Walnut wood, and Veneer, and it is in original condition. This beautiful Dressing Table has a medium/dark red/brown Walnut/Mahogany stain finish color, see pictures, and it is a high-quality Art Deco style piece. This Vanity/Dressing Table has dove-tailed drawers that are made of solid wood on the bottom. And they are working properly. This Chest has an ornate Veneer design on the drawers and on the base. And it has carved accents on the legs and on the Mirror, see pictures. This wonderful Vanity/Dressing Table has antique Brass-finish handles on the drawers. And it has a tall three-part mirror on the top section, see pictures. This Vanity/Dressing Table is made in two parts, see ... morepictures, and it can be separated for moving and storage. Up for auction is this lovely Art Deco brush set The 4 items are in good condition overall. The silver shines up beautifully still. On offer is: A pair of oval shaped brushes. The main bodies are wood and still retain most of the original bristles- there are some missing but this is expected with age. Both are silver mounted and this is decorated with a lovely engined wavy pattern with a central plaque left plain. Both are covered in dents especially around the ends and one does have a split in the silver- again at one end. They measure 15cm by 4cm and stand 4.5cm in height A pair of handled brushes. The main bodies are wood which still retain all of the original bristles. They are silver mounted and this is decorated with the same engined wavy pattern as on the oval brushes. There are a few dents here and there especially around the top ... moreend. The handles are particularly decorative- also silver they have a lovely rounded shape and surprisingly are not dented or damaged- how they have survived I do not know! Standing on four feet the tray measures 34cm to the furthest points of the handles and measures 21.6cm wide inclusive of the splayed feet. The hard card base has warped slightly giving the faux guilloche a dipped center visable through the glass top. This is mentioned for accuracy and reflected in the asking price. The tray comes with three powder pots. All with moulded green glass bases with chrome and faux guilloche tops. The largest measures approx 6cm tall with an approx diameter at its widest point of 11cm. The two smaller pots stand approx 5cm tall and have an approx diameter of 8cm at their widest point. ... moreWith the dressing table set comes a very decorative candlstick in the form of a nude lady holding aloft the sconce. Again this is in chrome with faux guilloche. It measures 19.8cm tall with a base diameter of 9.4cm. There are a pair of matching candlesticks standing 6cm high with a base diameter of 7cm. The candlesticks may not have originally come with the set as the faux guilloche pattern is different although the colour is identical. Matching the pots is a perfume atomiser which unfortunately has lost its puffer. I have attatched no value to this and am including it purely because it is original to the set. Solid Silver Art Deco Dressing Table Set - Birm. 1922
A fabulous period Art Deco solid silver dressing table set featuring elegant engine turned design throughout and typically Art Deco form. Fully hallmarked for Birmingham 1922. The set consists of hand mirror. Hair brush, clothes brush and comb. All in remarkably good condition. The silver is excellent free from any dents or dings. The mirror glass is also excellent and the bristles on each of the brushes are all intact. The only flaw is that comb is missing two of the thinner teeth leaving a small gap, but otherwise it looks as though this set has never been used. Please see pictures below- click to enlarge.

An exceptional Art Deco 6 piece sterling silver and guilloche enamel dressing table set consisting of 4 brushes.1 hand mirror and 1 comb. Condition is excellent with just a minor nibble to top surface of the very tip of mirror handle which does not go all the way through and to be honest is a very minor imperfection. Hallmarked from 1934. Makers mark has been marked on the majority of pieces close to edge so between a poor place to stamp it and general rubbing from polishing the mark can now not be made out, The comb all be it is the same year has makers mark of K&L, The other 5 pieces are not by K&L as we can see a differant shape to the makers mark. It appears 5 pieces are by one maker ... moreand the comb by another but this does not mean they have not always been together. A very striking 2 tone enamel makes this a very eyecatching set. An antique wooden dressing table tray. Probably made in the Art Deco period, or thereabouts. The base is marked: EBONY MADE IN ENGLAND This tray is an elegant shape. With a rectangular tray, on a curved base, supported on four little feet, as shown. The tray has its original divider. Condition: Excellent condition. Small marks and surface scratches from normal use. Especially on the base. The only fault I can see. AN ART DECO SOLID SILVER& GUILLOCHE ENAMEL LIDDED DRESSING TABLE BOX 1949 This is for an antique Art Deco solid silver and guilloche enamel lidded dressing table box. By Joseph Gloster, hallmarked Birmingham 1949. The domed lid is made of solid silver and is decorated with blue guilloche enamel. The silver beneath the enamel is engine turned engraved with a radiating design. Which shows through beneath the translucent enamel. The base of the box is made of glass, which is lathe cut with a prism design around the edges and a star cut design to the underside. The lid is clearly hallmarked with the lion passant sterling silver mark, the anchor town mark for Birmingham, the date letter'Z' for 1949, and the makers mark'J.G LD' for Joseph Gloster. This box measures 11 cm in width and 6.1 cm in height. The silver lid weighs 87 ... moregrams or 2.79 troy ounces. The combined weight including the crystal glass base is 405 grams. The condition is generally excellent. Without damage or repair, the crystal glass base is perfect, without chips or cracks, the enamel on the lid is near perfect with a two very small areas of wear to the edge. Please see images. 1935 ART DECO SILVER DRESSING TABLE HAND MIRROR AND BRUSH
A vintage Art Deco silver hand mirror and brush both with hallmarks for Birmingham(L) 1935 and makers initials WH( LTD. The mirror is 27cm long weighing 861 grams and the brush measures 13.5cm long weighing 159 grams. The mirror has two nasty dents on one corner and a few minor scratches and knocks around the outside of the frame. The brush also has several small dents in the silver on the back. This mirror is a real find! Heavy brass and marble in Classic Late Art Deco Design! It also has a very Hollywood look. But the design is very spare and elegant. Would work for both sexes. This is a very heavy piece. Over 8 lbs.11" high and 10" wide. The marble base is 1" thick. There is wear on the brass which is a good thing.great patina. The mirror is two sided. Vintage Art Deco Five Piece Dressing Table Set - Blue Glass
Description The set comes complete with two candle sticks. A trinket pot, a perfume bottle and a tray, all in a beautiful soft blue and in an Art Deco form. Each piece has been mulded though there are cut patterns to the base of the tray and candlesticks. The set is in good condition though signs of wear are present; the tray has a small crack to the centre which is not noticable and doesnt affect the sturdiness at all.
