RARE Vintage Heywood Wakefield Triple Dresser and Mirror Mid Century Modern
This is a beautiful and very rare circa 1950's Heywood Wakefield triple dresser with matching mirror and center fold down dressing butler drawer. It measures 64" wide. 19" deep and 32" high. The mirror measures 52.5" wide and 36.5" tall. The cabinet is stamped with the Heywood Wakefield logo and is stamped Toast on the back. It is in very good condition with some general wear to the edges, there is a small water stain in the front left corner of the top and some rub wear to the lower right edge in front of the leg(see closeups) It has very nice solid brass ball pulls with white backing washers, two of the pulls and three of the white backers are missing. Antique Vintage Dresser Bureau Vanity Beveled Mirror Serpentine Tiger NO RESERVE
I invite you to consider this Beautiful Turn of the Century American Oak Dresser and helping my family become more debt free at the same time! A wonderful example of fine artistry by American Furniture Makers. This beautiful dresser was purchased at an old estate auction and although a lot of items came from Germany. This belonged to a couple of sisters who moved here from Germany. I am pretty sure they probably purchased it here in America rather than bringing it with them. It does resemble typical American Oak Dressers of the time period- I would say somewhere in the neighborhood of the 1900-1920's. They were quite up in years and the dresser was quite old when they purchased it and I found an Old Catholic Confirmation Certificate(in English) dated 1910 rolled up with what appeared to be an old Marriage License(in German) The lovely ... moreBeveled Mirror is in Excellent condition for its age and is framed in a the beautiful Victorian tradition. Beveled Mirror attached well and swivels up or down. The Drawers feature the Grand Serpentine style. The drawers all lock and of course the original skeleton key is included. I am not sure however if the dresser’s knobs are original or not. The Dresser features the rare and beautiful Tiger Oak Construction. Quarter Sawn) The drawers are all in pretty fine condition. One drawer seems to want to go in further than it should but could be easily remedied. There is also a chip in the front edge of one of the left drawers. Here is a great vintage silver toned vanity set circa 1960's! The footed mirror vanity tray has four lipstick holders attached to the back. The silver tone is in good shape without any flaking. There is some rust on the interior part of the frame towards the front that can be seen in the photos. The front left has an area where it wore away. Solid piece. Footing attached well no wiggling. Bottom has original sticker reading"Carrousel" Measures 18 x 14 x 1.5 inches. Circa 1970's. This is a very cool vintage brass footed mirrored vanity tray. It has a basket weave edge and measures 14 x 9.5" and stands 2" tall. It's in very good condition! There are a few specs on the mirror where the silver backing has rubbed off but the mirror is easily replaced. The metal try is in great condition too! Nice vintage 1930s 1940s art deco style waterfall vanity/dresser with round mirror. It appears to have been fairly recently refinished except for the mirror. The knobs and handles have been painted. The veneer appears to have been replaced. It has dovetail joinings of the drawers. It is in fair condition-even though it has been refinished. It has some areas that need work. The veneer has some spots where it is not smooth and somewhat uneven and there are some depressions in it. There is a small gap between the middle dresser top and where the mirror attaches. The mirror has places around the edges where the silver is rubbing off. It has other various nicks, dents, and scratches consistent with its age. Vintage IMPERIAL Dresser and Matching Wall Mirror Set. Made by the Imperial Cabinet Co. of Los Angeles. California. Both pieces are signed with the Imperial name and King's Crown mark. The dresser and mirror are both hand painted and patterned in the desirable California Rancho, Spanish Revival, Western style that was so popular in the 1930's and 40's, and remains so today. Not only has their beauty and style lasted the test of time, but the superb craftsmanship and superior quality of the Imperial Cabinet Co. is also evident. This furniture was absolutely built to endure. After 70+ years, there are obviously going to be some imperfections here and there, all of which I believe simply add to their charm. I purchased this at an antique mall in Washington State about 12 years ago. It has been packed away. I thought it would make a great piece to mount on the wall for a unique display. It measures approx. 19" tall. 12 3/4" wide and 6" deep, has 3 working drawers, hand-painted blue flowers in several areas. The mirror is aged and it does swivel. One of the small drawers looks like it has melted crayon in it. I have taken pics of both.
