This jug stands 8 1/2 inches tall. The front is decorated in cobalt blue lettering"HAYNER/ 42 E. MAIN ST. SPRINGFIELD/ OHIO" with decorative ... moredesigns on both sides of Ohio. Hayner was a whiskey distributor. There is writing on the base. But I have no idea what or who it relates to. It is not original to the jug, and I have not tried to remove it. Please see the photos for the condition. There are some cracks on the left side and base. I guarantee everything that I sell. I double box all fragile items in order to insure safe shipping. I do combine items for shipping. And you save the money on postage. Please ask for a combined invoice. I have 2 plates from this series that I am listing tonight. The second one ships for no additional charge if you get them both. If you have any questions. Please ask. Thank you.

An old 14 ½ inch tall memory jug with some interesting items. Please look at the close up pictures below. All items are applied to plaster. The base ... moreis a glass bottle that looks to be a deep cobalt blue. But I’m not sure as I can not get light through it. It looks to have been painted gold at one time. But has aged– so no metallic shine, just good old dark patina. There are losses here and there. Particularly the loss of plaster at the lip of the piece. In any case. A cool old authentic addition to a folk art collection. 5046k Please feel free to e-mail with any questions you may have. This item will be shipped parcel post to save on postage costs.
