Another Great Find from Wisconsin. This Auction is for a Vintage Well Made Steamer Trunk. This has the Hangers and Keys. It is about 33.5 inches long 22 inches wide and 8.5 inches deep. This is a beautiful genuine antique Lane brand cedar lined hope chest which belonged to my grandmother. She was given this as a 9th grade graduation gift in 1952 from her mom and dad. I do not know the actual date of manufacturing only the year she was given it. According to the product information given below and the serial number. The date of manufacturing is 08/02/50. The color is a beautiful medium brown and made out of solid cedar wood and veneer on the outside and brown stain finish. This chest is very secure and sturdy. She passed in 1967 and this has been in a closet ever since. Time to"come out of the closet" and be of use to a new owner. Extremely well made and sturdy. As you can see from the inside photo. No staples are seen, even inside. Ivory color vinyl with hip 60's motif black pattern. The sides and back still show the gold flecks of original color.
