Vintage Wooden Amish Made Handpainted Doll Furniture Bed Dresser
I purchased this vintage doll furniture at an estate sale and they sold it as being made by the Amish folks. There are 4 pieces that are all a light blue color and handpainted flower décor. They are made of solid wood. The bed is 15 1/4" front to back and the head board is 10 1/4" wide and 8" tall in the back. There is some paint loss and roughness on the top of the headboard. The chair is 5 3/4" wide and 4" front to back and 8" tall in the back. The wardrobe is 9 3/4" tall and 6 1/4" wide and 4" deep. The dresser is 7 3/4" wide and 13 1/2" tall to the top of the mirror and 3 3/4" deep. The mirror glass has lost some of the backing and is dull. The mirror also swings around easily and needs to be tightened. There is damage to one of the drawers at the top on the dresser. A neat ... moreold matching set of doll furniture. 1940's. Antique vintage hand-made wooden doll furniture dresser. The nails appear to be very old style. Very primitive construction. The three legs are good and the one in rear is worn/chipped/cracked,and top of right side cracked. see pictures. This was an estate sale find so I have no idea of the actual age of the piece. The patina on the wood has rich color. Dresser measures 4 1/4" tall at the tallest point. It came with some doll furniture I am listing. 1942 and previous owners name marked on the bottom in pencil. Solid oak is used on drawer frames and carcass- a sign of excellent quality. Chest unscrews into three parts- 2 stand alone chests and a center section.
