10" Tall German Wine Glass Roemer Enameled Imperial Eagle Etched Initials 1898
Up for sale is a 10 1/8" tall German glass roemer with an enameled imperial eagle and etched initials with the date 1898 on the opposite side. The imperial eagle was used after the unification of Germany in 1871 after the Franco-Prussian War. I picked it up at a local estate sale. It is in excellent condition with no chips or cracks.

This gorgeous German Roemer Wine Glass w/Olive Green Stem& Etched Bowl as once owned by my in-laws and comes from their estate. They were avid collectors in the 70’s up until the time of their deaths and enjoyed collecting and displaying their treasures in a dust proof cabinet and took pride in their passion of collecting. Rare 19th Century Etched Roemer Rhine Wine Glasses from France, Set of 3
For auction is a set of 3 Roemer Rhine wine glasses from an estate in the Jura region of France. The family acquired them sometime in the mid to late 1800’s. They may actually be older. When France started making glasses like these. The combination of forest potash and sand that contained iron impurities gave them their green color and was referred to as Forest Glass. The early ones. Like these, were entirely green. Over time. Wine snobs insisted the bowl should be clear to show off the color of the wine inside. France had a strong influence in the design of these glasses. Especially in the Alsace region, which is just across the Rhine from Germany. They are meant for quaffing Riesling and Gewürtztraminer. All of the current descriptions I’ve read on eBay say they are made of blown glass. But I would bet these are crystal(the bowl, not ... morethe stem) because they give a lovely ring when you tap them. But I’m not a glass expert. Speaking of lovely: The photos don’t do justice to the green color of this set. It’s quite rich without being too dark. There’s also a delicate floral design etched around the bowl. Each glass is 5-1/8 th inches tall. The bowls are 2 inches in diameter(as measured across the rim) their bases are 2.75” in diameter. Condition: Two of the glasses are in superb condition. Which is amazing considering their age. The third glass has the tiniest of little flaws: there’s a speck of a rough spot along the rim. I had to take over a dozen photographs with my Nikon D40 in order to capture it(see last photo) Okay. As the Baron de Rothschild once said” Taisez-vous et buvez! Shut up and drink! Czech or German art glass hock wine stems Hollow Ribbed green uranium glass stems that glow brightly with black light! Bowls do not glow) The blown glass bowls have optic panels and are decorated with 3 raised bunches of grapes and three single leaves spaced around with little squiggles of flat gold to represent the tendrils of the grape vine. Measure app 2-1/4" across the rim. These are 5 ounce capacity to the rim. Serving is app 3 ounces. The green concentric graduated ribbed stems are hollow and app 3" across the base. The raised gold grapes and grape leaf repeat three times around each bowl. The gold has been applied over ... morea base of creamy white enamel. T here are no chips. Nicks, cracks, or repairs. For your consideration is a SET of 11 Vintage Green Stemmed German Roemer Rheine Wine Goblets/Glasses with Grape and Vine Etching. These are beautiful vintage clear glass etched goblets with dark olive green bubble-style stems. Each measure approximately 4-5/8" tall by 2-1/2" wide rim to rim and they hold approximately 5 oz. They are etched with a lovely grape and grape vine design around the outsides and are all in clean and excellent condition. Please see pictures for a clearer understanding of condition. Early 19th century. White Rhine wine glasses Roemer/ Rummer. They all have a hollow stem down to the foot. Three prunts on the outside of the stem. G lass thread on the feet. And a rough pontil mark. No chips or cracks to the cups and feet. No restorations, the glass threading on the feet have some minor imperfections. Approximately 4.50" tall. Bowl opening is 2.125" wide.

Up for bid are a Set of 2 Antique German Moser Glass Roemer Wine Goblets. Heckert Era, Bohemian Style. Iridescent Gold/Light Ochre color. Late 19 th century. They have a hollow. Tubular ribbed stem with applied prunts. Unmarked. Both are in GOOD CONDITION with normal wear- one goblet has loss of luster…appears as a“sponge” dab mark on the widest point and some very small spots around the lip…due to age, not damage(see pictures) No chips, cracks or repairs. Offered in this sale is an antique peacock green blown glass Roemer style wine or liquor glass with applied rasberry prunts that I believe dates circa 1810. It has a fairly steep conical foot with applied trailing. The construction of this piece is interesting. The underside of the base where the pontil was and the prunts on the stem and threading on the foot appear to have been fire polished after they were applied. If you look closely at the images you will see how the applied prunts and the threading are"melded" and much smoother than on the other examples of the similarly constructed glasses in the collection. It measures roughly 5" tall x 1 7/8" in diameter across the top of the bowl x 2 5/8" across the base. Pair of matching early 19 century German roemer rummer wine glasses
Pair of German/Dutch green rummer wine glasses in good/used shape.Pair were made about 1820 or so.The spiral threaded decorated bases both have minor faults-no other chips.Flaws are noted.
