18th c Georgian English Blown Air Twist Wine Glass With Bell Bowl
You are bidding on a nice blown 18th c English air twist wine glass. It has a bell bowl and the stem consists of 8 threads twisted from the base of the bowl. It is lead glass. It stands about 6 5/8" tall. The bowl is about 2 15/16" across and the foot is about 3 1/16" across. It has a rough pontil. There is a small chip on the foot(see photos 8& 9) and a small scratch(see photo 10) on the outside base of the bowl. No other chips or repairs. Has some bubbles and seeds in the foot. They stem is a double serires air twist with blue& white and a metallic gold strip in the middle. They are very delicate and were well taken care of. They come from a wealthy Conn estate. Hand Blown Flint Glass Ale or Water Goblet, Trumpet Shape, Air Twist Stem
Offered is a spectacular blown glass ale or wine glass. It is very large. Measuring a bit over 8" tall. The trumpet shaped bowl has a diameter of 4 1/4" at the time and tapers into an elongated trumpet shape, then into a beautiful air twist stem. It is ringing flint glass of substantial weight(nearly a pound) and great clarity. Although pin-pointing the date of manufacturer is something I cannot do, I will guarantee it has considerable age. It came from an estate where I know it has been for at least 50 years. My guess is that it may be much earlier. It has an open or"snap" pontil(not polished)

This Beautiful Air Air Twist was made in England in 1750 and has a bell bowl with a multi-spiral Air Twist stem which has three knops. It measures a grand 7 3/4" x 2 1/2" rim with a foot of 2 3/4" a very rare glass and one one that would command a large price in perfect condition. unfortunately this glass has some damage, which can be seen in the photos! The foot has a couple of small nicks and a larger one as shown!measures about a 1/4" Tool mark on the bowl with air bubbles in the foot as well as the bowl. quite heavy. Here is a remarkable. Antique cut crystal goblet- the cranberry glass bowl engraved with floral sprigs, supported by a cranberry and white air-twist, paneled stem, and terminating in a slightly domed foot with swirling, white'threads' Height is 6 3/4" Underside of footrim has a thin line of natural wear. So this goblet is definitely vintage. Condition is close to excellent- there are a few small scratches to cranberry bowl; scratches to interior base of bowl and a few'nicks' to edges of paneled stem. These are minor flaws- this is a beautiful goblet!

Pair of Antique English Air Twist Toasting Glasses
I bought these at a very high end estate sale. I was told by the company selling them that they are not candle sticks as I thought but English toasting glasses. I did come home and do my own due diligence and what I found is that they are indeed matching that style to a T. One of them is a tiny bit smaller by measurement. They are both right at 10" tall with one them being 1/8th of an inch shorter. The bases are right at 3 3/4" with one being an 1/8th of an inch smaller. Also. One of them has a bit more glass at the bottom of the bowl than the other as you can see in one of my pictures. I do not see any makers marks. In my research I didn't find any that were marked either. They each have 4 air twist. Please ask if you have a question. I am more than willing to respond as soon as I see it. Thank for looking!

Antique Etched Goblet Red/White Air Twist Stem Large Toasting Flute late 1800s
Up for auction is an AMAZING Antique Toasting Flute or Goblet with an etched bowl and base and an air twist stem. This remarkable goblet was purchased about 15 years ago from the estate of an antique dealer. While the stemware is unmarked. The quality of the craftsmanship and etching indicates that it was made by a master glass smith. The toasting flute, or goblet, is large, measuring 11 3/4" in height. The bowl itself measures 6 3/4"in height and 4" in diameter. The air stem portion. Which has a twisted red and white design, is 4 1/4" in height. The base is 4 1/4" in diameter. Both the bowl and the base are etched. This stemware dates from the late 1800s to very early 1900s and is in excellent condition with no chips or cracks. There is a very minor manufacturing flaw on the stem that is pictured(the ogee isn't ... morecompletely even in a very small 6mm area in picture 10) The base has a few minor scratches(from resting on its base and being moved slightly during its 100+ year existence; see picture 9) While I would love to continue to own this wonderful piece of history. 2 RARE~Antique/Vtg TOASTING GLASS GOBLET AIR TWIST STEM lattimo red blue purple
This week we have two gorgeous antique toasting cordial glasses. They are very unusual. The ruby red piece has a lattimo and a pinkish-cranberry twist and the amthyst piece is done with Lattimo and cobalt blue. Both are in perfect and mint condition and measure 5 1/8" tall x 1 5/8" across the bowl. It is hard to see the ribbons. thin white strings in the pictures. For some reason the pictures make it look like a solid ribon as aposed to many thin line. Regarding Some Of Our Other Auction Listings: We have TWO~~VERY LARGE. Beautiful Air-Twist Wine glass. From Colonial Williamsburg. Williamsburg, Virginia. The glass is leaded crystal and is hand blown. The air-twist is formed by inserting wire into the molten glass, creating an air bubble, then twisting it into a spiral shape with wooden paddles. Goblet is 6.25" tall with a 3" base. This Newcastle wine glass measures 6 1/8" 15.5 cm) in height and is 2 1/2" 6.3 cm) in diameter at the top of the mouth and the foot. The base of the bowl is 5/8" thick, with 6 tears spaced evenly around a larger. Cental tear. This wine glass is in lovely condition. And many of the ones with the air twist. Do not also feature the thick bowl bottom with tears. It has 9 threads in each double air twist and 9 threads in the vertical twist. This item will be shipped well and packaged in bubble wrap and surrounded by styrofoam peanuts. In a 11" x 8" x 5" box. That box will be inside a 12" X 12" X 11" box. Also surrounded by peanuts. This will add to weight.But it is worth it,for such an old, lovely glass. ANTIQUE SEEDY GLASS GOBLETS- AIR TWIST STEMS This auction is for a pair of hand blown glass goblets or wine glasses with air twist stems. Pontil scars on bases, and seedy air bubbles encased within the bowls. Although this Georgian style glass has been produced continually over a few hundred years, this set has characteristics commonly found on 18th c. drinking glasses and I suspect that they are not newer production. I am not an'expert' on antique drinking glasses but I have had many newer air twist glasses and these'seem' dissimilar to any I've had in the past. Both glasses were hand blown and there are slight variations in their dimensions. Each glass is about 7 1/2" tall with a 4 1/4" in diameter top rim. Each base has a small pontil scar where the glass was removed from the stick. The relatively thick walled ... morebowls show horizontal concentric'waves' and random very tiny air bubbles. When struck. They have a high pitched'ring' indicating a lead content. Please review all pictures as they are part of the description.
