Beautiful Turn of the Century American Oak Dresser Up for your consideration: A wonderful example of fine artistry by American Furniture Makers. This beautiful dresser was purchased at an old estate auction and although a lot of items came from Germany. This belonged to a couple of sisters who moved here from Germany. I am pretty sure they probably purchased it here in America rather than bringing it with them. It does resemble typical American Oak Dressers of the time period- I would say somewhere in the neighborhood of the 1900-1920's. They were quite up in years and the dresser was quite old when they purchased it and I found an Old Catholic Confirmation Certificate(in English) dated 1910 rolled up with what appeared to be an old Marriage License(in German) The lovely Beveled Mirror is in Excellent condition for its age and is framed ... morein a the beautiful Victorian tradition. Beveled Mirror attached well and swivels up or down. The Drawers feature the Grand Serpentine style. The drawers all lock and of course the original skeleton key is included. I am not sure however if the dresser’s knobs are original or not. The Dresser features the rare and beautiful Tiger Oak Construction. Quarter Sawn) The drawers are all in pretty fine condition. One drawer seems to want to go in further than it should but could be easily remedied. There is also a chip in the front edge of one of the left drawers. The Dovetail construction does a fine job illustrating the dresser’s age as they appear to be have been handmade. Please examine photos carefully. I do offer shipping by freight at buyers expense. It is nicely footed with corner guards top and bottom with decorative emblems on the top and front. Truly a classic. The mirror opens up with a latch at the top, and the drawer slides out from behind shut doors on the front. The drawer and the inside wear the mirror folds into has fabric on the bottom. The case is large measuring 14” long by 9 ½” inches wide by 8” tall; the mirror when folded out is 13” high by 8” wide and ... moreis beveled nice quality. The drawer measures 10” long by 7 ½” inches wide by about 3 ¼” inches deep and has fabric on the bottom as does the compartment for the mirror. The compactness of this is quite remarkable and works as a makeshift vanity in any setting. We believe the wood is mahogany and has a finish almost like rosewood. The finish is in excellent condition as is the whole piece. The lower right hinge on the left hand door is missing its fasteners for some reason but that is the only flaw. This was purchased in Korea in the early 70’s and was an older piece then. So not sure of the age but the quality it very good. Weighs about 6 lbs. Antique Dresser All Oak. White Marble Excellent Condition Beveled Mirrors Offered is a beautiful oak dresser or vanity. The outstanding feature is the white marble top and it is in mint condition. This is remarkable considering it's age. The dresser has 3 parts- the mirror assembly. The marble mid-section, and the oak base cabinet. The mirror is attached with 2 wooden rear slats which extend to the base cabinet& screws that hold it rigid. The marble rests on the base. It is solid and sturdy. It stands evenly on the floor. The buyer can take this dresser home& use it, guaranteed to have a major effect on a room when it comes to decorating. Guaranteed antique- not a reproduction. This will retain value- about 100 years old, perhaps more. DESCRIPTION: The dresser has a 3section mirrored top consisting of a frame with arching top ... moremolding with a carved horizontal over 1/4 round fluted side columns. The center miror is stationary with side mirrors that are hinged& swing out almost 180 degrees. All mirrors have wide bevels. Excellent silvering without blemishes. The marble section is white with a thin grey lines from the stone. It is not composit or manufactured stone. It is clean, no chips, no repairs. The mirror rests on the rear of the top shelf which is over a marble galleried backsplash and opposing side sections. The flat top surface is clean& smooth white marble, all marble is matching and original to the piece. The base cabinet has 2 pull out drawers over 2 swing out doors which open to a large interior with a center horizontal shelf. The base has 1/4 round fluted columns which match the mirror and a center vertical with carving and a burled oval decoration. The pulls are brass, the locks work, a key is provided. The dresser is clean inside, the drawers are not stained, there are no odors, was not stored in a damp location(it's in our house) the drawers slide easily, locks work, this is a nice piece of furniture. Vintage Art Deco Hand/vanity Mirror (bakelite/lucite/celluloid/acwalite ?)
Beautiful vintage art deco hand/vanity mirror. The name of the manufacturer( on the inside of the handle is"Aristo du jour" I am not absolutely certain of the material but think either bakelite. Lucite, acwalite, or celluloid. It is a green marblish finish. As you can see from my different pictures the color of the mirror appears to vary some-which is due to the lighting in the two different places I photographed the mirror. It is closer to the color of pictures 2-4 when you zoom in on them. The mirror is in good condition with only two very minor slightly blurred places(the larger of the two certainly being smaller than a dime) These do not interfere with the reflection. I love the patina on this-the art deco design is somewhat worn on the handle-exactly where you would expect it to be for an object that was used. Overall, it is ... morevery good condition. This is for an antique sterling silver mirror. Vanity hand with a beveled mirror. Marked with Sterling and a hallmark which I am not sure of. The silver shows some damage with dings. Dents and a small separation at the mirror(see last pic) Mirror has a few spots. There is a spot on back which is nothing but an old sticker. Didn't know what product to use to take it off. Monogram looks like B C W? Measures 13 1/2" long. The center looks like the leaf of an oak and the end has what looks like a leaf and acorn. Little tarnish and will need cleaned and polished.

Antique armoire dresser and vanity with bench and mirror. This bedroom set was originally purchased in northern New York. St. Lawrence County where it was kept for over 60 years. It has been stored at my home in Florida for about 10 years. The condition is very good considering the age of the pieces. There is some surface damage to both pieces. The large mirror needs to have the glass replaced and the caning on the bench is broken in one small area. Otherwise, all of the wood is intact. Other photos are available if requested. All silverplate has come off through the years so it's down to the bare white metal in places. This auction is for a large 7 piece TIFFANY& Co. sterling silver vanity set. Including 3 brushes, a large mirror, shoehorn, and two cases, each with lid. The set weighs 2 pounds, 11 ounces, or 1218 grams total. Overall, the set is in fine condition, with monogram& light cosmetic wear: The white paint on the inside of the brushes is partly worn away(typical for most early grooming pieces) The large brush is missing two inserts of hair. The mirror has a few small scratches and tiny dings on the outside. Inside, there is very small scratch in the middle, a little faint abraiding, but is still a beautiful clear mirror to hold, and look into, with wonderful octagonal beveled glass siding. ANTIQUE VICTORIAN HORSESHOE FRAME - BEVELLED VANITY - DRESSER MIRROR c.1800s
This unusual horseshoe shaped mirror is intended for dresser or table use. It has two 3/4" brass ball feet and a hinged prop-arm stand to hold it upright. It has a 1 3/4" wide frame. I'm not sure of the wood. But it's tight-grained with the original finish& appears to be possibly cherry or mahogany. This mirror stands 12 1/4" tall and is 10 1/2" in width at its widest point. The frame is approximately 3/4" in thickness. The mirror has a 1" bevelled edge and its area measured to the frame rabbet is 7" W. x 8 1/2"H. The prop is 8" L& 1 1/2 W. The mirror shows some small areas of silver loss and the frame has some minor finish damage at the edges. But over-all, it is in very good antique condition. The handle measures 7" from the base to the tip. Marked Sterling. There is a place where this piece could be monogramed. The face of the mirror has some hazy spots. I did not try to clean it. It is nicely footed with corner guards top and bottom with decorative emblems on the top and front. Truly a classic. The mirror opens up with a latch at the top, and the drawer slides out from behind shut doors on the front. The drawer and the inside wear the mirror folds into has fabric on the bottom. The case is large measuring 14” long by 9 ½” inches wide by 8” tall; ... morethe mirror when folded out is 13” high by 8” wide and is beveled nice quality. The drawer measures 10” long by 7 ½” inches wide by about 3 ¼” inches deep and has fabric on the bottom as does the compartment for the mirror. The compactness of this is quite remarkable and works as a makeshift vanity in any setting. We believe the wood is mahogany and has a finish almost like rosewood. The finish is in excellent condition as is the whole piece. The lower right hinge on the left hand door is missing its fasteners for some reason but that is the only flaw. This was purchased in Korea in the early 70’s and was an older piece then. So not sure of the age but the quality it very good. Weighs about 6 lbs. 1920's Art Nouveau Putti Man in the Moon Vanity Mirror Silver Pewter
Nouveau Mirror Art Nouveau period vanity or boudoir mirror measures about 5.5" in diameter and features the man in the moon with an angel. Cherub or putti figure tickling the moon's nose. Putti are those plump little naked boys that one often sees in Renaissance. Mannerist, Baroque and Rococo art. Typically, a putto the singular form, depicts an angel or cherub in a religious scene, but he may also come in the form of Cupid. In either case, a putto's presence symbolizes love, whether Divine or of a more earthly nature. The base and mirror come apart in 2 pieces. The stand is made from pewter or base metal. I believe it is silver plated. It has original patina which is dark and I would assume could be polished if you like. The design is raised or embossed and the detail is very nice. Vintage Old Victorian Cherub Angel Gold Metal Beveled Dresser Vanity Mirror NR!
This auction is for a great estate sale find of a victorian style free standing dresser or vanity mirror. It is a larger size and very heavy! It is a gold colored metal and very ornate with cherub or angels on each side of the bottom part. The condition is great for its age no chips or cracks. It does have scratches to the mirror and age related wear to the metal. There is no cloudiness to the mirror only light scratches! It is also missing one screw that holds the back plate in place. I am certain it was there when I purchased the mirror but by the time I got it home it must have worked loose and fallen out. My husband put in a replacement screw that serves the purpose but you can tell it is not original. It does not show from the front so it does not affect the display. At the time of the pics I had not noticed the screw was missing so ... moreI did not get pics of the replacement. It measures 15 1/2" high and 12" wide. It weighs over 5 lbs. pre-packaging so shipping will be a bit high! It is all metal except for the mirror including the back plate and stand. It has no marks that I see. It is a beautiful old mirror and the age related wear only adds to its charm. It will make a lovely addition to your vintage or victorian style decor. If you have any questions please ask. Gorham Sterling Silver Hand Mirror Vanity Dresser No Monogram
Hallmarked Lion. Anchor, Gorham"G" in a shield, Sterling, C642 No monograms. Measures 9 1/2" by 4 1/2" The bevelled mirror is a little loose in the frame. A little off center, has a few dark spots behind the glass on the edge, but reflects fine and is useable. There are a few dents around the edge. There are no dents on the back and middle area of the sterling and there are no wear holes. Hello. antique federal mahogany heavily carved vanity dolphins for base and mirror harp
for auction is a wonderful federal heavily carved mahogany vanity built circa 1850. this is a great piece has wonderful claw feet with winged extensions all the way around. A beveled and contoured base, with dolphins supporting the cabinet portion of the vanity. the mirror is oval and the mirror harp is two wonderfully carved dolphins that comprise the harp. the drawer as you can see is hand chamfered with hand cut dovetails indicative of it's age. there are a few minor blemishes, none large enough to photograph and only add to the patina of this great piece. there is a small amount of veneer missing from the back of the right hand dolphins as you face the vanity. it is on the back and can't be seen, it can barely be seen from the back, i took a picture of it for the listing. i hope the picture tell anything else about the vanity ... morethat might interest you. if you have questions or need additional photos i will be glad to supply them. item may be picked up at my home or shipped at the buyers expense. good luck. g.RcmdId ViewItemDescV4,RlogId p4%60bo7%60jtb9%3Fuk%601d72f%2Bjw%60hquvg%3Eg-13fc21eb9c6-0xed-

Art Deco Bedroom Set Vanity w/ oval mirror, dresser, twin bed.
This is my great grandfathers and grandmothers bedroom set. It is from the late 20s. The dresser and vanity are in nice shape. There is a tiny bit of trim missing from the top right corner of the vanity. You can see it in the pictures. The full size bed holds a queen size mattress. As I show in my pictures. There is some water damage to the left front footboard, as you can see in the pictures, the veneer is lifting off a bit. A good wood person could repair this. There you go.
