It has been previously refinished in ... morea beautiful finish with a satin sheen color. I would date this from around the 1880s. I don’t like to always say this, but it resembles a piece from Horner although I don’t believe it to be made by Horner. It is certainly a high-end quality piece. It has an extra heavily 1.25 bevel edge mirror that swivels and is in good condition. The mirror is wrapped around by a solid brown mahogany frame with carvings all the way around, rope twist going up and the very top corners having angels carved in both sides. The base has a beautiful rose quartz bevel edge marble top. The miniature knobs on the base look like miniature doorknobs.

By 5" deep and almost 6" tall and features a portrait of a pretty girl with a flower gathering basket. Top portion is hinged. There is a pull out drawer beneath. Inside is lined in light blue satin which is in bad condition-see photos. There is also a key inside the drawer. Which makes me wonder if this was originally a music box. Beautiful late 1800s British Victorian mahogany dresser top vanity mirror. Made of mahogany veneers. Solid mahogany and pine secondary woods. The piece has two pull-out drawers and a center storage area with lid. Overall measurement is 25 1/4" wide x 31 1/2" tall x 12 3/4" deep. Finish is in very good condition. Brought back from England in the early 1970s. Weight is 23 lbs. MIRROR: Swivels on two brass hinges which can be opened to remove mirror. Mirror can be accessed by removing wood panel on back. Which is held in place by simple brass turn latches. for sale a wonderful pierced carved victorian rococo walnut dresser vanity or possibly a shaving stand. depends on what you want as to what you call it. it is a great piece presented in original finish with wonderful patina. it is in near mint condition with the exception of a small repair. Looks as if screws have been replaced on one of the back swivel mount pieces. there are no weakness or problem and the function is perfect, but it has been tweaked a bit. it is 30 inches wide and sits on great carved rococo feet. the base has three hinged caskets for whatever you want to put in them. it is 12 inches deep, extending one inch behind the mirror base. the mirror base and harp are of wonderful form and design. the base and harp are pierced carved in the finest fashion. it is 33 inches in overall height. the harp houses an oval frame which contains ... morethe original mirror that is nearly perfect. there is the minutest amount of sliver loss. these are hard to find especially in the shape this one is in. the three caskets are a 9.5 inch oval in the center and two 6.5 inch round ones on either side of the central oval one. someone will be proud to own this great piece. it may be picked up at my home and shipped at buyer's expense. i have owned about 4 of these in 40 years, none any nicer than this one, but all sold for a lot more than i am starting this one at. i had one that i had a little dresser base for it to sit on. it sold for about 3000 a few years back. anyway, if you are on your toes you can get a bargain here. a rare and fair find and wonderful in every way.

Hello- This is a very special True Victorian Hairbrush Mirror from at the LATEST 1850! The Amber-Yellow glass indicates this. And is never reproduced. When looking into the Etched Amber Glass, Your face is surrounded by the flowers just like my camera is if you can imagine, and your face has an amber glow. I placed it on the 50's mirror so that you can see the difference in the glass's. The big round mirror is part of the set. The Victorian Curling is genuine, I'm not positive of it's age, But these were used even into the 1920's. The brush measures approx. 10" long x 3 1/3" at the widest. And has a wooden brush area to hold the bristles. The metal is a bit tarnished from age, a magnet does not stick to it and I don't know what kind of metal it is. this is an extremely rare high end victorian handmade dresser box. the charm on the top is held by swirled bronze arms and is in a nice oval shape. its made from. Sterling silver with a wonderfully detailed blue guilloche enamel with a bone inlay and the border is a nicely carved faux tortoise shell in a bronze setting. the back has an oval hand hammered bronze floral design. the box is beautifully footed with very ornate swirled feet. the boxes sides have a great checkered raised pattern and is hand riveted to the bronze box with great copper rivets. it opens on a hinge in the back and the bottom lining is a light brown linen with a nice roping trim. the piece has a great patina from age. the bottom of the box is made from leather that has some ware as well as the top of the checkered box and front of the oval pendant. but overall in good ... moreshape for age. measures 4 3/4 by 4 3/4 by 2 3/4 inches extremely rare victorian handmade box. Fabulous Victorian barbola dresser box or letter box in gorgeous shabby green with pink roses on the lid and gold highlights. Old green felt interior and red felt on the bottom. Chippy paint all over the bottom of the box. But all the relief work is still perfect. You can see the dust of age in the crevices. If someone wanted to repaint the sides, it would look like new except for the one corner which has a small amount of damage. The felt at the corner is hanging down a bit so it looks worse than it really is. If you wanted to reglue that bit, it wouldn't appear as noticeable, but I wanted to show everything. The top is made of wood and the whole box is rather heavy, about 4 lbs. The box measures approx 7 1/2" x 10 1/2" x 3 1/2" Overall, it is a stunning example of barbola. From the design, style, construction and patina I would guess the rest dates from 1840-1890. I had some Brass fire tools and a companion set all designed by The famous Victorian designer Dr. Christopher Dresser. The ends had beehive finials and orbs similar in design to the tops of this fire-dog tool rest and the firedog rest set the tools off nicely in the hearth. This unusual horseshoe shaped mirror is intended for dresser or table use. It has two 3/4" brass ball feet and a hinged prop-arm stand to hold it upright. It has a 1 3/4" wide frame. I'm not sure of the wood. But it's tight-grained with the original finish& appears to be possibly cherry or mahogany. This mirror stands 12 1/4" tall and is 10 1/2" in width at its widest point. The frame is approximately 3/4" in thickness. The mirror has a 1" bevelled edge and its area measured to the frame rabbet is 7" W. x 8 1/2"H. The prop is 8" L& 1 1/2 W. The mirror shows some small areas of silver loss and the frame has some minor finish damage at the edges. But over-all, it is in very good antique condition. A very pretty pair of antique Victorian dresser boxes. The boxes have unusual wood lids each of which is adorned with a sterling silver medallion with a Floral motif. They are both marked"STERLING" The bottoms are glass with a paneled design. Each jar measures 1 3/4" in diameter x 1 3/8" high. Both jars are in very good overall condition. Vtg Antique Victorian Bulbous Cut Glass Vanity Dresser Jar Wooden Lid Powder
This very refined Victorian Jar has been in our family for decades ~ my Mother kept pine needles and dried violets in it. And, what a treat it was to join her at her vanity dresser and be allowed to remove the lid, and smell the garden inside. Jar measures 3-1/2" wide x 3-1/2" tall. As you can see the wooden lid(appears to be walnut) has wee wormholes. Which was not unusual on antiques this old. Inside the lid. Appears to be a final coating? paper mache? The design in the glass is remarkable ~ a stripe of dual large circles. Then a stripe of a trio of jagged edge(sawtooth) And the creme de creme is the large flora design on the bottom. This pull is highly detailed and can actually be used as a decoration above the drawers. This pull came off a dresser that had been in an old house from the University of Washington district. An old part of Seattle. Condition: Hardware is in good condition but is missing handle and screws. There is wonderful patina and on the back there is a gold color visible. Measurements: There is the standard three inches between bolts with the pull measuring four full inches. The pull is about 1 ½ inches tall and 4 inches wide. Antique Victorian Nickel Plated Shaving Mirror circa 1800’s This item is a beautiful 1800's Antique Victorian Nickel Plated Swivel Shaving Beveled Mirror which has been in our antique collection since the early 1970’s. It is adjustable in height simply by unscrewing the thumb screw and extending or lowering the upper"telescopic" section. The mirror swivels 180 degrees. It is structurally very sound. Condition is very good for an item from the 1800’s with some very minor spots of corrosion here and there which I believe could be polished out. I did not polish this item as many collectors appreciate and prefer a naturally aged patina. If you prefer to shine it up you can polish it out with some silver cleaner and it will clean up beautifully. The beveled mirror has some aged damage to the silvering but the silvering in general ... moreis very clear save these damaged areas. You can take this beveled mirror to a glass shop for re-silvering and polishing if you desire. The base has some small dings. Surface scratches and some minor corrosion. There are levels of Eastlake furniture produced in the late 1800's and this piece is definitely up at the top in terms of quality and craftsmanship. Also the woods that were used. This is a large piece measuring 54" wide x 85" tall x 25 1/2" deep. There is a HEAVY solid slab of beveled edged white marble that is 48" wide x 22" deep x 1" thick and does not just rest on top but sits in its own custom perfect fit carved edged seat. This piece of marble weighs about 100 lbs itself. The first drawer opens to a solid piece of burl or birdseye maple. That is a sign of quality as that was an expensive wood. The two drawer pulls in the top drawer are original. There are four larger pulls that were used in the two lower drawers but are missing pieces. I have purchased and installed four reproduction pulls and will include the pieces of the originals in case you ever want to try to locate matching one but even a nice set of Victorian Eastlake teardrop pulls that do come up often would work if you don't like these repros. You are looking at two antique table runner/piano scarf. They are both velvet with fringe. I am selling both for one money. Size of the large is 33 by 17 not counting fringe. One fringe is 8 inch on large scarf. The smaller one is 22 by 8 inches not counting fringe. One fringe is 5 inches on the smaller scarf. The larger scarf has a couple of spots, I tried to take pictures, no holes that I can see, pretty good condition for age. Colors are great. These velvet scarfs were popular in the victorian era.

Up for Auction is some beautiful Antique Victorian Furnitire from Tobey Furniture of Chicago. This furniture was originally built for Ohio C Barberton a Prominent business man in Ohio. Upon his passing my Grandfather acquired this furniture from his estate sale. It was passed on to me over the years but I have no use for it. It is very nice and very big and heavy. Art nouveau Antique Victorian Dresser Drawer Pull Handle Brass & Iron
This pull has an ornate back plate of brass with an iron bale/pull. The photos show the front and the back sides. The measurements of just the back plate is 4 3/4" wide by 1 1/2" high.
