It is made of solid wood, I believe it is mahogany and has beautiful grain. It is ... morein exceptionally good condition, for an antique, but does have some light surface scratches on the finish, but not many. There are a couple of small areas of veneer loss. These areas are on the right side edge of the top at the back on both the right and left sides, and one small area on the bottom drawer front next to the front leg. The dresser has a beautifully curved front design similar to a bombe style. The chest of drawers has reeded accents running down both sides at the front that continues onto all four feet, which are straight and tapering. The drawers have the original oval bail pull brass hardware on them. The drawers have dovetail joints. The dresser is 40.75” tall, 42.

The chair shown is offered elsewhere in our collection Item# 110105PII25 This is a remarkably preserved English Chippendale Period Kneehole Desk. Circa 1740-50. It is crafted of well figured solid single boards of Mahogany on the top and sides- there is no veneer on this desk, just solid boards of full grain mahogany. A simply molded edge runs the perimeter of the top, each corner scalloped. Each drawer is hand dovetailed front and back, with thin oak frame construction and thin oak drawer bottoms- all drawers are fully original and lack any adjustments and restorations to the secondary construction. Glowing hand forged brass hardware adorns each drawer. Appearing to have never been removed from the piece. Inside each drawer, as well as the tiny door in the kneehole area, silver metal locks are secured and functional. Each lock appears to be original, each uniquely cut on the right hand corner for all small drawers- it would appear the craftsman was presented with the challenge of making the lock of his choice fit the small space in conjunction with the pull hardware, and overcame this but cutting the corners of each lock. Hand made screws are visible throughout the lock hardware. While we cannot say for certain if the key is original, it is of the period, hand made and very similar in metal color to that of the locks. Each drawer is lip-molded and slides flawlessly in and out of the desk. Just below the top drawer is a secret drawer compartment. Appearing to be part of the frame design, but actually pulls outward smoothly as an extra hand dovetailed drawer. This is a unique addition for the craftsman to make, as many of these knee hole desks are without such innovations. The wide top drawer pulls out to reveal a full dust shelf. Antique Federal Style Flame Mahogany Dresser w/ Mirror 2 Over 4 Chest of Drawers
Antique Federal style mirrored dresser or chest of drawers dating from the early 1900's. Stunning flame mahogany veneers grace the surfaces of this piece and are decorated with intricate contrasting inlay. An inlay medallion of a lamp has been placed atop the swivelling mirror. Two smaller locking drawers are aligned over four larged drawers. Providing ample storage space. All the drawers are made with high quality dovetail construction. The entire piece is raised off of the ground by short tapered square legs sitting on brass and wood casters. Overall. This piece is in very good condition. There are some drip marks along the top edge of the mirror(from glue or wood finish, see picture) but no cracks or other damage. The wood has some wear associated with age, including chips and minor breakage to the veneers or inlay. See pictures. There ... moreis also a chip out of the left side finial and the right top drawer is missing its lock. The wood is cracked around the lock hole on the inside of the drawer. The wheels of the casters do no turn easily and probably need to be oiled. No other breaks or repairs. The dresser stands 70 1/4" tall and is 40" wide and 21" deep. Up for auction are 4 sewing machine drawer with holders. The holder only has pillars on one side I believe they are made of mahogany or walnut. It is hard to tell with the finish and the age. I am unsure of their age. They measure 11 1/8" tall.without the side leg. 12 3/4" tall with the leg. The drawers measure 14 1/4" long and 4 7/8" wide. There are some rough edges, some dings. One of the drawer runners is missing and a screw is missing on the inside metal piece.

This is an absolutely fabulous antique one piece Victorian four door mahogany closet or wardrobe. With original cloak hooks and campaign drawers and carved decorative finial. Currently having several shelf papered covered shelves someone added to increase storage space, a new owner could have additional or shelves more appropriate to the age of the piece made if desired or it could simply be used for that always needed extra space to hang multiple jackets and store books, gloves, scarves and sporting equipment within a stylish yet functional old Victorian wardrobe, most recently imported from the UK through Edinburgh, Scotland. This terrific four door closet stands 86 1/2 inches tall and measures 67 1/2 inches wide by 17 inches deep. Front to back. Elegant Regency Styled Mahogany Ladies Vanity Table, Writing Desk with 4 Drawers
This is the most curvaceous Mahogany ladies dressing table/ vanity you've ever seen! Styling is regency/ rococo. With cabriolet legs. Piece has 3 small top drawers, and one larger desk drawer. The veneer pattern on many faces of the desk is still vibrant& colorful- it looks like inlay, but it is not. There is some cracking to the large table-top surface, but the other veneer surfaces are intact. There are a few stress cracks in the curving form, but it is structurally sound. Item is used, so there are scuffs and dings. Beautiful addition to any room- piece is in good condition. We have no idea of its age. Origin or pedigree, but believe it is continental. This lovely extra large antique mahogany armoire or wardrobe with gorgeous wood grains and veneers. Manufactured during the early 1900's in England or Scotland was recently imported from the UK through Edinburgh Scotland. It offers beautiful organized storage for even the largest wardrobe. This early twentieth century wardrobe offers a large double hanging closet with a hanging bar with multiple sliding cloak hooks on the bar as well as cloak hooks around the inside of the closet. This open closet space of course could easily be fitted with any of the the modular storage systems available in most major department stores if that better served the needs of the new owner. The opposing single closet is fitted with three removable shelves which makes four large functional cubbies. The decorative doors on this wardrobe include beautiful veneer ... morepanels on the two outside closet doors and a large arch top beveled mirror on the center closet door. The design of the piece includes decorative metal hardware as shown and it appears to be both original and intact. This wardrobe does have a currently working lock and a key. Though I never guarentee old locks. The real highlight is the gorgeous wood used to create this piece and craftmanship that went into making it into such functional storage space. This is a high quality piece with dovetailed drawers and sturdy construction. I've included a number of photographs in an attempt to accurately represent the construction, design, condition and beauty of the piece, though pictures just don't do it justice. I notice the bonnet was not quite seated on top when I shot these photo's but it does fit tightly and helps hold the wardrobe together as per design. In very good antique condition and with few signs of wear, is circa 1900(it might be a few years older) and features four(4) drawers—two upper and two lower—and a 2-door armoire cabinet area with 2 adjustable shelves. All drawers and doors have orignal brass pulls and knobs. The interior 2 shelves are not original, as they were missing and I added these(I have no knowledge of what happened to original shelves) The armoire/ dresser is structurally sound and aesthetically beautiful, with a nice warm medium to dark wood tone The overall wood condition is very good, with one small exception: on the right side of the armoire/dresser, there is a 1.5-inch long area where the veneer is raised slightly(it's hard to spot, but see bottom part of last photo) This can easily be glued down. 4 Matching Lundstrom 5 Section Barrister Stacking Mahogany Bookcases Drawers
Before moving to my new house. I had a very tiny house, and needed to find a way to maximize my storage possibilities. Thats when I found out about Barrister style bookcases. And after researching some more, settled on the Lundstrom brand, as I liked its simplistic design. I traveled far and wide for years. Finally amassing these four bookcases, plus other Lundstroms I've still to list. Now with a bigger house. I find no more need to keep them, and am hoping someone with an eye for antiques and a need for plenty of book storage might need them. The top and bottom sections I have on these are less common than most of the Lundstroms you'll see listed here on Ebay. And for the 12 years I've searched for these I've only seen a pair listed maybe once or twice. But never have I seen a set of 4. I know the pictures are not the greatest. ... moreBut with all my other furniture and my low ceilings upstairs I had to set them up in my living room area which is already full of other furniture. They are in pretty good shape. A few(not many) have some paint splatter on the back sides(from paintint the walls of the room that they were in) of them from previous owners who should have never picked up a paint brush if that's how they painted. Some(not many) have a small piece(and I mean small) or 2 of the mahogany laminate missing on the sides. And those ones I bury in the middle so you dont even see the sides. I had all 4 of these next to each other on one wall. All are unrestored as far as I can tell and in very nice usable shape. They could use a good cleaning and some wax and they'll look great for another 100 years. They are located in Glen Gardner NJ. Which is exit 17 off of Rt 78. Some signs of age and use with some minor scratches and slight wear to finish. Top has some scratches. There are a couple of splits to the veneer edge detail on the top. There are a couple of isolated dings to the drawer fronts. The top drawer has a small crack to the veneer. The bottom drawer has a couple deeper scratches.
