Early 18th c Georgian English Blown Heavy Baluster Champagne or Sweetmeat Glass
You are bidding on a nice 18th c blown heavy baluster sweetmeat or champagne glass from around the 1720-30's that stands about 6 5/16" high. Bowl is 4" across and foot is 3 5/16" Has a rough pontil. It has an angular knop and a domed foot. It has an old collection sticker that says"English Circa 1735" on it. There is a small scratch near the lip of the bowl. I tried to show it in picture#7, not very noticable but wanted to mention it. A few other very tiny marks and the usual imperfections found in early glass. There is a v shaped gap on the stem where the stem meets the bowl(see picture#8) that was done when connecting the stem and bowl together, it is not a chip. Other than that it is in perfect shape. It rings like a bell when tapped. Would make a very nice addition to any collection. There are various sizes in the set. Two of the set are smaller and about the same size. And the other 5 are larger and are approximately all the same size. These would make a great addition or start to a collection of old, hand-blown glass objects. These pieces are marked on the underside with the original pontil mark from where the blown and shaped glass was disconnected from the rest of the heated lump of glass. The pontil marks are not polished. There are no problems or damages to any of the glasses. Some of the glasses have dimples or bubbles in the glass. Antique English Double Knop Bucket Dram Drinking Glass 4" tall. 2" base, and 1 5/8" across the top. Excellent condition. No chips or major scratches. There are a few internal bubbles. Up for sale is this beautiful pair of 18th c air twist hand blown stemware. They are a very light purple complete with a blue rim at the top and a white rim at the bottom. They stem is a double serires air twist with blue& white and a metallic gold strip in the middle. They are very delicate and were well taken care of. They come from a wealthy Conn estate. 18th c Georgian English Blown Opaque Twist Wine Glass With Molded Bowl
You are bidding on a nice blown 18th c English opaque twist wine glass. It has a molded bowl and the stem consists of 4 thick threads in the core and a band of 9 thinner threads twisted around it. It rings when tapped. It stands about 5 5/8" tall. The bowl is about 1 7/8" across and the foot is about 2 5/8" across. It has a rough pontil. There are 3 small flakes on the bottom of the foot. Both the foot and the bowl have had some polishing. No other chips. Cracks or repairs. In spite of the polishing its still a nice early glass, would be a great edition to any collection. A lovely set of 6 circa early 19th century Bristol blown wine glasses in green. They are leaded glass with a resonating ring when tapped. They have rough pontils with a thin ring of base wear at the outside edge of the base rim. They measure about 4&7/8" tall with some slight height variance as you would expect. Condition is excellent with no chips. Cracks or repairs. There is one glass with a 1/16" bit of impurity along the edge of the base rim as shown in the fifth photo. Late Georgian or Regency Knop-Stem Blown and Cut Flint Wine likely English
This is either a Wine or a Dram Glass. Most likely a wine. It is from the late Georgian period which is also referred to as the Regency Period(1810-1830) and is most likely English. It features a Conical Foot with polished Pontil. The stem has an Annular or Blade Knop. The bowl is a circular cup shape. The design is cut and features a Diamond Band between Horizontal Prisms above 10 cut Basal Flutes. The glass is 3.25 inches tall and the foot and bowl openings are both 2 inches in diameter. There is appropriate wear to the base of the foot. There is a very"slight to the feel" roughness along the base of a couple of the flutes. A few pinpoint specks along the surface of the glass that can only be seen with a loop, could be as made. The only damage is a 1/16-inch flake on the lowest prism, just above the basal flute.
