Vintage CONDOR DELINA Embroidered Petit Point Dressing Table Vanity 4 Piece Set For your consideration is a mid-20th Century four piece vanity set- a CONDOR Product from England with the DELINA Trade Mark. It is in wonderful condition for its age and features delightful petit point embroidery of pink roses. Green leaves and gold scrolled highlights on a very light grey background. The embroidery is protected by fitted plastic and the colours are vibrant and beautiful. All pieces have very detailed and beautifully ornate(unpolished) frames with lovely patination that enhances their vintage character. The frames are filigreed and gilded brass with matching patterns and the handles of the mirror and brush have stunning fretwork. The set consists of a mirrored tray(13cm x 13.5cm x 2.5cm) A hair brush(27cm x 11cm x 4cm) a clothes brush(15.5cm ... morex 4cm x 4cm) and a hand held mirror(34cm x 15cm) The two brushes have detachable bases for easy cleaning and both are in very good condition with little signs of staining or wear. The brush base is a darker colour than the clothes brush base. The mirrors have a few very slight scratches which are difficult to see and the mirror tray has green velvet underneath. Rare 1920s solid ebony calendar with early plastic(bakelite? month. Day and date cards. Measures 3 inches tall, 2 inches wide, it is stamped'EBONY' to the base. The cards are in very good condition, all are present with the exception of the number card with 1 on one side and 2 on the other, however there is a spare card of the largest size that could be made into a replacement. The ebony is in perfect condition with no chips, cracks, knocks or nibbles. It has highly polished patina that has developed over more than a century of love. A rare piece. Lovely Vintage Regent of London Oriental Design Filigree Dressing Table Tray A Beautiful Vintage Oriental Dressing Table Tray. The set is decorated in a lovely Chinoiserie design and depicts a scene of two Oriental ladies feeding three fish and a scene of a lady looking at a man selling oriental jars. Lovely golden colours with hints of blue and pink in the clothing. The tray stands on four feet and is edged in fine gilt work and the handles have a filigree design. Makers mark underneath in black is hard to read but we know it is that of Regent of London. A really nice tray please see our other listing for matching lidded and hinged trinket/powder pot. This is a classic English made.1930'S Art Deco style Xylonite brush set in it's Original Gift Box. It was made by the UK company'British Xylonite' under their'Talisman' brand. The Two brushes measure 110 mm x 63 mm and 155 mm x 42 mm. The Original Box which is cream coloured has a swirly.Silky pattern,it measures 170 mm x 140 mm x 47 mm. The two brushes are backed with Cream Coloured and'Tortoiseshell' Xylonite. Each brush has a brass shield(Possibly Gold Plated as there is no Tarnishing) on the back of the brush. The tray a pretty lace and petit point insert between 2 plates of glass. Has a embossed gilt frame. Filigree handles and 4 ornate feet. Meas. approx. 14 x 8 inches/ 36 x 20 cm. Vintage four piece petit point vanity dressing table set hairbrush. Mirror Vintage four piece petit point dressing table set comprising hand mirror. Hair brush, clothes brush and comb. Comes with the original receipt dated 1951 for £7.5' The comb is in its original sleeve but is damaged at the edge. The brushes have clearly never been used. Mirror approx 30cms long. This used vintage dressing table set by Regent of London. There is an oval tray. Bowl, lipstick holder and comb. The oval tray is approximately 12 inches long by 8 inches wide. The centre is covered in lace with a ceramic plaque in the middle with a black rose. Covered by glass. The lid of the glass powder bowl has the same lace and ceramic plaque and is covered with clear plastic. The lipstick holder has the same lace covered with plastic. Exquisite embroidery with the lady being in raised applique. Tray has a wooden back and decorative metal(brass? surround and handles. Glazed to front. Excluding handles it measures 10 3/4 x 9 inches. Handles are fixed with screws so could be removed to create a frame. Sadly there is water damage to the embroidery but the back of the tray will remove easily and it may be possible to clean this or alternatively to add a mount which would cover most of it. This is an interesting and unusual item which I can only imagine is a shop display pedestal. It looks like it should have something draped over or around it and I can't think of any other purpose for it. It would also look good on a dressing table as a sort of giant necklace/ringthing. In my opinion. Judging by the style and shape, this probably dates back to the Art Deco period. Antique dressing table talcum pot & vintage powder puff LID DAMAGED initials AS
A handsome little antique powder pot. Presumably Edwardian. Or perhaps a little earlier. It comes with an exquisite powder puff; I have no idea how old this is. But it has clearly lived in the pot for some considerable time. The pot is three inches tall. And once formed part of a dressing-table set. The lid has the initials AS in silver-coloured metal. The base is marked: EBONY Condition The base of the pot is in excellent condition. With no damage except that the screw thread has worn a little on one side. The powder puff is beautifully soft and feathery. It still has a light dusting of powder. The lid is not quite so good as the rest of the pot. The top of the lid is good-looking. With the silver-coloured initials AS fixed in the centre, and a few marks from normal use. The sides of the lid. However, have 5 hairline cracks- presumably the ... morelid was forced or cross-threaded at some time in the past. The lid can no longer be fastened tightly. Because of the cracks. It is in very good condition with no stains or holes. It is really beautiful! The lovely ladder worked edging is finished with blue stitching which makes it really stand out. Two of the corners have beautiful applique and embroidered flowers and the other two corners each have a pretty little embroidered flower. The quality of the needlework is excellent.
