Beautiful and rare 18th century English Georgian drinking glass or rummer. Made in 3 parts. It has a conical foot with a snapped pontil mark on the base,a knopped stem, and a cup shaped bowl. The glass has a deep oily gray tone, clear horizontal striations, and a gray finish line around the top edge(photo 5) There are no chips or cracks. There is a designation of"0.3L" incised toward the bottom of the bowl(photos 3,7) We assume that means.3 liters of liquid. This is a magnificent Georgian rummer, weighty but elegant. Antique German or Russian Amber& Decorated Rummer Glass
Here is an antique German or it maybe Russian rummer glass. It has writing on it but I don't know what it says. It looks like there maybe the word Russia. It looks to be dated M.S. 1896/97. I put the dark cloth inside the glass so you could read the writing. It also has a signature etched on the under base of the foot which is to small to photo. It looks like Gebr. Goedecke. Hannover. The glass is 7 1/2" tall. There are no major chips or cracks. There are three very minor flea bites to the underneath of the base. Please check the photos and ask any questions.

18th century Dutch or German roemer/ rummer/ römer white wine glass with vertically ribbed cuppa on a stem with three prunts and a flat trailed glass thread on the transition between cuppa and stem. The stem and the cuppa were blown and tooled as one piece. The glass stands on a trumpet shape foot made out of a single wound glass(fused coil) thread applied to the base of the stem. Small rough pontil scar below the base of the stem. The green color metal is soda glass with some small impurities. Small-tiny air bubbles and nice swirling. Height; approx. 13 cm. Each goblet has a drape pattern with detailed flowers finely cut along the wider top area of the bowl. The stems are a baluster style with a single knop and a single ring. The amazing quality of these goblets is the sound which they make, and how long the sound rings for, just handling them brings out a long resounding ring, truly unusual they sing to you. There is no damage on the glasses. American cut glass is generally divided into 3 periods. The two glass we have listed stand apart from our other American Brilliant period glass. The ring when pinged resounds for 10 to 15 seconds. Longer then our other pieces. Perhaps these are old Waterford C 1729 to 1851. Irish cut glass(Waterford in particular) reached its greatest fame from 1790 to 1825. The excise tax was imposed on Ireland in 1825, as in England, when less lead was used to save weight. Could the unusual length of the resounding ring verify that they are early Waterford, we do not know. Heavy Antique Cut Glass Covered Rummer or Sweet Meat Dish
This is a beautiful piece of glass. Measuring approx. 5" high to top of lip and 10-1/2" to top of finial. The dish was made in two separate pieces and joined with a wafer. Underside of base is decorated with a 16-point cut star and has old wear around the outer edge. The finial appears to have been made separately and applied. There is one tiny chip in the edge of the finial base where it is applied-NO other damage or problems to either the top or bottom, and both pieces have a great ring when tapped. You are bidding on an antique Georgian. Anglo irish cut and fluted rummer or wine glass circa 1830-49. I have 6 of the Georgian wine goblets available, but you are bidding on ONE. The goblets are about 5" high and just under 2 1/2" across the top. They are in really good condition with no chips or cracks. The base appears to be the original scalloping and has not been reduced. There are one or two very tiny pin point size nicks on the top edge. They are very hard to see but I can feel them when I run my fingernail along to top. They do NOT detract in any way. They ring with a great bell like resonance. These glasses have been in my personal collection for 35 years. I have never used them. They were purchased at a Massachusetts estate auction. And were described as early flint glass The painting on them is very vibrant with no wear. I always wondered if they had been painted later in their life or just had little use ever. The glasses are out of round and are of varying heights. due to the nature of the hand blowing of glass. Rare Georgian 19thc Glass Rummer Lemon Squeezer Base Engraved Ship Set of (6)
Up for auction and fresh out of an old estate collection comes this wonderful 19thc Set of(6) Rare Anglo Irish Matching Georgian Rummer Glasses with Lemon squeezer base and Engraved Ship! Each Glass stands approx. 6" tall with the top opening of 4-1/4" wide and the bases are 3" wide squared. The Glasses are in Great Condition for there age! There's not a lot of wear on the bottoms of these glasses for being as old as they are which leads me to believe they were not used very much and always placed on a cloth when used but They do have lite damage on the square bases which is common. A couple have small chips near the corners on the bottoms and all have minor nicks& fleabites on the underside around the lemon squeezer edge(see photo) which seems to be pretty common on these types of glasses. But none of this takes away ... morefrom the over all beauty of these glasses. The Etching on these glasses are is exceptional. And when you barely tap Them, They rings like a Glorious Bell.
