A couple of coats of lacquer could be added to give it a more vibrant look if desired, but I personally like the mellow finish. The dresser has white and gray grained round corner marble top with the insert in the center, raised burl panels on the drawers, big circular buttons on the middle of the large drawers, Victorian tear drop pulls, candle shelves on the mirror, applied carvings, burl panels and a beautifully carved fancy crest. It has the original old mirror showing minor silver wear.

Antique Victorian Celluloid Dresser/ Glove/ Jewelry Box Very Pretty Celluloid Box. It depits a farm scene with a man and woman working the farm. There are white roses on a blue background on either side and surrounding the rest of the box. The box measures 12 1/2" long x 3 3/4" deep x approx. 3" tall. There is obvious wear at the bottom edges of box. Nothing major. Overall in good condition despite it's age. The bottom of the box shows wear as well. see pictures) The box has a functional brass closure and two hinges. The top of the inside is lined with a white silk fabric. The bottom lining may have been removed if it was ever there.

Period brass tear drop pulls and pin& cove(knapp joint) ends on the drawers. All the drawers have their locks intact but no key. The front of the chest has beautiful incised carvings on the drawers and wood escutcheons. This chest is good quality, solid, sturdy and would make a great addition to any Victorian Decor. Nut missing for finial on left top drawer pull. The Eastlake furniture style as envisioned by its namesake, Charles Lock Eastlake, came about in response to his dislike of the over-the-top Rococo and Renaissance Revival styles popular during the Victorian era. Although Eastlake furniture is technically considered Victorian, being ... morepopular from 1870-1890, it breaks away from the excessive high relief carving, classical elements and numerous curves of other styles produced during this timeframe. In contrast with other Victorian styles of furniture produced in America featuring classical motifs, Eastlake furniture is more geometric and incorporates modest curves. Bed measures 6' 10" long. 7" tall in back, and 5' wide. The mirrored dresser has two side shelves for sculptures or decorative objects. White marble tops, side drawers and three bottom drawers. This measures 7' tall, 3' 10" wide, and 19" deep. The matching washstand has a marble top. Top divided drawer and doors underneath for storage. This measures 2' 5 1/2" tall, 2' 7 1/2" wide, and 15" deep. Mattress and box spring do not come with this. This is for 3 pieces only. Bed. DESCRIPTION: Beautiful Victorian/ Eastlake full size cherry bed. Cherry dresser and walnut chest circa 1880. Headboard of cherry bed is 74 in. high and 63 1/2 in. wide. Footboard is 34 1/2 in. high and 63 1/2 in. wide. Bed rails are 78 1/4 in. long and inside width of rails is 57 in. Cherry dresser is 81 in. high, 47 in. wide and 22 in. deep. Dresser has original rose colored marble top, original beveled mirror and original brass hardware. Brass bolts holding mirror in frame will not tighten. Dresser has 4 drawers with dovetail construction and poplar secondary wood. Walnut chest is 52 in. high, 32 in. wide and 21 in. deep. Chest has 6 drawers with dovetail construction and poplar secondary wood. Chest does not match bed and dresser but goes well together. Total weight is about 300 lbs. Bed, dresser and chest were refinished many years ago ... moreand have a good finish. Dresser and chest are on casters. Bed does not have casters but has holes for them. Be sure to add me to your! This ANTIQUE LATE 1800's VICTORIAN DRESSSER is made from solid walnut and has been refinished. It has three large drawers with a fancy skirt around the bottom on four legs with rollers. Which roll very well. On top of this are two glove boxes on each side separated by white marble. The back holds the elegant curved and bevelled mirror housed in a walnut curved frame with applied wood decoration and a special decoration extending several inches above the top of the mirror frame. There are four original leaf carved handles which are not on the piece. The buyer would have the choice of putting on handles of his choice or matching the original handles with two more. As refinished this piece is in excellent condition except for the missing two original handles. The three drawers are 36 inches wide; it is 37 inches ... morefrom floor to marble. It has lovely pink& mauve enamel flowers surrounded by gold designs. I believe it is circa late 1800s to early 1900s and most likely Czech/Bohemian but it could also be of other European origin(Italian? The floral and gold enamels are slightly raised and in excellent condition. The decoration is still very vibrant and colorful. All the painting is really delicate and so nicely done. The flowers on the top/lid are pink& mauve. With green leaves and surrounded by golden wreaths. The center star on the top is gold with yellow accents. This glass jar has a lobed shape and the artist has taken advantage of this by accenting between each lobe. ... moreEven the bottom half of the jar has delicate paintings all the way around. There is the classic"S Clasp" closure and the hardware is secure. The hinge is also secure and in good working order. The jar opens and closes as it should. I do not find any chips, cracks or repairs. Looking at the gold and enamel design I would say that it is 95% or better as far as being intact. That is amazing considering the age! The lobed design and paintings make this a very unique jar. I have not seen another one like it. This is also a LARGE jar and not a patch box. Spectacular"Highly Figured Sold Maple" Chest of Drawers Circa 1895 I fully restored this lovely piece.It features incredible"highly figured" solid maple with Birdseye maple veneers on the oxbow top drawer fronts.All of the brass hardware. Including the key hole covers are original.As you can see the hardware is the icing on this cake! The original drawer locks are all in place and in excellent working order using the beautiful key I had made.The top of the dresser has incredible patina and some of the finest grain figuring you will see.The top is first class all the way. All of the drawers were totally rebuilt and slide like silk. The drawers feature the sought after dovetail joinery. I restored the finish all by hand using a custom rich stain to achieve the highlighted rich burgundy followed by many. Many coats of hand ... morerubbed varnish.When you rub your hands over the finish you will feel the superb depth and notice the beauty of the amazing maple grains. This is a"bonnet top" dresser meaning the top two drawers protrude and overhand the lower level drawers. The sides have great architectural design with the paneled construction.Like any fine antique. This piece has minor imperfections and character marks in the wood. The posts which hold the drawer handle in place are brass plated steel, some of the plating has worn off after 135 plus years.The photos show casters in the legs, they will not be included.I find they tend to split the legs.There is a knot depression on the upper left side(see photo) I think it adds character and figuring just like the top of the dresser. Unusual and sweet antique pressed glass. Brass and weighted(plaster? bottom pin tray or bowl. Might have been part of a fancy desk set too but I think more likely a jewelry container for a ladies dresser. NO DAMAGE to the glass but there are some faults of lines in the flat surface that were part of the manufacturing process which just gives it more character as part of it's age. No chips. No cracks, no repairs seen. No markings found. Brass is unpolished and has a few mild areas of tarnish. I have not cleaned or polished this. I don't see anything that should not polish up nicely if that is what the new owner would like to do. Heavy at 1.13 pounds unpacked weight. Base is approx 4 3/8 inches in diameter and total height is approx 2 inches or a hair taller. An unusual piece and very pretty and quite usable for anything to jewelry ... moreto paperclips. Beautiful heavy metal(sorry I have no idea what the metal is) ornate Victorian trinket jewelry dresser box. The box was part of an estate and the hinge is missing off the bottom part of the box so the lid just sits on top. It appears to be a gold colored base that has a silver paint type dusting-the gold base shows through and is totally evident in th eone photo of the bottom of the box. The lid is lined with a white silk like fabric. The bottom is not lined-although it probably was at one time. This is a lovely piece and a rare find. Lovely Antique Victorian Celluloid Portrait Dresser Glove Box w/ clasp. This box has a portait of a very pretty lady surrounded by roses. The box is 13-3/4" long by 3" tall by 4-1/2" wide with crisp colorful grahics and an ornate black celluloid scroll w/ a lady's head in the center decoration applied around the box. The box is in overall very good condition. There is a tiny spot or two of budlging in the paper starting. And a few spects of paint missing. The linen lining is in good condition but is dirty around the edges. The clasp properly closes and the hinges are in good shape. Please pardon light reflection/glare lines- these are not flaws.

Up for sale is a a lovely set of 2 matching sterling silver and glass dresser jars. One is a large. Full size jar and a small rouge jar. Each sterling top has a beautiful, narcissus flower pattern. The larger jar measures 2 5/8" tall and 3 3/4" in diameter. The sterling top has some imperfections. The sterling top is thin and has some pinholes on the top and one small split on the side. It fits well with the glass base. There are also some small dings around the edge of the lid. The lid is clearly marked"Sterling" The glass base is in overall good condition except for a small chip on the side. And a shallow chip on the top edge measuring about 1" long. Purchased through an estate sale in old Charleston, SC and in lovely condition for a late 19th century piece with three wonderful beveled mirrors, lovely burl walnut on the front of the drawers, six small drawers and two large drawers for lots of organized storage and a nice top surface. The finish is in good condition, commensurate with it's age with only the minor nicks and dents one would expect with respectful use over time. The three beautiful beveled mirrors are clear and in very good condition, free of cracks, chips or pitting. ANTIQUE FOSTORIA GLASS. JENNY LIND CAMEO PORTRAIT DRESSER VANITY SET, VICTORIAN Welcome to our site. Offered is a set of original Fostoria hand painted"Jenny Lind" portrait dresser set. C.1880-90. The set is nicely modeled in opaque milk glass with aqua and bronze colored paint. Relief floral and cameo portrait vignette decorations. Commemorating the famous opera star Jenny Lind. Fostoria later recast the pattern in the 1950's from the original molds, but this set which is hand painted in aqua blue/green with bronze colored highlights is from the late 19thC. It has been in my personal collection for the last fifteen years. And I am selling it since having redecorated. The set consists of cologne bottle measuring 9 3/4" tall. Powder jar measuring 3" tall, and two dresser trays measuring 12" and 9 1/2" Condition ... morenotation: the lower stopper on the cologne bottle is damaged as shown. But the chipped portion is within the bottle and not seen when the stopper is in place. The paint on the cologne bottle has more wear than the other pieces, which have good paint retention. Antique Trifold Dresser Mirror, Waterfall, Zebrawood, Amber Glass, Victorian
Antique dresser mirror. Early 1900's likely, has three mirrors non moveable and 2 slim amber glass mirrors in between with floral design. Carving along tops is all in great shape with very little wear for it's age. No breaks or noticeable chips. Lower base area has what looks like zebrawood and maybe maple which looks well with a waterfall dresser. I have a tall waterfall chest but it's too narrow for this. Mirrors are unchipped and in excellent shape. Some silver fading towards some of the edges from age. Amber accents really set it off. Has solid base woods with backing and stable posts to mount to back of dresser. Very sturdy piece altogether. Finish is very good and really just needs a good cleaning and polish. Signed 835 silver, four piece dresser set. It is a wonderful find and remains in it's original case. A ll 4 pieces are in very good condition with only mi nor dings along the edge of the larger pieces. They are all marked. 835" No maker's mark. But 835 is the German ve rsion of sterling silver. The mirror is 10.5" long. The handled brush is 9" long. The other b rush is 7" long. The comb is 7.75" long. T hey are monogrammed with a fancy"PWS" lettering. The 4 pieces weigh a total of 25 ounces. This set is not being sold as scrap. The case does show wear on the outside. But is still nice for it's age. Absolutely beautiful true Victorian bureau/dresser top mirror. It appears to be made of either rosewood or mahogany. It has a compartment with a double hinged lid at the top of the base. Please look at all pictures as this piece is not in pristine condition. But at the same time, please notice the beautiful carvings throughout. It is in overall good condition and is a true beauty. The side hand carved mirror mounts are supported by threaded wooden bolts and attached by large wooden screws(please note pictures) The oval flat piece that covers the back of the mirror was been replaced many years ago. Antique Victorian Handmade Table Runner Boudoir Scarf with Embroidery and Ribbon work Flowers This antique Victorian table runner is a unique fabulous example of handmade embroidery work. The embroidery needlework has a lovely basket design at each end of the runner. The table runner is further embellished with ribbon work flower petals in a 3D effect and french knots in the flower centers. The table runner is nicely finished off with a metallic trim around the outer edges. Table Runner Measurements: 47" x 16" The black side of the table runner I believe is a polished cotton and the reverse side of the table runner feels like a thin silk. The ribbon work flowers are done in the same material. The embroidery floss has a shine to it and may be silk or rayon. Table Runner condition: The table runner is in very good pre-owned condition ... morewith a few small imperfections. I saw no obvious stains just 2 tiny marks(see photo) The tablecloth is in"as found" condition. The table runner ribbon work rose petal flowers have folded over with this item being folded and would benefit from being dry cleaned. I will leave the cleaning to be completed by the buyer.
