Lane Presented By Davis Furniture Wellsboro, PA. are embedded in the wood on the inside of the lid. The key works perfectly in the lock so we're positive it's original to the piece. The chest itself is structurally sound without any cracks. Splits, wiggles or loose pieces. Please note the small area on the lid to the right of the lock. We believe there was a piece of tape used at some time to hold the lid down and it caused a slight“lightening” of the wood. This isn’t major or a show stopper by any means but we always feel these points are worth mentioning. We never want our customers to experience any unpleasant surprises when they receive our items.
