This is a wonderful deco-style vanity chest with a triple double-edge batwing mirror top and a burl walnut base that dates from the 1940s ... moreor‘50s. Out of England. The overall size of this great-looking piece is 44 inches wide, 20 inches deep, 29 inches high to the vanity and 64 inches to the top of the mirror. There is a solid walnut carved crest on top of the mirror, and burl walnut veneer covers the entire cabinet, including veneered sides. The piece is in fantastic condition, and we have refinished the top of the cabinet to expose the beautiful veneers. There are three dovetail drawers across the base, and the chair opening size is 17 inches wide and 21 inches high. Ltd. and is on loan to the user as custodian bailee. The oak cabinet is approx. 22 3/8” x 16” x 5 ¾” It has three shelves. The top section I used to hold Kleenex tissues. I especially like the door with the Red Cross symbol. It has Initial Office of First Aid Outfit painted on it. There are ventilation holes at the top and bottom of the cabinet. Some of the silver is lightly worn on the mirror which gives it that vintage charm I so love. The original finish is in excellent ... morevintage aged condition. There is a split in one section of the wooden towel bar which is not usual for it vintage age and usage. It can be hung with the two round hooks at the top. It is very heavy so use wall anchors with your screws to safely secure it to the wall. The wood backing on the inside that covers the mirror has a couple of gouges in the wood. You could remove the backing and replace the mirror with glass if you wanted to use it as a display case. I purchased this charming antique medicine cabinet from an antique store in 1983. I haven’t seen another one like this one since. I filled it with vintage toiletries and hung it in my powder room. Everyone always complimented me on this beautiful piece. I have recently remodeled. The item was acquired from an estate and it is in good clean condition. The outside measurements of the frame are 18 3/4" wide and 23" high and the highest point of the curve. It would accommodate a mirror that was 16" wide and 24 1/2" high at the highest point of the curve. Two very small pieces of the surface wood are broken off on the lower right side of the frame and there are a couple of pieces of surface wood missing on the back side of the frame. N O RESERVE! Thanks for looking. This is an amazing set. This is a 1930's Stanley Furniture Co. art deco dresser and vanity with mirror. The inlay work is unbelievable. The dresser has 3 drawers plus the top open for storage. The dress is 4ft. tall. The hardware is orginial. As far as flaws there is a small crack on the side about 2 inches. There is a nail size hole in the front and a tiny piece of the veneer missing. The vanity is in wonderful. The mirror is grand. THe work in the inlay is beautiful. Straight from my bureau comes this lovely antique beveled plateau mirror. True antiqued brass on scrolled flower feet has a lovely slight shine to it. Measures 10” inches across& about 1 ½” inches in height. Mirror is thick with good reflection& only has a ½” spot of clouding. However it does have a few scratches on the glass. It looked fine on my bureau& your focus is on the bottles anyway. Good, solid construction- well made& heavy. These really are a beautiful accent to a grouping of bottles& this is a great size. VINTAGE LIGHTED MEDICINE WALL CABINET SHELF VANITY MIRROR WITH SCONCES REGENCY
We are pleased to offer this FABULOUS. Mid Century, Hollywood Regency, recessed wall medicine vanity cabinet. This rare cabinet features a wonderful, sophisticated design with ornate gilt wood style facade. It has 2 side arms with ATTACHED lighted wall sconces. The sconces have heavy, cut crystal shades with Mid Century acrylic bottom"tassels" The hardware(arms and sconce backs) is gilt brass. Each sconce has a single light bulb receptical. The large oval mirror is surrounded by a lovely frame. The frame has a deep, Italianate or French styled, classical design with a beaded interior border. The frame is also the cabinet door which has a magnetic closure. It opens to reveal a large storage area. There are 3 shelves; 2 that can be removed and one that is the bottom of the cabinet. The two center shelves have a smaller"sub shelf" ... morefor smaller items. The cabinet has an electrical wiring box on the back at the top. On the side is an on/off switch with a dimmer control for the sconces. There are also 2 electrical outlets on the side. This is a very nicely constructed cabinet. The mirror frame/door is made of a hard plastic. Very much in the Syroco style with a metal interior. It is in very good condition. The mirror is excellent with no scratches. The interior cabinet/shelf unit and the under side frame are metal. There is some wear on the interior finish of the shelf unit which can be easily be corrected with a little spray paint. The arms and sconces are gilt brass. The frame is in wonderful condition as are the sconces. The wiring is very good and the cabinet is ready to be installed! The cabinet is nicely sized. ANTIQUE VANITY SET BAKELITE DRESSER HAND MIRROR VINTAGE LOOKING GLASS
This is a very old vanity or dresser set in great condition. The items appear to be bakelite but I am going by what I was told when I purchased the lot at an estate sale. The pictures show the pieces to have a design or it might be stains that bleed throughout the backs with metal tear drops in the center. There are no cracks or chips in the glass. I only used water to clean these because I did not want to jeapordize damaging the set with any chemicals. The measurements are as follows. Mirror: 10 inches long X 3 1/2 inches wide. Brush: 8 inches long X 2 1/4 inches wide. File: 6 3/4 inches long X 1 inch wide. Container or Storage Box: 7 inches long X 2 inches wide x 1 inch deep.
