Very high quality cedar wood interior finish with floral pad on top. Designs on front are hand carved into the wood on the chest. Interior is in PERFECT condition. Measurements: 3ft 3in long on the inside. But total length is 3ft 5in in terms of how much space it will take up; 1ft 5in wide, 1ft 2in on the inside. This is a beautiful vintage Lane cedar chest from 1965. This chest isn't typical of Lane designs. It has a very sleek mid century modern look. The chest is walnut wood lined with cedar. It has a storage tray on the inside for smaller items. The chest measures 20-1/4" tall, 53-1/4" long and it is 17-5/8" deep. It is in excellent condition with no damage. On close inspection it shows a few scratches and there is a ding on the back right corner, nothing outstanding though. This chest comes from a smoke-free and pet-free home. It is clean and ready to use. Per the Consumer Product Safety Commission(CPSC) Full size chests manufactured between 1912-1987 need to have their locks replaced or removed due to the fact that the original locks automatically latch shut when closed and children can become entrapped. This is a beautiful vintage 60s Broyhill 2 door dark walnut cabinet. This piece has so many functions. It can be a side or end table, a record cabinet or bedside night stand. It measures 22" tall, 26-1/4" wide and it is 18" deep. The inside of the cabinet is 13-1/4" tall. The table is in excellent condition with no damage. Vintage Lane Waterfall Chest This is a fantastic vintage Lane waterfall cedar chest. This beautiful piece was made by Lane in April of 1952. The front of the chest features inlaid veneer panels of burled wood. The interior of the chest is in excellent condition. The interior tray is lined with felt. Which has some general scratches and wear. The lid to the chest operates smoothly. The chest is marked on the bottom with the style number 2815-3 and the serial number 251040. Inside the top lid is the Lane marking. Also listed are the place of manufacture(Altivista. VA) and a list of relevant patent numbers, the most recent being 2355542. This is in fantastic condition overall with some general signs of age and use. There are various scratches and spots of wear on the top surface. There are a couple of small chips in the veneer. One on the top ... moreleft and one on the front of the bottom lip. There is some damage to the wood just above both of the front feet. There is some surface cracking on the curved portion of the lid, which is only visible upon close inspection. These flaws do little to remove from the overall appearance of the chest. Note: The original lock has been removed from this chest and replaced with a new lock to meet the US Safety Commissions recall of Lane Cedar Chests made before 1987. It is in good sturdy condition and the lock is functional. The original lock has been removed and replaced by Lane, so that entrapment is not possible, and it will only lock by pushing and turning the key from the outside. Vintage 60s style Drawer chest
I bought this credenza and the matching side chest in 1996 in a trendy downtown Vintage furniture store. Which specialized in 60s/ 70s. I used it in my 4 downtown apartments since then, so it has definite wearmarks. The top of it is fine, and the small chest as well, but the door n the right came off( is fixable) and the plastic plate from it fell of and the inner part broke, but it can be glued back on. On one of the drawers are visible crack marks, where i glued the pieces back on. All is fixable and the drawers work very well. Size: small drawerchest( 2 drawers) 21 1/2 x 14 depth x 24 height big drawerchest: 6 drawers and 2 shelves) 62 incehs long x 18 inches deep x 29 inches high these pieces are ready for pick up only. You are bidding on an ELDRED WHEELER REPRODUCTION of a TAUNTON CHEST that was commissioned by the ABBY ALDRICH ROCKEFELLER FOLK ART MUSEUM in COLONIAL WILLIAMSBURG where the original resides. The chest measures 23" width. 21" height and is 13" deep. This small chest belongs to a group associated with the Taunton. Massachusetts area on the basis of similarly constructed and decorated examples. Other chests in this group are more commonly characterized by a painted decoration consisting of a tree or vine springing from a wavy line, curving stems in lobes, dots or clusters of dots attached to the curves of the stems. Two such chests recently sold on eBay for $850 and $1375. Up for auction is a VERY RARE variation of the same sized chest with a beautiful sponge like design. When we purchased this about 25 years ago it was considered ... moreto be one of a kind and we have never seen another one for sale anywhere and the pictures above do not reflect how beautiful it actually presents. CONDITION: Overall this piece is in VERY GOOD CONDITION representative of a piece of furniture of a certain age. The patina has added to its look and the design is extremely vivid. Much more so than the lighting of my pictures. There are no broken pieces, nor any restoration. Some minor wear and tear around the edges are there if you are looking for it but the pattern is such that you really do have to look for them. Folk Art collectors know that age adds to the look of their furniture and anyone looking for something brand new from Ethan Allen should not bid on this auction.
