This is a great looking mid century chest of drawers by Founders Furniture. Dresser has five drawers that pull out smoothly. The face of drawers are made of thick hardened rippled plastic that have a fresh coat of lacquer and top and sides are made of walnut wood. There are three chrome strips that show off well just inside between the drawer and the wood on top and sides. The dresser is in great condition overall with some light vintage wear. Mid - Century Army Footlocker ( great coffee table or storage)
H ere is a mid-century US Army military trunk for your use as a coffee table. Storage, in your man cave, or whatever. The trunk measures 31 inches by 13 inches by 16 inches and is in good used condition. Unlike many of these it still includes the internal tray with 2 sections. There are military type markings on the top of the trunk(including the name of the soldier which I placed a yard stick across for privacy purposes. This works fine and should give you many years of service. I have no idea what it will cost to ship this so I estimated $50, based on comparable ebay sales. Rare Vintage 1950's Lewyt Arden chest
This chest/ottoman may have been a promotional item that went with a Lewyt Vacuum in the 1950’s. The chest could store the vacuum. But the graphics on the inside of the lid offering several illustrated uses. There is a“moth crystal protection container” attached to the lid suggesting yet another use. It is covered in a textured vinyl gray-blue material on the outside with a padded top. And the inside is covered with a heavy duty cardboard/paper material. The outside has no rips or tears with a little staining from age on the top. Inside there is a tear on one side panel. A single sliding hinge keeps the lid up when needed. Great mid-century graphics on the lid are the real appeal of this great little chest. This listing is for a small vintage desk accessory(or jewelry box) made in Italy. It is marked Genuine Leather on the bottom in gold. It has been used and shows wear. But is a very nice piece- still useable and great for Antique lovers/ home décor. It measures 12.75"L by 6.75"H and 5" at it's widest point. The weight is 3lbs. It is a beautiful rich amber brown leather with metallic gold filigree decorations along the edges and small brass knobs. A beautiful pale sage green velvet line the inside of the piece. Lane cedar-lined hope chest with lock and key. All original in excellent condition. Cedar is still aromatic. Style number 8809-50 and serial number 957270. Overall dimensions are 27 inches high. 47 inches long and 17 1/2 inches deep. Unit has two compartments. Main compartment is the cedar lined chest with inside dimensions of 28 1/2 inches wide, 15 1/2 inches deep and 16 inches high. Second compartment has 25 inch outside highet from the floor and has 3 vertical and removable dividers. This second compartment was probably intended for phonograph record storage. Inside dimenstions of second compartment are 14 1/2 inches wide, 16 inches deep and 15 1/2 inches high. Exterior finish is in excellent condition with minor blemishes on main lid top. Suter's Cherry Chippendale Bachelor's Chest
For sale is a four drawer solid cherry Chippendale bachelor's chest made by Suter's of Virginia. Suter's is known for their handcrafted furniture and attention to detail. The chest has a pull-out tray for writing or for extra surface space. The drawers are dovetailed and have brass hardware. All of the drawers can be locked. This piece was made in the early 1960s and has some age-appropriate wear.The pull-out tray is missing one pull and I don't think the other one is original. These could easily be replaced. Antique 1900's red cedar chest with wooden casters ..beautiful!
This is a beautiful red solid cedar chest with scrolled front legs and wooden casters. It is decorated with copper plates and is in very good condition for being almost 100 yrs old.I do not know the maker but someone has told me it was a"Rice maker of the world Assoc. chest made in USA.I have seen another one just like this that had a date of 12/25/ 1916. It does have a number stamped on the bottom right of# 4551. I do not have a key for it but you might be able to get one made. The wood is very nice and still smells like cedar inside and the plating is in really good shape with no dents.this would make a good sofa table because it is nice on all sides. It has wooden handles on the sides and measures 40 in wide the inside is 17 in deep and it is about 19 in tall with the scrolled feet and weighs about 35-40 lbs.If I can answer any more ... morequestions please let me know and thanks for looking! Beautiful ANTIQUE LANE CEDAR CHEST 1951 - Waterfall Art Deco - Blanket / Hope
This is a beautiful 1951 Lane Cedar Chest. It is done in the Waterfall style. With the different kinds of wood making patterns. This chest is marked with the Lane logo on the inside of the lid along with the original paperwork, dated Oct. 1952. The bottom is marked with the style number(2592-3M) and the serial number(157150) The manufacture date is the serial number backwards, so this chest was made 5/17/51. The inside of the box on the bottom is the pressure treated mark that also says, the only tested aroma tight cedar chest in the world" This cedar chest is in wonderful condition for its age. It has been well taken care of for many years. There are only a few light scuffs and scratches on the surface and a couple little broken pieces of veneer along the top edges. pictured) The feet are even in great condition. This chest does have ... moreits original lock still installed but no key. The latch mechanism has been recalled many years ago and the original locks need to be replaced. The latches automatically latch shut when closed and children can become entrapped. I was told that Lane will replace your lock for free but I do not know if that is still true. This is a 1953 Lane Cedar Hope Chest with two working drawers. It looks like it has nine drawers. But only the two bottom drawers open. The pictures show the original lock and key, but the new issued lock from the Lane Safety Recall will be installed. The chest measures 4 feet long by 18 1/4 inches deep by 29 inches high. It does have some scratches but nothing in my opinion that is horrible. I have tried to show them in the photos. I have searched the internet to try and find more information about this rare chest, but I haven't found another like it. I contacted Lane to see if they could tell me about the chest, but they said the warehouse where it was made had burned and all files were lost. Vulcanized Fibre, Italian Line Tourist Class Product Details: Vintage Suitcase with Wooden Slats There are two Italian Line Tourist Class stickers on this suitcase. to read about the Italian Line. My research indicates the stickers are from the early 1980s or before that. The suitcase is probably mid-century. This suitcase is made of vulcanized fibre( to see what that is) with a kind of wood-grain pattern in ... morethe surface. It has a harder material corner protectors. Chrome finished rivets, plastic handle, wooden slats with metal corner protectors, locking latches(no key) and paper interior. The vulcanized fibre makes it very light weight. But according to the link above, is stronger than leather. It measures about 32" wide x 18" deep x 12" high overall. Aside from normal scuffs and scratches. There are a few missing rivets, a couple shallow dents, and a couple gouges to the fibre. Nothing unexpected with a vintage suitcase like this(it gives it character) The interior is fairly clean(maybe a bit dusty) and smells OK to me. If you smell anything you don't like. Just spray it with Febreze or simply air it out. Nice suitcase. It could be used as a coffee table. Especially because the wooden slats give it strength. However if you do this, don't put anything very heavy on it. To keep shipping to a minimum. We will simply wrap this item with commercial shipping stretch wrap. Great Lines and Larger than Life describe this Unique Transitional Silver Chest. This is a quality piece of furniture that will stand proud in your dining room. Oversized. Heavy and chunky, this chest sits on a smaller square base. The chunky front door with molded wood trim with an integrated goldtone metal handle opens to reveal four shallow drawers. The top drawer is divided and lined with green felt. The others have the same grainy walnut or mahogany veneer that covers the outside. Quality construction with no metal hardware evident. Probably has the original finish. Drawers all have dovetailed joints. Solid as a rock. Large size will make quite a statement. 28" wide x 19" deep. Top is 32" off the ground. It is very heavy. Some damage to the veneer on the back part of the top surface. Gold Plate is wearing away in spots ... moreon the handle. Crayon marks on one of the drawer bottoms.
