C 1729 to 1851. Irish cut glass(Waterford in particular) reached its greatest fame from 1790 to 1825. The excise tax was imposed on Ireland in 1825, as in England, when less lead was used to save weight. Could the unusual length of the resounding ring verify that they are early Waterford, we do not know. In any case, since the articles are not signed we must leave the dating and final decision to the buyer. We use

Threaded glass on the foot and smooth pontil. The cuppa is open all the way down in the stem to the threaded foot. If it is authentic. It was probably made circa 1830 in Europe. I am not an expert. But it looks right to me. Measurements: approximately 6-3/4” tall x almost 2-1/2” at rim and 3-3/4” at base. Condition: Very Good. No chips. Cracks or repairs. Georgian 1800-1849 clear anglo Irish cut and fluted rummer/wine glass circa 1830
You are bidding on an antique Georgian. Anglo irish cut and fluted rummer or wine glass circa 1830-49. I have 6 of the Georgian wine goblets available, but you are bidding on ONE. The goblets are about 5" high and just under 2 1/2" across the top. They are in really good condition with no chips or cracks. The base appears to be the original scalloping and has not been reduced. There are one or two very tiny pin point size nicks on the top edge. They are very hard to see but I can feel them when I run my fingernail along to top. They do NOT detract in any way. The stem was blown and cut with a polished pontil on the base. Please ask any questions you may have before you bid. Virginia residents must pay sales tax.

Early 19th century. White Rhine wine glasses Roemer/ Rummer. They all have a hollow stem down to the foot. Three prunts on the outside of the stem. G lass thread on the feet. And a rough pontil mark. No chips or cracks to the cups and feet. No restorations, the glass threading on the feet have some minor imperfections. Approximately 4.50" tall. Bowl opening is 2.125" wide.

Pair of German/Dutch green rummer wine glasses in good/used shape.Pair were made about 1820 or so.The spiral threaded decorated bases both have minor faults-no other chips.Flaws are noted.
