Cherry 4 Drawer Accent Chest Brass Pulls Beautiful Wood Grain NICE 24" SIZE
Beautiful wood grain on this lovely 4 drawer cherry chest measuring 24" wide x 14-1/8" x 23-3/4" high. The perfect accent chest for any room to hold your lamp or other decorative item. Drawers measure 21-1/4" wide x 4" high. Designed in the Chippendale style with a nice base lifted from the floor this quality made chest has its original brass pulls. The drawers are dovetail construction both front& back, each drawers body is oak wood to give this piece additional strength as oak is a hard tough wood that will take a lot of abuse. Note that the drawers have dust liners built in between them with solidly built center runners that hold the drawers nicely. This is a very clean little chest weighing about 44lbs as you see it here ~ take a look. I believe this is what they call a Butler's chest there are handles ... moreon either side so he could carry it from room to room. The 4 drawers could nicely hold your Sterling flatware. This is a nice Lane Cedar Hope Chest from the 1960's. It is in what I would consider to be very nice condition considering it's age. There are some minor scuffs and scratches. But nothing serious. Please take a close look at the pictures for it's condition. The original Lane tags are still attached. The lock on this chest has been updated with the newer replacement lock from Lane that was part of a recall. The updated lock addresses a safety issue where a child could lock themselves in the chest. Because of it's size. Local pickup is preferred but we can ship this by Fedex Ground or Freight. Here we have a mid-century Victorian Style Embossed tin chest. Attention to detail is all here. This is a beautiful brass finish tin on wood chest. Not sure where it's from. It is gold inside. It has a small separation on the inside of lid. As seen in photos. I think they just didn't have enough gold paint to cover or the factory was in a hurry. Outstanding English Yew wood reproduction chest by N. Norman. London, England, circa 1950's. The four drawer chest measures about 30" wide x 18 1/4" deep x 30 1/2" tall. The chest has a slight bow or serpentine top and drawers. The drawer fronts are match booked and the top has contrasting inlay sections around the edges. The drawers are dovetail construction. Yew wood is native to England and has a birds eye grain with a warm light color appearance. This chest came from a Hilton Head Island, SC estate and is in very good vintage condition. There are normal signs of use and age with some light scratches and wear to the piece. There is a very small 1/2" ding" to the top left rear side and one very small"ding" to the top rear. Neither is significant; the left corner is not noticeable unless you bend down ... moreand look for it. Beautiful patina with the original finish. The last picture shows a tear on the copper strap. This is a beautiful piece of work. It measures 17 1/4" wide X 8 7/8" front to back and 81/2" high.
