It appears to only be about 20 years old. And I have never seen one like this before. It appears like it was only built at the end of last century, and is solid red mahogany with a rope or gadroon molded top. Open the top to expose a cedar lined interior. The lock has been disabled for safety purposes, per various used furniture laws. This is not made by the Lane Furniture Company out of Alta Vista Virginia, but it looks like their work, as it is high quality. The front has simulated five raised panel drawers, a fleur-de-lis carved simulated center drawer in the base and a beautiful applied incise carved skirt. Vintage 1975 Lane Hope/Blanket Cedar Chest Declaration of Independence? New Lock
For sale is a Vintage 1975 Lane Hope/Blanket Cedar Chest with New Lock! I believe it shows the Declaration of Independence but I am not exactly sure and the company could not tell me since they have lost their vintage records in a flood. It is style# 2389-22 and the serial# is 2575190. The chest shows normal wear like scratches and scuffs. It measures 40x17x17" and has two leather straps on each side(forgot the pic of that) and one has ripped and needs to be fixed. This seems to be an unique chest since I have not been able to find one like it. There was a recall on the lock and it has been replaced by a lock sent from Lane Co. Looks like this may have been an antique trunk that somebody decorated with floral fabric on the sides, put a leather lid on it, and added some wheels. It is very handy and can store a lot of stuff. This is an absolutely beautiful Lane Cedar hope chest. May I first note that the original lock has been removed so that chest can open freely. The top of the chest does show wear. Most of it is from small abrasions and water marks. The back also has a scrape. Please see the photos and if you would like I can provide additional photos as well. I am not sure if the scuffs and marks on top can be taken off with lemon oil or if it will need to be refinished. I am leaving as is. Virginia. This is from a very recent Estate Sale and has had only one owner. The warm walnut exterior of the cabinet on this chest/trunk is in amazing condition especially considering it is 50 years old almost to the day. Date Manufactured: 01/15/1965) The inside is lined completely with the aromatic pressure tested Cedar. This Trunk and/or Chest is in excellent condition and is ready to be filled with the hopes and dreams of someone very special. Here is a vintage Ethan Allen Baumritter Vermont maple chest of drawers. This 1950s/ 1960s chest stands 46 in tall by 34 in wide and 19 in deep. Its in very good condition. It has scratches, a ding on the top of a drawer( see photos) There is a seam separation, which is visible up close on the top. Its very tight, a refinish overall would fix that. Its completely solid and sturdy, nothing lose. The Vermont maple construction makes this too heavy to ship. Pick up only. The drawers move easily and are clean. This is a beautiful mid century maple two door cedar cabinet by Lane dated November. 1955. PLEASE NOTE: the pictures were taken in bright sunlight and came out a bit too light and orange in color.the cedar cabinet has a warm maple tone and is slightly darker than shown. The cabinet features shutter and paneled style doors with brass pulls that open to a solid cedar interior. The interior has two quality sliding beveled drawers with side handles. I have seen these sliding drawers on previous listings but they were just flat(no sides) and did not have the design and quality that these do. This would be great for sweaters. VINTAGE SPANISH STYLE LIFT TOP TRUNK / CHEST

This listing is for a Spanish style trunk that came from an estate in California. It has hand forged iron hardware and measures 34 1/2" wide x 18 5/8" in depth x 17 1/4" high. It is a thick pine wood and is fairly heavy. There are large wood knots in several areas that add to the look. It is missing the wood in one knot at the rear of the trunk where the right side hinge is. Photograph# 2 and 9} Although this piece of hardware is attached to the trunk below the knot hole. It is missing a hinge pin that affects the operation of the lid. It does open and close but would need to be fixed. The left side rear hinge pin has a tightly wound piece of what appears to be tape around the end of the ... morehinge pin preventing it from slipping through the hinge{photograph# 2 and10} The hinge is serviceable but would also benefit from a new hinge pin. The latch on the front lock was bent forward at some point{photo# 7} and the lock key has long since gone missing. Please use the close up feature to get a better look at all the descriptions.There are age and use marks over different areas of the trunk. I do not know the exact age of the piece, but my best guess would be maybe 1960's- 1970's. This would make a nice home decoration as is, blanket storage after some hinge repairs, or perhaps a base for a coffee table after a good piece of heavy clear glass is fitted to it. Old hand-made cash registers by Jules Bouillet These were made by my Grandpa. Jules Bouillet of Vincennes, Indiana. He was a glasscutter by trade at the Blackford Glass Factory in Vincennes, Indiana before it finally closed. He made all sorts of things from wood and also painted very well. My Dad had a beauty salon so my Grandpa made him these cash registers for his two salons. They work real well. They are really artistic and well made. I don't know what to do with them and thought someone might like to use as a prop for theatre or actually use in a store. The bigger on measures approx. 16 x 24 x 8. Smaller 18 x 17 x 8.

1950s Vintage Wild-Wild West Toy Box Chest For auction is a vintage child’s Toy Box/Chest covered with Cowboy and Indian style graphics of the American Southwest. The toy box is made of pine with notched finger grip handles on each side. A chain on the inside of the box secures the lid from falling completely backwards. This is a very authentic and structurally sound chest from the 1950’s and early 1960’s. It measures 30 1/4" long X 14 1/2" wide X 12 1/2" high. There are a couple of very minor cracks near the hinges. However I glued and clamped them tight and now they are as good as new.
