It has three small pull out drawers on the inside with the middle drawer having a lift up mirror and there are three larger drawers below the desk area. The inside of the desk also has a couple of cubby shelves. If you look below the second shelf you can see someone has cut a small hole to pass cords through. I could not find any markers markings but I am guessing from other items in the house of this estate sale it is Danish and probably from the 60's or 70’s. It is of smaller proportions making it ideal for a smaller room. The approx. measurements are: 3’ 6½” tall/ 2’ 11” across the front and is 1’ 5¼” wide. There are a couple of very small little marks or bumps but nothing major and overall it is in Very Good used condition. This Would Be A Very Stylish Addition To Any Home! Rare Retro Danish Teak Wood Writing Desk With a Lift up Vanity Mirror Section From a local estate sale is this wonderful Teak Wood Desk. It can be used as a writing desk or a make-up vanity. It has three small pull out drawers on the inside with the middle drawer having a lift up mirror and there are three larger drawers below the desk area. The inside of the desk also has a couple of cubby shelves. If you look below the second shelf you can see someone has cut a small hole to pass cords through. I could not find any markers markings but I am guessing from other items in the house of this estate sale it is Danish and probably from the 60's or 70’s. Mid century vanity. Jew elry storage. Desk, dresser. Purchased in the late 60s. This is part of a set which also includes a 6 drawer dresser, listed separately. The drawers are dovetail joined. Des igned for Torrington Mobelfabrik by Nils Johnsson. It was manufactured by HJN Mobler. These items were purchased either at Modern Design in DC or at Scandinavian Design store. The piece measures 35 1/2 x 17 3/4 x 28 1/2" tall. The faux drawer top slides forward and opens to reveal a storage space inside with compartments and a removable wood box. The mirror is on the inside top and measures a little less than the top. There are two drawers below. Because the top slides fo rward it makes room for a person's knees. Brutalist Danish Modern Mid Century Teak Credenza Paul Evans? Sculptural Dresser
Brutalist Danish Modern Credenza with Headboard or Backboard This may be a Paul Evans peice I am not sure. He has one that looks very similar with different finish. This is a very unusual find. I can not find one like on google images or mid century sites. Nice credenza with three drawers, two doors with a single shelf in each cabinet. Drawers glide effortlessly and doors work well, I will be installing a new hinge on the left door which I did not do before the photos. That is why it has an uneven gap in the photos. The counter surface and face to this piece are in very good condition, nearly without blemish. The corners and base have more wear, to them. The finish is in really good shape as well as the structure. The left side as a noticeable gouge though it will probably go unnoticed as it is near the wall and floor, the left stile has ... morea chip on top and the bottom, not too noticeable with the stain over them, the far right has a minor chip to the bottom corner, not noticeable, there is a chip to the top right corner also, again not very noticeable. These veneered pieces are notorious for snagging and chipping in these places. The base had some splintering from catching on the floor in the past. I have fixed any loose pieces so that damage won't get worse. Put a little stain on them which makes them blend it well. As a former custom cabinet maker and finisher. This would all go unnoticed to me until I looked harder at the piece. I would say that it does not detract from the general appearance of the piece at all even more so because the brutalist style breaks up the lines so much. The board behind the piece is a headboard I believe. I set it up on the credenza for display and it is fitting there. You may have other preferences. It worked well for the photo though. This is in good shape with one screw hole on the top left corner. I know how it is to buy over a computer and I like to feel. These pieces from Vinde are fairly common and easy to identify as the logo on the back is a“V” over an“M” and it looks a bit like a“VW” car logo. Mid Century Danish Modern teak dresser designed by Borge Mogensen. Dimensions: 59" x 18" deep x 34" tall. The top has been professionally refinished. There are some minor fill-ins on the side corners as seen in pics 4& 5. Some slight teak oil spots barley seen in pic 9. All drawers work perfectly. This will ship freight. Peter Hvidt Mid Century Danish Modern Teak Cabinet Credenza Dresser Chest
Mid Century Danish Modern teak tamboured door cabinet designed by Peter Hvidt& Orla Molgaard-Nielsen for John Stuart. Measures: 35.5" wide x 19" deep x 37" tall. Please note there is only one shelf. I am not sure if this originally came with two shelves. There are shelf pins holes for both levels of the unit. The original shelf pins are missing. The shelf pins made today; 1/4" or 5mm. Do not fit these larger holes that are prominent on older Danish furniture. I made shelf pins from 5/16" wood dowels. You can see them in picture 3. They could be stained to match the wood if you wish. There are four small holes drilled from the back of this unit. As seen in picture 10. I assume whomever owned this piece previously used it as a media/entertainment center. The largest hole is slightly smaller than a dime. This piece ... moreis signed. Please se pic 11. Issues: Slight surface mark on top rim of cabinet in the middle. Approximately.5" long, as seen in pic 4. Small and light surface makr in center of left bottom quadrant door, as seen in pic 5, that is approximately 2" long. The top has a planter mark/circle that is approximately 7" in diameter, as seen in pic 8. There is another faint water circle approximately 3" in diameter in the back left area(looking at it) as seen in pic 7, but I can provide a better close up of this. The top also has numerous surface abrasions and darker markings as seen in pics 7& 9 in a close-up. There is a small nick less than.5" on the bottom right corner of the outer trim(looking at it) as seen in pic 6. If you are interested in more photographs please ask.
