This fabulous early dresser is from Chicora Wood Plantation; an historical Rice plantation in South Carolina that was built in 1817. We believe this dresser to have its original rich finish. Original marble and mirror and the original early wood ring drawer pulls that are attached with wooden screws and blocks, and the original casters intact on the base. This high quality dresser has early dove-tailed construction on the dresser base top up under the marble and also on the drawer ends; and an old label with an original owners name handwritten with Chicora, SC written below on the base up under the marble. This dresser has a grand, majestic presence with incredible carvings and details; and amazingly left in its original state.you can almost feel the history in this piece when you touch it.incredible! This is the original finish and has held up very well.Very nice Dixie brand vintage Duncan Phyfe styled serpentine dresser also comes with a nice large mirror. Original labels on the back. All drawers work very well-sturdy-nothing broken. Finish is original and very nice still. Intricate pulls and knobs. The top has a few smudes and one of those is a very slight heat ring from a mug that is not immediately noticeable. These are not bad. But you may want the top touched up a little, therefore the lower price on this item. This is a great example of classic Hollywood Regency furniture and the brass handles and corners are very reminiscent of the campaign furniture Dixie is so well known for. This dresser measures 24 inches wide by 16-1/2 inches deep by 23-3/4 inches tall. It weighs 51 pounds which is what you would expect from a quality piece of furniture like this. Check out my! Solid oak Dixie dresser with trifold mirror
This dresser is solid wood and in great condition. We barely used it and no longer have the space for it. It has nine drawers which are all pretty deep and spacious. The trifold mirror attaches to the back of the dresser but can be unattached and and folded up for moving. Dixie company. Lots of storage in a six foot(72 inch) long dresser. The height is 32 1/2 inches and the depth is 21 inches at the widest. The Mirror is 50 inches x 39 inches and has amazing details with a scalloped trim. The mirror is fastened to the dresser with screws so it is secure. The top drawer on the left side is divided with a gentleman's tray for change. Wallet and jewelry such as tie clasp and watch. Dixie Highboy Dresser and Nightstand from the early 1900's
I have a nightstand and a Highboy and the price is for both. The Highboy is $375. Nightstand $250. I will sell separately. The Highboy is 6 drawer and is 53 x 36 x 18 and handmade out of Mahogany in very good condition. It also has wheels that can be used or removed. The matching nightstand is 26" tall and 16" deep with a drawer. These are beautiful pieces and all the hardware is there and the drawers open and close properly.
