Small chest of custom made drawers form Elgin. Illinois, mid century, from Chestnut Wood. Purchased in the late 1950's from a cabinet-furniture enthusiast that custom built furniture with drawers. This piece has four drawers each drawer under 2" in depth. Many of his pieces have been stamped with his initials. I have several more of these custom built pieces available from the same estate. I would like to add that the drawers still slide out and in with barely any friction, a dream for those of us that have struggled with aged pieces that do not slide properly with age. This is a Cedar Hope Chest manufactured by the famous Lane Furniture company. It has a full cedar interior and fold down shelf with felt bottom. The exterior has faux draws with handles. I inherited this hope chest from my mother and it’s at least 53 years old. I can’t use it as I don’t have the room. It’s in good condition but there’s some cosmetic issues I think could easily and cheaply be fixed making it perfect. The inside dimensions are 15-1/4” H x 15-1/2” W x 44-3/8” L. The divided tray is 1-3/4” H x 7.5” W x 43” L. NOTE: THIS IS FOR LOCAL PICKUP ONLY! It includes a“Long” lock and a black rubber handle. I am not sure what material the actual trunk is made from, but it is not wood or metal. It appears to resemble some type of heavy duty flexible cardboard material. The inside is lined with paper and the outside has a covering as well. This steamer trunk is in very good condition with some only one or two tiny nicks on the outside of the trunks covering. Inside is clean with no rips or tears and there is no odor. Chic 1970'S Spanish Sarreid Brass Table Chest Stand 3 Drawers Hollywood Regency
This is a 3 drawer Sarreid brass Chest of Drawers measuring 19"x19"x19" This chest has patina-ed with time and in order for the brass to reclaim it's sheen one would have to strip the original clear coating off. Repolish the brass and then recoat it with a clear finish. I am not that person. I think this piece is beautiful the way it is. It is well built and definitely holds it's own for a conversation piece. It's missing one of two pieces of hardware on one of it's handles that holds the handle to it's drawer. This piece consists of a brass strap brazed to a 1/4" threaded bolt which then gets a brass acorn(or finish) nut on the inside of the drawer. The handle works without the extra tie. Only it does have a tendency to"teeter" after use and for that reason you may want to replace or repair ... morethis missing piece. Please ask any questions before bidding. 1955 Antique Pennant Corporation Circus Toybox/Chest
1955 Pennant Corporation circus toy chest. In really good condition considering it is almost 60 years old. It was manufactured by Pennant Corp. Which is a historic Furniture Company out of Grand Rapids, Michigan. This company operated from 1955-1958. It measures: 30" tall x 15" wide x 15" deep. Some scribbling on the inside of the lid. And a tear on the top custion. No rust and the boards are in great condition.

The chest has 2 brass handles and a brass lock in the front. The hinge to open and close it works perfectly and there is no damage to the wood inside, it looks really good. The outside has a little finish loss in the one area on top. You could always touch it up with a little light scratch cover or varnish if you wanted to, also a small piece of the bamboo on the one corner is missing which could be replaced with a piece of rounded wood.
