Early 20th C Ornate Brass Beveled Vanity Wall Mirror & Towel Rod Holder 9" x 14"
Item No. 7911 WE DEEM THIS ONE OF OUR FAVORITE ITEMS FOR STYLE AND VALUE. THIS IS AN OLD. PREVIOUSLY-OWNED ITEM. as such, it has wear from use and age, primarily oxidation to the metal including some darkening, some original finish losses like protective coatings, and some verdigris(primarily on the ends, but scattered throughout- please examine the photos for the scattered green) a little wood loss to the backing. Early 20th Century ORNATE OPENWORK BRASS WALL MIRROR with TOWEL ROD. Or towel holder. The pattern on this heavy piece is just lovely- consisting of acanthus leaves in several different patterns, hanging, twising, scrolling, wrapping- and a few grapes, other leaves with tiny berries, roped acanthus leaves around the mirror, with a center apex stylized to resemble a crown and shield. The oval mirror has a wide, smooth bevel and is ... morein good shape with a little darkening, but no apparent silvering losses. We find no marks, but suggest the piece might be French in origin. This was hung by screws utilizing the two holes for that purpose in the lower portion. And one screw on either side of the top center shield area. It was quite secure. You might also have your local framer attach a hanging wire to the back for a more simple method of hanging. About 9" tall at the center. 2" tall on the rod sides, 14" widest, mirror is 8-1/4" x 4-1/2" and the width of the mirror extends to 11-1/4" at the decorative posts on the sides. The inside length of the rod is about 13-1/2" and the distance from the inside back of the piece to the inside edge of the rod is about 1-1/8" A useful and very attractive accessory for the powder room. Beveled mirrors and brass hardware as well as the original velvet top on the storage area below the center mirror, and the original casters intact on the base.This splendid dressing vanity features great storage areas as well as the triple dressing mirrors that can be adjusted to different angles.just a fabulous piece for a dressing room or bedroom. This vanity measures 72 1/2 inches in height from the floor to the top of the cheval mirror at the center. Height from the floor to the top of the sides with the four drawers measures 32 inches, with a total width of 74 inches with the mirrors at the sides opened,50 ... moreinches wide with the mirrors folded back, with a total depth front to back of 20 3/4 inches and this piece weighs approximately 135 lbs total but does disassemble into 6 pieces for easier handling during shipping and moving. For auction is an exquisite Sterling Silver 3 Piece Vanity Set by Gorham in original case. This set was purchased at an Estate Auction and has been very lightly cleaned for the pics. It is pattern#23 with heavy floral carving. The mirror is appx 9.5” x 4.5” inside with the brush appx. 8.25" x 3” and the comb 7.75" long. All three pieces are stamped Gorham. Sterling, 23. This set is not monogrammed and in perfect used, displayed condition. I did not see any dings, breaks or scuffs. I don't detect any, but I would imagine if there were any light scratches, they would buff out when polished. I did find three hair brush bristles out of place(sticking out to the side) No teeth are missing on the comb but four teeth are slightly curved. Vintage Sterling Silver Vanity Brushes and Mirror Art Nouveau
This is a lot of vintage Art Nouveau sterling silver vanity brushes and a mirror. The set does not have a silver company hallmark. But are all stamped with"Sterling. Also, the set is engraved with the letters"M. B. All together the set is in very good condition with minor flaws. The mirror's silver is a little bit bent around the circular edges of the mirror. Also, as seen in the photographs, there is some sticker residue on the mirror, however age spots are minimal and very small. The larger of the two brushes has some visible glue, where someone might have attempted to glue the brush into the sterling frame, as it is a little bit loose around the edges. The smaller of the two brushes is in very good condition and is just a little bit loose in the sterling frame. I did polish these with silver polishing cloth, but there is ... morestill tarnishing, especially in the recesses of the pattern and the small dents in the sterling. The measurements for each piece are as follows; mirror is 9 1/4" long and 5" wide. Larger brush is 9" long and 2 3/4" wide, and the smaller brush is 5 1/2" long and 1 3/4" wide. 1920's La Coquette Vanity Hand Mirror Monogramed eTm Hallmarked Vintage Bakelite
For your considerstion is this Vintage. Bakelite, 1920's La Coquette Vanity Hand Mirror, Monogramed eTm. The colors are Black on the Monogramed Side& Yellow on the mirror side. The hallmark La Coquette is just under the mirror justas the handle tapers. There are some surface scratches on the black and on the mirror, not sure if these could be buffed. This is in the Vintage, Natural State, untouched by polish. As you can see in my listing pictures the monogram has a arrow coming down from the letter T. The monogram is etched in to the Bakelite. Overall measurements are: 14 1/4" tall x 6 1/2" wide at the mirror. Handle narrows to 7/8" from the mirror& tapers out to 1 3/8" wide 1/4" thickness. Base is 5 1/2" by 5 1/2" T his is a wonderful piece of Victorian art that was very popular in the late 1800's. I was told th at the Golden MFG company factory was destroyed by a fire in 1905. Vintage silver metallic pedestal base vanity/dresser mirror with ornate designs all over which include the Greek God of the sea Poseidon at the bottom, a goddess face on the top, mermaids on the sides, as well as cherubs, owls, etc. Its composition looks like a molten silver nugget with black accents in the recesses. It retains an old foil label on the red velvet back(a bit soiled) which contains words that look Slavik. I can partially make out" Tepmon?actnKA naH4EBO. The mirror frame m easures 18 1/4" tall and 11 1/4" across the widest part. The inner mirror itself measures 7 1/2 by 8 1/2" This fabulous vintage pedestal mirror is in very good condition with just one small silver"line" ... moreon the top right side of the mirror(See last photo) A minute, very thin amount of silvering to the inner-most edge of the mirror(couldn't even get it to show up in a photo; really contained behind the edge of the frame) and the previously mentioned bit of discoloration to the red velvet backing. This is all extremely minor and does not detract in the least. This beautiful, vintage pedestal mirror displays wonderfully. Pictures were taken with and without a flash to best illustrate the true color and details. Any white or bright spots are light reflections. SHIPPING: I charge the actual shipping cost only. Vintage Swivel Vanity Dresser Mirror with Drawer Ornate Victorian Style
Beautiful swivel dresser mirror with drawer bought by my grandparents in the early 1950's. Measures 21 1/2" tall. 16 1/2" wide and 8" deep. I believe it is walnut, but I'm not sure. The finish is walnut. The wood above the mirror has decorative carving. Ornate spindles with antique brass knobs/turns hold the mirror. In nice condition with a bit of wear and scratches. Those spots can be touched up with Old English Scratch Cover. Or some other kind of wood restorer, or the whole piece can be painted for a shabby look. Brass needs cleaning. With each piece holding what appears to be an Amethyst Stone bezel set and faceted. The chase work are small florals. And the whole effect is just Charming to see. Not to mention it's a whole lot of Sterling Silver, with each piece marked as such, with the word"Pat'd" as well. The Mirror weighs a entire pound. I guess because of the glass, but it also measures a full 9 1/2" long, and 5 1/4" across. The Hair Brush is 9 1/4" and 2 1/4" across,while the clothes brush is 6 1/2" long x 2" across. The button hook. Shoe horn and manicure file are all around 6 to 7" There are some dings. From an estate in NW Indiana comes this unusual round mirror. It is approximately 12" in diameter; has 3"feet" for placing on a dresser or vanity; also has a built in hook to use for hanging on a wall. The edges are beveled; the"dots" which appear to be raised are not raised on the surface. It does have some issues with the metal frame as there is one area where it is crimped outwards and some discoloration and black spots have developed on the mirror. Does need a gentle cleaning. Presented is my 1900's Antique Art Deco Vanity Mirror. Sorry for the bad photos but I am currently using it until mine arrives. It is in really good condition. The mirror is 46W x 56H. The glass has some smudges but can be cleaned. It is ridiculously heavy so I cannot ship and must be picked up. The wood is in good condition with tiny character scratches.
