Chest has very nice carved feet front and back with bowed top as well as bowed front. It measures approx 22" tall including swivel mirror. 12 1/4" wide at feet, and 9" deep at feet and has 2 small drawers at top and l larger drawer at bottom. Mirror is in fine condition. The small drawers each measure approx 5 3/8" x 4" x 2 1/2" deep. The one on the right has a smaller pull than the others but it appears to have been put on at the same time. Bottom drawer measures approx 9 3/8" x 8" x 3 3/8" deep. Bottom drawer has original lock(no key) and is lined with a silver color paper which appears to be very old. It measures 36 inches long by 24 in ches tall with the lid closed by 20 inches deep. It features a remova ble storage tray and more linens. Beddings. And clothing can be placed underne ath for conv enient additional hu ge storage. It is a wood structure trunk and frame with smooth me tal(black) and woven pattern metal riveted overlays with beautiful beading to ta ck in metals and curved and straight gorg eousl y grained wood slat s. Here's what I stated about it s condition: Metal overlay surfaces have been repainted and restored. Some scratches and scuffs marks on beautifully grained wood slats. Leather handle missing on left side. Flip up side locking latches both flip up into locking position. But only one catches to keep it lock closed and the other is missing its catch. Center locking latching closes in position but does not lock and there is no key. Interior lining shows foxing and staining and has some t ares due to great age. But smells clean with nice scent like cedar inside. Truly a rare beauty of extra large size that has great looks and craftsmanship on evident in these earlier era pieces of exceptional beauty. Antique Federal Style Flame Mahogany Dresser w/ Mirror 2 Over 4 Chest of Drawers
Antique Federal style mirrored dresser or chest of drawers dating from the early 1900's. Stunning flame mahogany veneers grace the surfaces of this piece and are decorated with intricate contrasting inlay. An inlay medallion of a lamp has been placed atop the swivelling mirror. Two smaller locking drawers are aligned over four larged drawers. Providing ample storage space. All the drawers are made with high quality dovetail construction. The entire piece is raised off of the ground by short tapered square legs sitting on brass and wood casters. Overall. This piece is in very good condition. There are some drip marks along the top edge of the mirror(from glue or wood finish, see picture) but no cracks or other damage. The wood has some wear associated with age, including chips and minor breakage to the veneers or inlay. See pictures. Antique Oak Chest 2 Drawers Over 3 Locks Brass Pulls
Sturdy and strong. This is a classically styled oak chest. It features two drawers over four, and allows for plenty of storage. It has solid construction with a newer golden finish. The drawers slide easily in and out, and each features a locking mechanism, which adds nice detail. Sadly, we do no have the original keys. The hardware is in good condition, though the top left drawer pull is missing its decorative backing plate. The top of the chest has a lovely serpentine shape. And while the surface shows wear that is consistent with age and use, it is still in very good condition. The back is starting to show its age, and some of the finishing wood has bowed. We have included a photo for reference. This does not effect the structure of the piece. Antique Old Toy Box Chest Cowboy Vinyl Wood
Beautiful Antique toy box. It has a few places if you look the girl has a scratch on her face. But it isn't deep. The back edges both are coming up a bit. And it has a small spot on the very front left of it as well as something on the front right that looks like a possible ink pen spot, but I'm not sure. And, lastly from what I've seen the bottom right has two small spots on it where the vinyl has come off a bit. You should be able to see all of these spots by looking at my pictures. I want you to know what you are buying. But, even with these little imperfections this is a really nice piece. I won't let it go too cheap because I know it's really nice and you can't just go down the street and find another one easily. Antique 1900's red cedar chest with wooden casters ..beautiful!
This is a beautiful red solid cedar chest with scrolled front legs and wooden casters. It is decorated with copper plates and is in very good condition for being almost 100 yrs old.I do not know the maker but someone has told me it was a"Rice maker of the world Assoc. chest made in USA.I have seen another one just like this that had a date of 12/25/ 1916. It does have a number stamped on the bottom right of# 4551. I do not have a key for it but you might be able to get one made. The wood is very nice and still smells like cedar inside and the plating is in really good shape with no dents.this would make a good sofa table because it is nice on all sides. It has wooden handles on the sides and measures 40 in wide the inside is 17 in deep and it is about 19 in tall with the scrolled feet and weighs about 35-40 lbs.If I can answer any more ... morequestions please let me know and thanks for looking! Beautiful ANTIQUE LANE CEDAR CHEST 1951 - Waterfall Art Deco - Blanket / Hope
This is a beautiful 1951 Lane Cedar Chest. It is done in the Waterfall style. With the different kinds of wood making patterns. This chest is marked with the Lane logo on the inside of the lid along with the original paperwork, dated Oct. 1952. The bottom is marked with the style number(2592-3M) and the serial number(157150) The manufacture date is the serial number backwards, so this chest was made 5/17/51. The inside of the box on the bottom is the pressure treated mark that also says, the only tested aroma tight cedar chest in the world" This cedar chest is in wonderful condition for its age. It has been well taken care of for many years. There are only a few light scuffs and scratches on the surface and a couple little broken pieces of veneer along the top edges. pictured) The feet are even in great condition. This chest does have ... moreits original lock still installed but no key. The latch mechanism has been recalled many years ago and the original locks need to be replaced. The latches automatically latch shut when closed and children can become entrapped. I was told that Lane will replace your lock for free but I do not know if that is still true. The lock will be removed before pick up, in accord with Consumer Product Safety Commission recall notice requirements. Please check the pictures carefully and use them as part of the description. Outstanding English Yew wood reproduction chest by N. Norman. London, England, circa 1950's. The four drawer chest measures about 30" wide x 18 1/4" deep x 30 1/2" tall. The chest has a slight bow or serpentine top and drawers. The drawer fronts are match booked and the top has contrasting inlay sections around the edges. The drawers are dovetail construction. Yew wood is native to England and has a birds eye grain with a warm light color appearance. This chest came from a Hilton Head Island, SC estate and is in very good vintage condition. There are normal signs of use and age with some light scratches and wear to the piece. There is a very small 1/2" ding" to the top left rear side and one very small"ding" to the top rear. The bigger piece measures approximately 5.5"x3"X1.5" and the smaller one measures 2.25-2.5"X1.25"x1.25" They have removable drawers. Please see my other miniature creations doll house furniture. A beautiful antique small chest of drawers cabinet with 3 drawers from the 1930s in an Queen Anne/ Chippendale style. Very elegant, for a hallway, bathroom. Dining area, guestroom, etc. in cottage chic white. I upgraded the cabinet lovingly mildly in cottage chic white but in a full coverage. No shabby rub added afterwards. In this case the cabinet was more an elegant style without any added gold decoration. Like it was often on such Chippendale cabinets. The chest is made of solid wood. Not pressed wood(I assume nutwood or oak) The drawer knobs are old brass. The measurements are: L 48 x W 38 x H 73.5 cm/ 19" x W 15" x H 29" drawer size inside: L 38.5 x D 28 x H 6 cm/ 15" x D 11" x H 2.5" Condition: Even after upgrading the chest is still a used furniture, but now with only minor age related signs. Bevan Funnell is a world renowned furniture workshop centered in Newhaven. England. Still in fine condition this chest would be well suited for a ladies dressing room or bedroom. The serpentine shape is indicative of the Georgian period style and lends the piece an air of elegance. The top is hewn from a magnificent selection of flame mahogany a very ... morepopular wood originally imported exclusively to England from Jamaica during the mid 1700’s. The crotch mahogany that is found on the fronts of the drawers was cut from a single piece and separated into five different drawers that graduate in size as the descend. The all brass oval pulls on the drawers have recently been replaced. The bracket feet are the finishing touch on this elegant piece of history. The top two drawers have locks but no key is present. Overall in good condition. There are some cosmetic issues to mention on this lingerie chest. The top has a small ding on the left side and some very light, old marks here and there. The drawers open and shut easily and the oval pulls are in great shape. There is a bit of crazing on the fronts of the drawers which is evident in the images. You will also notice some dings on the feet. The overall look of the chest is quite handsome and the patina of this piece will only continue to become more beautiful throughout the generations.
