Early 18th c Georgian English Blown Heavy Baluster Champagne or Sweetmeat Glass
You are bidding on a nice 18th c blown heavy baluster sweetmeat or champagne glass from around the 1720-30's that stands about 6 5/16" high. Bowl is 4" across and foot is 3 5/16" Has a rough pontil. It has an angular knop and a domed foot. It has an old collection sticker that says"English Circa 1735" on it. There is a small scratch near the lip of the bowl. I tried to show it in picture#7, not very noticable but wanted to mention it. A few other very tiny marks and the usual imperfections found in early glass. There is a v shaped gap on the stem where the stem meets the bowl(see picture#8) that was done when connecting the stem and bowl together, it is not a chip. Other than that it is in perfect shape. It rings like a bell when tapped. Would make a very nice addition to any collection. 18th c Dutch Blown And Engraved Red And White Opaque Color Twist Wine Glass
You are bidding on a nice blown 18th c Dutch red and white opaque twist stem wine glass. The stem has red and white threads twisted around a gauze core. The bowl is engraved with a flower on one side and a moth on the other. It stands about 4 5/8" tall. The bowl is about 2" across and the foot is about 2 7/16" across. It has a rough pontil and a slight ring when tapped. It glows green under black light so it may be potash glass. There is a small area on the bowl rim that is a little flat. It may have been polished slightly or it may have been made that way, I'm not sure. No other chips, cracks or repairs. Really nice early color twist, would be a great edition to any collection. You are bidding on a nice 18th c blown taper decanter. It is plain and has a basket weave stopper. The stopper has a small chip to the edge and fits a little loose. It has a polished pontil. It stands about 9 7/8" tall with the stopper and about 7 3/4" without the stopper. It is about 3 3/8" across the base. There are no chips. Cracks or repairs to the decanter. 18th c Blown Engraved Case Bottle Decanter
You are bidding on a nice blown and engraved Steigle type 18th c case bottle. It is engraved on the front and back with a flower and on the sides with lily of the valley. It has a half post neck and a rough pontil. It stands about 8 3/4" tall. The base is about 3 7/8" by about 3 1/16" There are lots of fine bubbles and particles in the glass. No chips. 18th C Blown And Engraved Taper Decanter
You are bidding on a nice 18th c blown and engraved taper decanter. The decanter is flute cut around the base and has a pattern of stars engraved all over the body. It has a band of stars and ovals engraved around the body. The neck is panel cut and the lip of the decanter is cut. It has a scale cut stopper that fits a little loose and probably isn't original( the lip of the decanter has an XIII engraved on it but I do not see it on the stopper) The base is polished and shows heavy use. The decanter has a few minor scratches on the body. A couple minor chips on the lip(see photo's) and a little residue inside the base. There are a couple minor scratches inside the neck as well, see last picture. There are a couple fair sized seeds in the decanter. The stopper has a couple small nicks to the sides. Up for sale is this beautiful pair of 18th c air twist hand blown stemware. They are a very light purple complete with a blue rim at the top and a white rim at the bottom. They stem is a double serires air twist with blue& white and a metallic gold strip in the middle. They are very delicate and were well taken care of. They come from a wealthy Conn estate. 18th C. BLOWN WINE GLASS w ENGRAVED BOWL& FOLDED FOOT This is a good early blown wine glass with an engraved bowl and folded foot. Circa late 18th century. Wine glass is 4 1/8" high with a 2" diameter rim and 2 3/8" diameter base. It has a broken pontil, as expected, and the base is domed with the foot rim folded underneath. The bowl is engraved in typical late 18th century fashion, much like flip glasses and decanters of the same era. The wine is made of clear flint glass, and it is in good condition with the exception of a small flake on the outside of the rim, as pictured. Wines like this were common in Colonial households, and this could be American or English in origin. This is part of an old New England collection ofrmed over decades. Two trumpet bowl 18th Century wine glasses. Both around 19centimeters tall. Both bases about 18 centimeters across. They are blown glass, and of course hand made. In the base of each bowl is a 1 centimeter bubble. One of the glasses is a little cloudy with mineral deposits, can be removed. The stems are thicker at the top and taper down slightly. On the foot of one there is a line cluster of tiny bubbles that were made during the manufacture. Rough pontil on both glasses. These glasses have been in my family since 1939-1945 until now.
