The center top of the mirror is graced with a beautiful scrolled foliate crown with carved grape cluster center. This beautiful crown is removable for shipping purposes and sits on the gorgeous mirrored top which is adorned with elegant moulding. Antique Marble Top Dresser
This dresser has been in our family since at least the early 1900's. It is stamped Peter Canaris Furniture of Jersey City. NJ. The marble top measures 19" x 42" It is 33" high, not including the glove boxes. The two glove boxes measure 11" x 11" at the base and are 2.5" high. The fabric drawer liners were made by my grandmother and have some stains. The wood finish and the marble top are in good condition. We are downsizing and must part with some of family treasures.

This 19th century dresser measures 83 inches(6 ft 11 inches) in total height from the floor to the very top of the carved crest. A width of 37 inches, and a total depth of 17 inches and this dresser weighs approximately 135 lbs. For sale I have a beautiful vintage carved wood mirror 5 drawer dresser combo with a marble top. The detail in the craftsmanship is very detailed. The marble top has several cracks but overall the piece is still in fairly good condition. A very nice antique piece of furniture. It measures about 78 inches tall counting the mirror and is about 45 1/2 x 21 inches wide. It is too big and heavy for me to ship anywhere so is being offered for local pickup only in the 80110 zip code. French Empire Mahogany Marble Top Commode Chest Dresser with Gilt Mounts c. 1805

Description: This listing is for a 19th Century French Empire Period Mahogany Marble Top Ormolu Mounted Commode. Circa 1805. It is a fascinating work of art, constructed in three parts- first the marble, which is extremely heavy at just over an inch thick(1 1/16" thick) the top of the chest with the top drawer, and the bottom of the chest with the lower three drawers. Lifting the marble reveals the construction of the topmost portion. Each of the front corners with a full gallery of hand cut dovetails that lock the top into the thick corners. All of the secondaries are solid oak, joined with large pegged tenons along the frame, this large thick top joining the lower case with thick through-tenon wedged mortise joints- by ... morepulling out the wedge, the tenon drops out of the top portion, freeing it from the lower case. This lifts away from the case as long as the columns are not nailed at the top. The top drawer features the most incredible gilt ormolu mounts. Cast with stunning attention to even the smallest detail. Horizontal curled anthemions flank a seated angel, inscribing in a blank scroll. With wings furled behind, detailed even down to the tiniest feather, the angel rests with legs slightly bent as the robe flows from his legs, a trumpet peering out from behind him. Over either columnar support, gilt ormolu mounts of angels flank the top drawer, the figure on the right peering towards the sky with a globe behind him, the angel on the left sitting on a carefully crafted French Empire chair reading a scroll. The turned columns on either side rest on square plinths. Capped at the top and bottom with gold gilt flamed mounts, finely detailed throughout. Three drawers slide in and out of the case, each hand dovetailed front and back with solid oak secondary woods making up the frame and bottoms. FYI. This is a very nice. Unique, dresser, or cabinet to have anywhere in your house. It measures. Top, 4 foot X 16" X 32" tall. I had an antique dealer look at it, He said based on the joints in the drawers he dates it to mid 1800's. and has all original finish and hardware. There is a key that works also. The marble top has been broken I think the poto will show that. It also looks like it may have had a mirror at one time too. I don't believe there is a nail in it and is very sturdy. I have had this in my living room for many years. Just a nice pce. of furniture and does not look like a dresser im my living room. I also had it in my kitchen for a long tome too. Being offered for sale is this fantastic Victorian Walnut& Burl Walnut Marble Top Drop Center Dresser circa 1875. This beautiful 19th century dresser features an abundance of gorgeous carvings and burl walnut accents on the crest of the tall dressing mirror.The original period brass pulls, period dove-tailed ends on the drawers and all the casters intact on the base. This splendid dresser measures a total height from the floor to the top of the mirror of 92 inches(7 ft 8 inches) A total width of 51 1/2 inches, height from the floor to the top of the dresser sides measures 36 inches, and height from the floor to the marble at the center measures 23 inches, with a total depth at the base of 20 inches and this dresser weighs approximately 150 lbs. The marble at the center measures 22 inches wide by 14 1/2 inches deep. The vintage replacement ... moremirror measures 47 inches in height by 19 inches wide. This dresser has four smaller drawers(two on each side) over the two larger ones at the base. All the locks are intact on the drawers but we do not have the key. The vintage replacement mirror is in wonderful condition and the original white inserted marble at the center of the dresser has no issues we can find. Please note the picture showing the back of the dresser shows that some small metal braces were placed on the back at some point in time to help secure the mirror portion to the sides.not an issue but wanted to point this out. Floral and scroll designs. The large mirror is beveled and framed by ornately carved walnut with burled accents. The mirror is in great condition with no breaks, chips or cracks. There is a small lamp shelf flanking the mirror frame on each side. The marble top base is magnificent. The green marble is in excellent condition ... morewith no breaks, chips or cracks that I can see. The base and marble are a unique shape due to the ornately carved columns on each corner of the base. The marble is cut to project out over the top of the columns. The marble has a deep double bull nose edge all the way around giving the affect of 2 pieces of marble. The base has 3 dovetail-jointed drawers with metal pulls. There is a small surface split in the wood where the crown meets the mirrors frame otherwise this piece is in excellent condition. I do not know the maker or exact date it was made. This piece is antique and will not be perfect. The mirror measures 88 7/8 inches tall, 46 1/8 inches side to side and 5 inches front to back. It weighs 74 pounds. The marble measures 11/16 inch tall, 50 3/8 inches side to side and 21 ¼ inches front to back. The marble weighs 62 pounds. Antique Dutch Marquetry Highboy Marble Top Dresser Tallboy 1800s 19th Ships
WHAT YOU ARE BUYING/BIDDING ON One Antique Dutch Marquetry Highboy with Marble Top. DESCRIPTION This is a wonderful and interesting piece of Dutch marquetry. It has been repaired at some point and I don't believe the front legs are original to the piece which made somewhat hard to put an exact date on. The most of the interior wood surfaces seem to rough as if the it was hand planed. All the joinings on the back are chisel pegged(see photos) The dovetailing looks to be hand done but I could be mistaken(see photos) I would estimate this piece is from early 1800s. I have many more photos of this piece archived if you would like see any more detailing. This piece would be wonderful in a bedroom or in a entryway statement piece. Up for auction is a very nice French Bombe Commode Style Dresser. The dresser is nicely accented with bronze mounts and a mottled pink and white marble top. The dresser is made of hardwood with marquetry floral veneer work. The dresser measures 33 inches tall x 34 inches wide x 19 inches deep. The dresser is sturdy with some veneer loss. Mostly around the front left leg. The marble top is in great condition, with natural veining and russet inclusions. Bullnose-edged marble replacement tops for such dressers average $350-$450 just for the replacement top, so this is a great deal. It is unknown whether the dresser actually belonged to Count Potocki of Poland as the label on the dresser says. Antique Marble Top Dresser Chest Beveled Mirror Oak
Being offered here is a vintage three drawer dresser with exquisite architectural lines and hardware. Please view pictures for details. We are not sure if the wood is walnut or oak. The overall height of this chest measures 66 ½" tall and overall 38 3/8" wide. The marble top measures 17 ½" deep and is 38 3/8" wide. The dresser is 17" deep and 36 ½" wide. The beveled glass on the mirror measures 29 ½" wide and 23 ½" tall. The wheels make this furniture stand 2" off of the floor. One of the knots in the wood on the backside has a whole in it. We did not notice any cracks in the wood on this chest. It has wonderfully old patina and the brass hardware is stunning on the burl finish of the dovetailed drawers. There is a small area on the edge of glass where the mirror is worn; ... moreabout ¼" in diameter. There are some nicks and chips along the edge of the marble top. Regardless of any imperfections. European, Possibly Italian Item# 120008IRU26 This is a work of exquisite craftsmanship. Covered in a thick mahogany and rosewood veneer. The colors exemplified in this chest are simply remarkable. Inlaid with fine marquetry work, the musical instruments central to the commode are flanked on either side by books hanging from knotted ribbon. Two large drawers make up the case, each fully dovetailed front and back, exposed on the sides. Crisp gilt bronze mounts grace the corners and feet, allowing the cabriole legs to terminate in lion paw feet. The shaped marble top is heavy and in wonderful condition, restored at the back left corner. Circa 1890's American Empire Walnut Marble Top Chest ~ Dresser w Mirror
I am pleased to offer for sale this fine Classic American Empire Walnut Marble Top Dresser/ Chest with Mirror circa 1890's. This marble top dresser/ chest is gorgeous Walnut. This splendid dresser/ chest measures a total height of 67.5 inches to the top of the mirror. Height to the top of the glove boxes is 41 inches, a total width of 41.5 inches wide and 21 inches deep and weighs approximately 160 lbs. The gorgeous mirror is framed in Walnut and rests in matching arm supports, the width of the mirror frame measures 27 1/2 inches and the old original mirror measures 27 1/2 inches high by 15 1/2 inches wide. The mirror rests is a turned walnut slot on top of the center storage drawer flanked by top glove box drawers and a drop marble top center.The base offers three large storage drawers each having gorgeous burled walnut fronts, brass ... morepulls. The locks are intact but we do not have the key. This is a wonderful example of a Classic American Empire Marble Top Chest/ Dresser circa 1890's and is fine quality, solid and very sturdy and has a commanding presence all of its own! The cabinet door of the washstand is missing the hardware. However can easily be replaced. The washstand may have had a small back splash at one point in time.
