It measures 38" wide at its widest point and is 24" high. The mirror itself measures 14" x 9.5" and the shelf is 5" deep. Genuine. 1800s, architectural piece. Just dying for a little imagination. Originally a 19th century, music holder. Last used as unique frame for architectural print. It has classic, spoon carved, leafy stem and flower design. Raised round medallions at each top corners. Double horizontal grooves along bottom and flanking flower. Contoured top outline with nicely bevelled edges framing center opening. Very good overall condition with no breaks, repairs, or missing pieces. The wood is dark walnut and the mirror has Eastlake style spoon carvings on the corners and a half spindles on each side of the mirror. It has a squared off top that looks shelf like. The glass is in excellent condition with no fogging or discoloration. There are a few nicks and scuffs on the wood of the mirror but over all it is in great condition. The marble on the desk is in excellent condition. ... moreIt is light brown and has a smooth beveled edge. It still has some shine to it as well. The desk has 1 center drawer and it has dovetail craftsmanship with a brass pull. The legs are very curvy and come together to form a butterfly shape. The stretcher runs across the width of the table and is very curvy as well. Meeting the center of the legs on each side. The wood does show some signs of age and wear but this just adds to the character and patina of the entire set. The back upper corner has a small chunk missing but you cant even see it with the marbel top on. See pictures below. This is a very nice set, it is antique and will not be perfect. I do not know who the maker is or the exact date it was made. The mirror measures 46 ¼ inches tall, 25 3/8 inches side to side and 3 11/16 inches front to back. It weighs 20 pounds. The marble top measures 1 1/8 inches tall, 29 9/16 inches side to side and 19 3/8 inches front to back. The marble weighs 58 pounds. This floor shaving stand with a tilt mirror is in the Eastlake style. The age of the piece is c. 1870-1890. It is in great found original condition. The mahogany finish is original with a good patina. The original beveled mirror tilts at various angles to accomodate one who is shaving. The dovetailed drawer has the original pulls to it. The storage compartment on the bottom is unusual in that this type stand usually does not have this feature. It also has its original hardware. The stand is sturdy and tight. I have found no repairs. Victorian Eastlake Dresser Mirror Spoon Carved Walnut For sale is(1) antique 1880’s Eastlake style dresser and mirror done in walnut with chip carved detail The dresser measures 76 inches high overall x 38.5 inches wide x 18 inches deep. The height of the dresser chest is 34 inches The three drawers are 7 inches deep on the inside and each has the original lock mechanism with brass keyhole insert. Each drawer has the traditional Eastlake chip carving detail. All the drawers are dovetailed and have the original bottoms. The hardware is the classic brass teardrop and I believe these are not original but correct for the period. There are 4 wooded casters on the bottom and appear to be replacements. The swivel mirror measures 27 inches wide x 21 inches high and has the original mirror. The pictures show a sheet to cut down on the reflection. ... moreA carved detail on the center top of the mirror section matches the lower carvings. The color of the dresser is a medium dark brown walnut. The finish is original and the finish on top of the dresser is quite excellent and hand rubbed. Beautiful handmade Eastlake antique 19c spoon carved mirror. Measures approx. 25 1/4 X 15 1/2. It has an outer frame in ebony with carvings. A center frame of polished burl wood and an inner frame of ebony with tiny etchings and a carved rim around mirror. Some silvering is worn from edges of mirror. Edges of frame have some chipping and the bottom of the burl frame shows wear or scratch. The outer ebony frame has two places that show crack in finish. See photos for condition. HUGE Eastlake Mission Style Dressing Mirror ~ Wall- Foyer- Fireplace Mantel- Bathroom ~ Price Reduced from $295 In this listing we are offering for sale this splendid Victorian Eastlake Carved Walnut Wall/ Dresser Mirror circa 1880’s. The carved details on this mirror are geometric in design reflecting more of a adobe southwest style motif. The mirror measures a total height to the top of the crest of 49-1/2” inches tall by 36” inches wide. And weighs between 20-25 lbs. The mirrored inside dimensions are approximately: 29” inches tall by 17” inches wide This would make a wonderful statement in a foyer. Bedroom or great room over a fireplace mantel in a southwest décor style, log cabin or Victorian themed home. There have been restoration modifications to the mirror as follows: There was no original mirror when I purchased it. Just the ... moreframe and it’s been replaced by a modern glass mirror. There was only one unattached shelf bracket, but someone can have a wood craftsman duplicate another one to match booth sides if they so choose. The mirrored frame piece(I believe) was originally made to swivel for a large dresser, but solid brackets are now attached to the back to make this piece stationary since there was also no original hardware that came with it. The wood was faded from years of neglect in a bright storeroom as seen by the bracket shelf, but the mirror frame has been refinished with a clear natural stain to bring out the original color of the walnut wood. The photos show more of a reddish tint to the color, but it’s really a warm medium brown tone. It was very difficult to photograph in my office. Overall wood condition is very good, no splits, cracks, chunks missing, mold or rot. Although our price is reflective of these modifications. There is still value in owning this beautiful piece of history for generations to come. This delightfully preserved 1880s mirror measures only 16” x 11 ¾” overall with 8 ½” x 6 5/8” reveal and 7 1/8” x 9 1/8” back opening. Solid walnut with burl panels. The satiny finish is in excellent condition with warm patina. The mirror has just enough"smoke" to show its age, it is mounted above two small jewelry drawers. All drawers have round or"pin and cove" dovetail joints, characteristic of the age. Engraved brass hardware is of the period. But not original to the piece, for unknown reasons. This is a rare Eastlake overmantel. It has various carved and spindle design throughout the piece. The glass is bevelled with the original distress. The large middle piece is intact with most of the small square pieces except two surrounding it in good condition. There were originally mirrored panels in each of the four surrounding squares. Only one remains. The design works fine without them and the remaining piece could be cut and used to replace the two little squares. The Dimensions are: 56 in. H x 68 in. W x 12 in. Circa 1850-1860 Victorian Eastlake Style Pier Hall Mirror
With all the richness of the mid 1800's Victorian era. We have an Eastlake style pier hall mirror. The top of the mirror has Gothic style gingerbread trim in two rows. The top middle of the mirror frame has double ornamental upside down finial carvings. The frame detail includes low relief and incised line carvings commonly found in Eastlake style. The mirror is flanked by smooth columns that look marbleized in dark wood and black. The mirror has been loved and used. The wood columns. Believed to be walnut, are worn and scuffed. The top left cornice is off and needs to be re-attached. The bottom ledge that the mirror sits on is missing 3/4 of the ledge; the missing piece measures 1 1/2 X 17. Wonderful Victorian hall tree with elements of Eastlake style. This piece is made from beautiful dark walnut and has a central mirror with bevelled edges. The arched top and middle panel have quintessential spindle shapes above a scrolled. Tray-like shelf. A circular brass piece on the lowest shelf was likely intended for holding umbrellas. Four decorative brass hooks are fastened along the sides for hanging coats and have long threaded backs that allow them to be used to affix the hall tree to a wall for stability. The framed mirror alone is 4.75" x 14.5" No cracks or chips condition. 19th century Victorian era item. This item is in perfect shape for its age. No refinishing required. There was a drak-ugly one on this past week that brought $37-are you kidding? It was terrible with unspecified white gunk around the mirror and visible tacks.
