We are unsure of the manufacturer as there are no markings however the top chest slides neatly into the bottom chest and has a combined total of 11 drawers. It is in overall great condition however we do believe that the hardware has been replaced as well as a possible resurface and is likely a marriage upon very close inspection but works quite well. Noted and shown there is a separation to the lower section on either side. It came to us from a prominent estate and the previous owner made sure to note that their original purchase price was $11,500. A fresh find ready to grace your space! Including the key hole covers are original.As you can see the hardware is the icing on this cake! The original drawer locks are all in place and in excellent working order using the beautiful key I had made.The top of the dresser has incredible patina and some of the finest grain figuring you will see.The top is first class all the way. All of the drawers were totally rebuilt and slide like silk. The drawers feature the sought after dovetail joinery. I restored the finish all by hand using a custom rich stain to achieve the highlighted rich burgundy followed by many. Many coats of hand ... morerubbed varnish.When you rub your hands over the finish you will feel the superb depth and notice the beauty of the amazing maple grains. This is a"bonnet top" dresser meaning the top two drawers protrude and overhand the lower level drawers. The sides have great architectural design with the paneled construction.Like any fine antique. This piece has minor imperfections and character marks in the wood. The posts which hold the drawer handle in place are brass plated steel, some of the plating has worn off after 135 plus years.The photos show casters in the legs, they will not be included.I find they tend to split the legs.There is a knot depression on the upper left side(see photo) I think it adds character and figuring just like the top of the dresser. And made, in a Rococo style and can easily blend with almost any period piece or setting due to its timeless beauty and quality of construction. It and has a variety of markings and Label validating its maker and age which are captured and shown in the photos. There is a heavy paper label on the base of the Armoire which identifies it as"WIDDICOMB FURNITURE CO. GRAND RAPIDS MI. George Widdicomb founded the company in 1858. It went through a few name changes due to family member involvement and in December of 1873, the name was changed to Widdicomb Furniture Company. In the late 1800's Widdicomb products included bed frames. Chiffoniers, Mirrors, Nightstands and other bedroom furniture of various kinds made of Oak, Ash, Birch ... moreand Maple. And fortunately, they also manufactured Armoires/ Wardrobes such as this magnificent piece. Widdicomb at this time were designing Furniture in French/ French Rococo, American Revival and Colonial Revival styles. Many of their pieces are found in Museums and Collections around the world today. This Armoire stands 76" Tall at the center point. 34 1/2" wide at the widest point and 21 3/4" deep. I estimate its weight at 75- 100 pounds but just a guess. Let me just say, the Birds Eye on this piece is stunning. It is exemplary of the age when you could get such quality wood from virgin trees. The concentration of Eyes is not found newer furniture. The entire piece of furniture appears to be made with Birds Eye Maple wood and veneer. The only exception I can note is the side boards of the drawer are Birch I believe. The front and back of the drawer are Birds Eye. The door and the back plate for the mirror on the inside of the door are Birds Eye as is the back and top of the cabinet and the entire interior. Two legs are turned in three places and two legs have square tops. That there are two different styles suggests to me that these were chair legs but I'm sure they could work on an ottoman or a table too.The legs are 11.5" long(10" wood and 1.5" wheel) with a 2.5" hanger bolt post. They have not been refinishedand ou can see marks in the original honey colored finish. I took several photos of the beautiful tight maple grain. I'm estimated the age and guessing at the style. To me they're simply w onderful pieces that I have had for years and realize that I won't get around to making something with them so I'm passing them on to someone else.

Antique Maple Furniture Finial Furniture / Architectural Salvage
This is an Antique Hardwood Furniture Finial/ Architectural Salvage. I am fairly sure the wood is maple. The finial is also decorated with carved pieces of cow bone. The portion of the finial that would be visible when installed is 8" large. The section of dowel that would mate with a hole in the piece of furniture adds an additional 1 1/4" to the length. This is an estate The finial is an estate item and we do not know the age specifically. Nor where it was made, nor what type of furniture it was part of. It looks to me like it could be from a poster bed or a sideboard, but it could be from other types of furniture as well. There is no maker's mark. At the time of the original listing. This was one of a number of new antique and vintage woodenware listings being added. Three of these are for items of an architectural/ furniture ... moresalvage nature, and the rest are boxes and other complete wooden items. Condition The finial originally had three circular bone inserts with some type of semi-opaque material at the center that I cannot specifically identify. But you will notice underneath there are two"bow tie" dovetails. Amazing single board plank top.wonderful character and patina. Some worm holes, darker spots etc.simply a gorgeous hand picked piece of wood Entire table is solid maple.no veneers Never been restored to my knowledge. you will notice the spider style legs are joined to the pedestal with"sliding dovetails" all hand cut. This is a sign of high quality craftsmanship I love the stunning tiger graining on the hand turned pedestal.note also the very fine rings on the hand turned pedestal. Another show of the finest craftsmanship by the maker You will notice the excellent ... moreoxidation of the underside of the top. The underside of the top was hand planed. All 3 legs display outstanding tiger graining. Second to none As shown in pictures. There is a slight warp to the top of table.
