It is made of walnut, with burled rosewood accents. The side mirrors pivot at adjustable angles. The bottom front of the dresser on the left side as you face it is broken off and needs to be repaired. Some of the original wooden drawer pulls are missing as well. There is a glove box inside one of the small drawers, and there are some spare parts that will be shipped with the dresser, including some extra casters. Antique Tilting Dresser SHAVING Mirror TIGER OAK Wood VICTORIAN 1880 Round Frame
Antique Tiger Oak Victorian Era c.1880 Round Shaving Mirror- On Tilting Frame- DESCRIPTION A handsome antique shaving mirror on tilting stand. Made entirely of solid tiger oak grained wood. The mirror frame, tilting arms, base and round ball feet all with beautiful graining visable. This one is from the late Victorian era circa 1880's. It's in original untouched condition, not refinished. It also retains the original mirror glass and backing for the round mirror. The round mirror frame is 1" wide and has a deep beveled edge. The two arms have knobs at the sides that can be loosened allowing you to tilt the framed mirror portion. Tightening the knob will then hold it in that fixed position. The arms have lovely turnings and are mortised through the wide shaped chamferred edge base. The base has four round ball feet. We've ... moreleft this as found. We have not polished or refinished the wood it is completly original. Shows good wear, but no splits or cracks or breaks in the wood. And we have not removed the original mirror glass from the frame. As expected with mirror glass of this age, it does show wear to the silvering. Of course, if you like, you could replace the mirror with contemporary mirror glass. We like it just the way it is. Showing it's good age. Size: 12-1/4" high overall- 15-3/4" long and 5-1/2" wide at the base- mirror frame measures 9-3/4" across CONDITION Very Good. The wood has not been refinished. Made in England Circa 1860 Mahogany Four old veneer repairs Age separations to sides Unusual feet Sturdy Victorian period antique, This unique Victorian period antique dresser has many unusual features which make it a really interesting find. While these features are unusual they do come together nicely on this chest of drawers. While many chests that were made during the Victorian period(English circa 1860) are bow fronted. This chest is more of what we refer to as a“D” shaped front. This shape allows the antique dresser to have some very nice, smooth ... morecolumns down the sides while providing more elegance than a straight front. The wood used in construction is a particularly gorgeous flame mahogany that really pops on the drawer fronts and top. You will want to put this chest where it can be seen because it will wow all of your visitors. The mahogany is further enhanced with a very thick mahogany cross band on the top and some rosewood inlay on the edge of the top. Another unique feature of this chest of drawers is the feet. The feet are a curved. Shaped foot that is inlaid with rosewood in the middle. I doubt you will find another dresser out there with these same feet! All of the signs of high quality construction are present in this piece. The drawers have hand cut dovetails both in the front and back of the drawers. The finish is a gorgeous hand rubbed French polish that will last for many years. You will see four well done veneer repairs on the front of the chest in between the drawers(they appear as dark areas in between the drawers) These are old repairs that were well done. Antique Victorian Drop Center Marble Top Dresser w/ Pivot Mirror
A very cute little dresser brought up from Georgia to the Asheville NC area 20 years ago. Judging from the style and the candle shelves on either side. Late 19th Century. Features the original marble. Clean and unbroken, the original antique mirror, all of the original drawer pulls of figured brass, and the original casters. Original finish- has not been stripped. Stands about 80 inches high and 16 inches deep- it is a smallish piece and stands nice and shallow out from the wall- perfect for a small guest room or an accent to a large room. I'm not certain. But the wood is probably walnut. The five drawers all work just fine and have unusual'round peg dovetailing' construction(shown above in a detail shot) The hardware is ALL original EXCEPT that the bolts that originally held the pivoting mirror have been replaced by heavy screws. ... moreWhich doesn't affect the look of it too much(and they could be fairly inexpensively restored with something vintage) The mirror section is removable to facilitate moving. A very handsome piece. With minimal scratches and wear. The hand-carved details are a bit on the rustic side and not terribly fussy or'polished' workmanship. Almost folk arty. It is a solid piece and nice and usable still, with a decidedly'country' feel to it. The piece is actually quite light once the drawers are pulled out for transport and is not too heavy to lift at all. I love the carved details and personality of the thing! I do not want to ship it if I can help it- would prefer local sale. We live in Mars Hill. North Carolina, just 20 minutes from Asheville and easy directions to find us. I can help move it as well. this is a very rare antique victorian ornate red collar and cuff link vanity box. it is wrapped with some sort of red pressed hard leather and has a wonderfully ornate design. the face has two ornate brass clasps and has nice raised lettering saying"CUFFS" with a nice gold gilt. and"COLLARS" at the top with two floating cherubs above. the box has two compartment lined with pink linen lining that open in an innovative way. the top compartment has a round spot in the middle with a glass corked jar. the collars would wrap around the circular recessed jar holder. the top part of the box opens as well and exposes the bottom compartment which could be used for other vanity items. the box is in pretty good shape for age. some lining is worn inside and some small chips on the outer edges. refer to pics. it Thank you for visiting"Dusty ... moreTreasures" and please feel free to browse through my online ebay store where you can find several more wonderful items similar to this. This bureau belonged to my grandmother. Unfortunately. I do not have space for it any longer. I believe this is"Victorian Eastlake" It is in very good original condition with original hardware. Sold as is. No one has painted, refinished or otherwise tampered with it. There was never a mirror from the time my grandmother acquired it. Local pick-up only! Dimensions are: 51 inches wide. 19 inches front to back and 33 inches at the tallest point. It is a large piece and heavy but the side sections with small drawers and the marble pieces come off for moving. Probably best to have a van or large-ish SUV to move it.

Antique Victorian Small Dresser Shaving Vanity Mirror Dome Topped Wood Frame
Very heavy for its size Victorian dome topped beveled mirror with wooden frame. The mirror has the shape and looks of a vanity or dresser mirror. We cannot see however any evidence on the sides that it was indeed suspended inside a base or stand. The wooden frame is domed at the top and curved at the corners without any visible joints any where that we can see. We are not sure what kind of wood the frame is made of but our guess based on its color is"cherry" The back of the mirror is almost entirely covered with a heavy flat piece of wood which is screwed at the edges holding the mirror in place. The mirror is beveled and looks very old and hand cut. The normal age stains or discoloration are showing through. And these only add to its character. The wood frame is in very good antique condition with only two areas showing a small ... morehairline crack. These are hardly visible.
